I don't think Disney has their own silver coin, but you can get some Disney coins from other places like the New Zealand Mint. They have some cool looking ones there. www.nzmint.com/collections/disney
There is a 4th machine in DCA that is not listed in the App. it is up the stairs in the Magic Key Terrace by where you check in with the hostess. If your not a Magic Key Holder, Just ask the person at the reservation desk if you could just go up the stairs to medallion machine, more then likely they will let you.
I'm not really sure, but since they are coins, you can probably find a lot of coin cleaning tips on TH-cam. I'm sure there will be a bunch that mention vinegar and salt, or maybe toothpaste and baking soda.
The Disney 100 celebration is expected to end on December 31st, 2023. I'm guessing they may keep these medallion machines around until they are all sold out or if they need the machines for newer medallions.
Disneyland's locations are listed in the app and I had help from a friend who got all the pictures of the machines for me. For WDW, I had to get the info from articles, videos, and forums.

You mention imperfections. On my trip I managed to be caught in a rain storm at WDW. Is there anyway to clean the medallions you suggest?

Get a jewelers cloth to polish off water stains.
