Despite of every thing you say, Origin OS is just a no go for me. Did they fix the notifications that never arrived? Did they fix the location services that don't report your location? Have you tried Android Auto dongle to bypass the native not working? Have you managed to bypass all the useless (for us) Chinese background services?
Oppo Find x7 Ultra pushed a periscope zoom camera update and it improved alot, might be better than Vivo X100 Ultra right now, if you have the device can you do a comparison between them?
It can have, but overall the amount of photo/video features present on Vivo trumps anything from Oppo, Xiaomi, I don't even talk about Samsung or Apple.

I love my x100 ultra, only reason my SIM isn't in it is because my OnePlus watch 2 isn't compatible. (I lied I had to try the pixel 9 pro XL too). Hope we get global ultras from Vivo in 2025.
Great comparison. Im thrilled with my X100 Ultra I bought from your store. Certainly the best camera system I've ever used, the quality of the zoom continues to impress me, and that main sensor. Ive not even got into macros yet. I was a bit nervous about the chimese Rom, but I really like Origin OS, everything works just as it should, the notifications worked straight away. Apart from Google Tasks, that now works as it should. I was surprised how much i like the stock widgets. I have a Garmin watch, that works brilliantly with it, and luckily my car is too old for android Auto! There's already been 2 camera updates as well.
Great comparison! My top two phones are the Vivo X100 Ultra and the Oppo X7 Ultra. I know the X100 Pro is a more than capable camera. But it can't be in my top flagship category without QHD and SD Gen 3

Can you tell me if Ultra have this option to scroll down notification bar and there is also shortcut icons (vibration mode, wifi etc) on one bar like it was normaly years ago (Xiaomi give that option, and Vivo X70Pro+ in origin os he it also). Cause I really can't stand those modern bars when you have 2 separate to notification and shortcuts icons, and hey are not customizable.
I have X100 Pro. It is a great camera. But don't like the software. Because it is a Chinese version. It kills background apps very aggressively. Specially it disconnect the wifi if not in use for a long time.
Pls consider this. When you present recordings from cameras, especially while comparing two devices, it might be crucial to turn off the music as I literally couldn't hear what you're saying. Not to mention mic recording quality. TLDR you speak - music off. You don't speak or you present pictures - music ok. Peace
A lot of the pictures you showed, X100 pro was better. Much more natural colors. Punchy but not oversaturated like on X100 ultra. Also the X100 pro had better HDR in most shots including video.
I think the camera housing would actually the problem for me if I were to use any of these Chinese phones. I tried the OnePlus 12 in the store I couldn't find it appealing. The one inch sensor camera is causing this gigantic bump. They need a way around it like what Huawei did. Vivo was the first in China to start making phones with huge camera bumps. It has taken over all the flagship phones from there
Good review. Using the x100 pro global, unsure if upgrading to the ultra and using Color Os over funtouch, but the ultra and camera kit has my name all over it.
I bought it recently and it is working great. Google services run great and the camera is fantastic! I am seriously impressed by it. It has a very nice bokeh effect and takes great pictures whatever mode you select. The phone itself run smoothly.
the only thing i don't like about the ultra is the downgraded fingerprint sensor from x90 pro+, i get it they wanted to save some money and use some in-house sensor but is a bad move after giving us the 3x bigger sensor on x90 pro+ from qualcome
The Find X7U still looks better! And the cameras are close enough that I don't regret buying it over the Vivo. And I will buy my next Chinese phone from you. Probably the X8U because I'm falling in love with ColorOS 😅

Good evening everybody. I absolutelly agree with the Average Dad! My problem is that I change device smartphone every 5 years. And without software updates i can have a lot of problems with the device, specially with battery. And if I by the Vivo x100 Pro released in 2023 (for me because of the better optomized colors), in two years i will not have updates. This is strange. What do you all think?

As confirmed by Vivo, they put an ad out saying they had no plans to release as a global, most Chinese OEMs keep the ultras exclusive. Annoying but it is what it is.

Unwatchable with that terrible music, then he talks on top, and had to stop watching the video.
It was probably miss-edit to stop the music at the front camera video recording, but forgot to do edit that part.

imo the photos are better on the Pro from this specific comparison, im sure with an update the Ultra will be better refined an perform better
X100 ultra is amazing,but X100 pro funtouch version takes decidedly worse photos especially in zoom compared to the origin version that is known

on gsm arena it says the x100 pro has 100w wired charging and 50w wireless. vivo x100 ultra has 80w wired and 30w wireless.
