just some facts, this stadium had around a 70,000 person attendance, just for that night only. There largest concert was around 80 - 90 thousand people, for around three nights in a row. They have sold upwards of 70 million albums, and had six number one singles. This tour was also the 15th highest grossing tour of all time. They are generally regarded as the biggest boyband in history, (in my opinion The Beatles were more than just a boyband so dont come for me). Some people argue that BTS is bigger, but BTS only got real fame in 2017, and though they are pretty well known, the majority of their fanbase resides in Asia, vs One Direction who undoubtably achieved worldwide superstardom. So while BTS might have a big fanbase, and a lot of awards, they're fame is very concentrated, ie. you either know them, or you don't, vs One Direction who are somewhat of a household name. I think the majority of Americans(i dont know about other countries) definitely know a One Direction song, even if they don't realize it. :) hope i didnt sound like a total 1D nerd lol, also no hate to BTS i think they are awesome people.
Fun fact: everyone in the fandom calls louis lou-e without an s, interviewers, the boys even his younger sisters... ( it kinda is a pet peeve when people pronounce the s...) but before the x-factor louis used to go by louis ( pronounce the s ) he said that when simon pronounced his name without the s he didn’t feel the need to correct him therefore everyone from the point on called him lou-e :)
his real name was still lou-ie tho, but he didn't like it when he was younger so his friends called him louis (pronounced as lewis) although his family still called him lou-ie even before the x factor so yeah it is indeed his real name
his name is french btw that's why the s is silent, and from the very few amount of french classes i've had i know that s's are usually silent after vowels
SAN Siro is a huge arena. I don’t remember how many it took but it was filled all the way up to the roof. (And they did the concert two nights in a row, both sold out) Surely they would look like ants from so far away. At least they had huge screens to help with that. Mmm that fan project still gets to me. The boys didn’t know that would happen.
random information about san siro: san siro is the stadium that hosts the matches of inter and milan, and is one of the most famous stadiums in the world; it can hold almost 75,923 people seated, so for a normal football match. At the concert, there were almost 120,000 seated fans and standing fans. The project with the flags and the lettering was made by the fans who circulated these ideas on twitter and then contact those who had to ask for the various permits, were brought in these volunteers hours before the concert to be able to fix everything. Italy and the world love one direction and they showed it to them. Sometimes it’s nice to be Italian, even if I didn’t follow them and I didn’t go, although Milan is not far from where I live, it’s still a great satisfaction to see what they are and we managed to do.

You think their tickets were expensive?? You better not check out Harry’s then lmao, too much capitalism. Tbh in theory that amount of money is a lot but for some front row seat in an 80k stadium.. I think it’s fair. Harry’s tickets I have no explanation for, the venues he’s performing at aren’t even as big but the prices are crazy high even for seats in the very back. I was planning on getting both a Louis and a Harry ticket for each of their shows in my city (obviously before this covid thing happened) and I got Louis’ (which wasn’t even expensive, like a $100 and close to the stage, and with the show Louis puts on and the live music I think it’s very much worth it) but I couldn’t even do a back seat for Harry’s show, I have no clue why they prices are so mad high, no offense to him but no show is worth THAT much money. Especially not for a seat in the back.
Dangg how much were the back seat tickets if I may ask? And I reacted to another San Siro live today which will be out in a few days but I saw them back seats super far away and I would be mad it if i paid the prices that some people were commenting down below for me to barely see them 😂😂😂
