I have lived and work in many part of Asia and the west and presently working in Shanghai , i never failed to keep locally bred or imported grey, green, lemon finches and its amazing how every finches form these different part of the world develop their own unique tones and ranges. Here in china I have seen amazing green singers with tones and ranges that I have never seen in the part of the world. I find Chinese bred grey and green finches are smaller in size and don't have the habit of eating egg food and worms. unfortunately the chinese government have put a ban on importing birds into china and the quality of birds are getting poorer, I used to buy Spanish imported green singers here in Shanghai and I find they have the best vocal range of them all.
