The reason he is so emotionless is because the emotions have already killed him inside (he lost his mom, dear friends, his uncle, his comrades and ERWIN). HE SACRIFICED ERWIN FOR THE SAKE OF HUMANITY.
I can't believe how much effort the creators have put on him. He is easily one of the BEST characters in the Anime World.

It is mentioned that Levi is the most emotional chara in aot but he had to go through so much so he is to strong to show it i mean farlan, isabel, petra and all the others
It's Jetti If you read the manga because we don't see a lot of him in season 1 & 2 it's kind of obvious that he's a good and kind hearted man but he can also be aggressive

This is so beautiful, I was about to cry my eyes out. Levi is (obviously) my favorite character, and it hurts to see him hurt, even if he is a fictional character.
