Breaking the new HPI WR8 Subaru in. The G3.0 HO engine is fantastic has lots of power and idles so smoothly. I couldn’t recommend getting a WR8 enough.
That's a nice rc, I bought the wr8 flux when it first came out and love it. The secret to good rc rally is finding the right type of surface to race on. 👍
Awesome man! I break in my new engines, i do 5 break in tanks. (preheat engine every start and let cool all the way at bottom dead center after every tank) 1st tank, idle rich, 2nd quarter throttle and stop repeatedly, 3rd half throttle stop then go, 4th slowly go full throttle for a sec and then brake, 5th tank more full throttle. all my engines had atleast 3 quarts, and have high pinch still and run well
I was into nitro cars like 20 years ago, back then if you didn't buy an OS you had nothing but problems, it looks like nowadays most brands are pretty decent

Great vid man that Subaru Impreza isn’t hanging around them G3.0 engines are quick it could do with a two speed. my fav is the 99 Subaru Impreza i have a kyosho fw03 with the 99 Subaru Impreza Richard Burns body shell and i am just about to build it up with some mods that i have i definitely won’t be Rallying it.👍
Hello, it holds the tune really well I haven’t once had to adjust it. I did try adjusting to get a little more top end but didn’t effect it at all to be honest
On tarmac it handles amazing as you can see when I try to do a doughnut it has so much grip and flips it on its side. The sway bars really help it with cornering.
Help! i broke-in the engine on mine a few days ago. haven’t touched a thing since then but i can’t get it to start today. i’ve already checked all the basic troubleshooting
Check the glow plug to see if it still works and make sure you have fuel going in the carb. Check to see if you have accidentally touched the throttle trim on your controller. Maybe use that to adjust to help start, hope this helped

Yeah a lot faster then I thought. It’s a shame they don’t have a 2 speed but might be a bit to fast for a light off-road car

Yeah I was thinking would of been cool with a two speed. But wouldn’t be as good for off-road if it did have the two speed

Are you sure its the proper way to breaking the engine?
In the manual says 2 tanks at ideal. Then 2 tanks at half throttle in a circle. After the 4th you can then lean the engine out.

I have just brought a speed gps meter so it will be in a future video mate. It was quicker then I thought though 👍🏻
