What about the weightage of questions? Before, we had 40 questions worth 40 marks, so each question was worth nearly 1 mark. But now, we have 27 questions and 40 marks, which means each question is worth approximately 1.5 marks. Is it harder than before? This is because if one question is answered incorrectly, we will lose 1.5 marks, whereas previously, we would only lose 1 mark.
on the bright side, you will gain 1.5 mark instead of 1 if you give a correct answer. so its balanced. engineering exams like JEE has 4 marks each question and -1 for wrong answer, others have 1 mark for correct answer and -0.25 for wrong answer. it doesnt matter much. overall its better to give a 2 hour test than 4 hour test in which around 1 hour is spent on unscored section and writing essays which have no score

I have a doubt that some people are saying taking gre from home is a bit disadvantage bcz the universities will know from where u have given ur exam and will cancel ur score regardless to whether u have given genuinely or by copying..so please let me know!

The same applies when you are correct. So it is more riskier than the old gre pattern.
