I want the NFL to switch the terminology of some positions. Like, Bobby Wagner and TJ Watt are both LB but play 2 different roles. Just put pass rushing LB and DE as Edge rushers and have the stand-up players be known as LB
I agree completely man. I just use Edge, LB and IDL. keeps it simple, and means both 4-3 and 3-4 schemes are using the same positions.
Especially since the true nose tackle is basically extinct at this point, so the difference between a 3-4 DE and nose tackle is basically academic. But I suppose you could have IDL/DT and NT as distinct positions on the depth chart if you really wanted to.
