That Church is sooo beautiful. I'm so glad it survived it's torrid history. The stained glass is magnificent and the artefacts tell so much history. The stone coffins are interesting. Thank God it's in good hands now.
How beautiful is all that stained glass! Beautiful is not enough, stunning. We have nothing in rich history like the Abbey and I love to learn the history. Your music is so soothing as we tour with you. That rosary window is amazing. I would love to hear a mass in this church. Thank you for making this time to look inside our souls as we feel the pain and glory of Ireland. Peace be with you all.
Thanks very much Rich, this has some of the most beautiful stained glass windows I have ever seen, especially the Rosary window, I'm am so blessed to be able to visit and bring you all with me on my travels ❤️
Such a GORGEOUS church!! I'm SOOOOOO glad that the Dominicans are still, even after all these years!! The stained glass windows are ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Take care, and stay safe!! XXXX
Such a beautiful church. The stained glass windows, stone walls and artifacts are amazing and you can sense the peace in the place even today. Its heartening to know that not everything is forgotten with the passing of time. So glad its being maintained and thanks for sharing ⛪🕯️
This is so beautiful ,you can tell by the way it’s structured that it’s an old one I was delighted to see the old medieval graves. They were extremely snug and heavy by the looks of it I have never seen the inside of one ,just a closed couple whilst visiting Scotland .I love the beautiful stained glass windows and you answered a lot of my questions I asked yesterday.I was not aware Cromwell went to Ireland. He was relentless..I am so.glad Beautiful old buildings like this were saved.we have a lot of Abbeys and the Monasteries that were desolated in ruins all over the U.K.So sad because they were once so beautiful. Thanks for showing us around..Love n Light 🥰
Really nice video of the Black Abbey.Once again thank you Sue for sharing this. I so appreciate all the work you put into these productions. Bless you!
Thank you Sue, the church was so beautiful. The stained glass was spectacular especially the one depicting the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary. Thank you again. ❤
so beautiful one thing about buildings over there from the 15,000 through the 17,000 they don't change much from what they were back than such craftsmanship and beauty ❤ I so thankful for you bringing us along to these wonderful places that other wise I would never get a chance to see ❤ Thank you
A beautiful Church, so well restored and kept pristine. The stain glassed windows are magnificent. So sad Comwell and his men destroyed so much in Ireland and the UK. I enjoyed listening to the history if this Church, credit to you Sue and thank you 💕🇦🇺
Such a beautiful church Thank you Sue for the tour...you are now one of my favorite channels. After all who try to destroy the Faith, it has endured through this church (and others) and especially in the people. The gates of hell will not prevail. God bless.
Thank you Sue. This is a Beautiful Church. I enjoyed hearing you talk about it. And it's History. Take care and God Bless. Love respect and positivity always. Neita james. 🙂👋.
That was great , so much has gone into that building. Their belief was very strong . Beginning to understand more now . Was that chopin backing music. Very nice anyway.
I believe that this is one of your best videos Sue and GV. This one is now one of my favorites. The Abby is beautiful, both inside and outside, and looks to be in good condition, considering its age. The stone coffins ⚰️ in the front were very interesting, it looks like at least some of the remains were removed at some point in time. But I really enjoyed the stain glass windows 🪟 Thank you very much Sue and GV, for a wonderful walking tour! Take care.
what a lovely Abbey. And i think its the same William Marshall, our most famous Knight and kingmaker, i think he married an Irishwoman of nobility and spent many years in Ireland, again Sue thx for sharing xxx
An awesome video Sue! The abbey is indeed hallowed ground. What an incredible (and often turbulent) history its had...at times its very existence seemed to be hanging by a thread, but they persevered, a great credit to them. The structure and everything in it, the artifacts, etc, are amazing (the stained glass too) - i know we could spend a lot of time in there exploring! You did a great job putting the vid together as well! :)
@@SerenitySueGraveyards we def have a love for it! Ive never put any you tube stuff together but know it doesnt just happen. Theres some older graveyards n churches around here, but certainly none that go back to the 12th-14th century lol!
Sue, what can be said in a few words. I am dumb founded, amazed and my breath was taken away. I can never understand why people follow a religion set up by a despot. (Got me) God Bless & Thank You

It has quite a history and still there after all that time
It is said that Cromwell stable his horse in the Abbey as an insult.
Oh really 😨❤

I believe that referred to a murderer called Hunter ground
Ooohhh sounds like it should with a name like that 🤔 😳❤️

Hi Hazel, I'd love to go up that way, I've a very long bucket list 🍀🇮🇪❤️
