I have been going through all of Golan Brochi’s old podcasts and it’s like peeling an onion. Understanding the whole bible through Jewish eyes and with the help of his knowledge of Hebrew, adds layers upon layers. Sometimes it almost takes my breath away. I am thanking our God for him and all at One for Israel.

Well, call me gobsmacked! I am an info-junkie with an inclination toward deep-diving ancient history, and a gentile blessed to attend a couple of Messianic Jewish congregations for several years, and I thought I had learned a lot of stuff. I have been enlightened! This explains an awful lot, but also makes me very very sad for the Jewish people who have been deceived by this cult, but happy to know that there is hope. Bless you, bless you, bless you!

Wow, One for Israel, thank you for this! As a Gentile believer in Yeshua (formerly attending Baptist, Methodist and independent Charismatic churches) I have been puzzled why the Jews don't more readily accept Messiah because of Isaiah 53, Psalm 22, etc. I have gradually become aware that they don't even READ these passages, that the rabbis direct them away from Messianic scriptures, but I was not aware of the "substitution system" they have incorporated because of the Temple's destruction (Talmud replacing Torah, rabbi replacing priest, yeshiva replacing the Temple). Wow, this really clarifies for me why a certain well-known, online rabbi did not respond AT ALL to me when I sent him a poem I wrote. He said he was looking forward to reading it, but he never responded. It was a celebration of the mysterious power and endless, living wisdom and LOVE of the Torah. Ohhh, boy. . .I get it now. . .I blew him away. . .he didn't know HOW to respond. . .to him, it was like I was speaking Martian. . .

      No. Not the "first" Rabbi.
What he is saying is Yeshua was the first RECORDED Rabbi in a "manuscript" i.e. the NT.
I thought this was delivered in a sloppy confusing fashion.
What they want is for you to buy the book to gain more clarity. And I have no problem with that..I love and support everything and everyone associated with One For Israel but the way this subject was broached and left did little in my opinion to augment sales.

Paused at 4:34 to negate this statement that Biblical Judaism ended at the fall of the Temple, because the Prophet Micah in his book in 3:12 proclaimed it as even it stands today that Zion (City of David) had become a "plowed field" as aerial photos from the 1930s have shown.
On the top of Mount Zion there used to be woods as Micah said and now, true-to-form, there's a "Shrine" on it (with a golden dome) .

I disagree with the word “Christianity” in the professor’s thesis. Christianity is inherently anti-Jewish and has proven that over the millennia. Biblical faith in Yeshua actually has nothing to do with Christianity. But that aside, if we are talking about faith in the Jewish Messiah promised to Israel in Tanach, then this is very enlightening - that rabbinical Judaism came about as a reaction/response to Yeshua’s influence.
The book Rabbi Akiba’s Messiah by Dan Gruber is worth reading, for anyone interested in more details about the “rabbi” and his “messiah.”

If some Jews wanted to reject the NT that is fine as not all Jews are gathered as believers before the return. Daniel was probably the wisest OT Prophet as he had all the relevant books and many visits from Angels.
The Gospel of John and the Revelation of John were written by the Disciple of John the Baptist that was with Andrew in John:1 and signs off as a Disciple of John's. Also in John:1 is confirmation that his being called was a fulfillment of some OT references. John was called by God and his family tree is as great as it gets as Moses and Aaron are both included.
    Lu:3:1-4:
Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,
Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea,
and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee,
and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis,
and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,
Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests,
the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
And he came into all the country about Jordan,
    preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet,
    saying,
The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Lord,
    make his paths straight.
    Mal:3:1:
    Behold,
    I will send my messenger,
and he shall prepare the way before me:
    and the Lord,
    whom ye seek,
shall suddenly come to his temple,
even the messenger of the covenant,
    whom ye delight in:
    behold,
    he shall come,
    saith the LORD of hosts.
    Joh:1:6-7:
There was a man sent from God,
    whose name was John.
The same came for a witness,
to bear witness of the Light,
that all men through him might believe.
    He was not that Light,
but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
    Joh:1:35-40:
Again the next day after John stood,
    and two of his disciples;
And looking upon Jesus as he walked,
    he saith,
    Behold the Lamb of God!
And the two disciples heard him speak,
    and they followed Jesus.
    Then Jesus turned,
    and saw them following,
    and saith unto them,
    What seek ye?
    They said unto him,
    Rabbi,
(which is to say, being interpreted,
    Master,)
    where dwellest thou?
    He saith unto them,
    Come and see.
They came and saw where he dwelt,
and abode with him that day:
for it was about the tenth hour.
One of the two which heard John speak,
    and followed him,
    was Andrew,
    Simon Peter's brother.
    Joh:21:24:
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things,
    and wrote these things:
and we know that his testimony is true.
The OT needs the Gospel of John the Baptist to understand who the 'little horn' from Da:8 is how they are involved in the 70th week from Da:9. The vision and explanation from Da:7 and Re:17 are referencing the same 10 men and that is the last kingdom before Jesus comes as a sword carrying King and reclaims the whole earth, rather than just the promised land.
Revelation also fills in some blanks, such as how long the punishment lasts for the ones killed by a sword in Isa:65. The answer is 1,000 years in hell for the sinners while 'believers' are given 'rewards'.

20:00 Paul would have been weeping because of the prophecy about the beggar Lazarus and the Rich Man as he represents the Jewish money-changers and the Rabbis in Matthew:23 simply because Saul could have been in that audience.
Paul did not see the big picture, his writings apply up to the time the trumps sound and the two witnesses being a 3 1/2 year ministry and then he writes about the Re:20:4 resurrection.
When Paul went to Jerusalem it was almost 50 days after Passover and the Jews he met with were the Apostles only or he would have had to condemn the city as the Apostles did not convert anybody between the time Stephen was killed and 70AD. (Luke:12:24)
      M'r:6:11:
And whosoever shall not receive you,
      nor hear you,
      when ye depart thence,
shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them.
      Verily I say unto you,
It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment,
      than for that city.
This series is hard to reply to because the theme is that it is better to follow Jews that are blind about the big picture (Matthew:23 type) than it is to follow any Gentile believer who can see the big picture because they believe the whole Bible is the word of God., even a very honest one. That is very flawed and your blindness prevents you from seeing the hypocrisy of the idea. In a literal reading of the Bible (and it can only be literal or spiritual and never both) a Gentile coming to Israel should be greeted by all members of the 12 Tribes going back to Abraham's son Joseph. Today Moses and Elias are not even there in vision form so why would this gathering not be labeled 'premature' and the prophecies are pretty clear that the whole area will be void of all life due to the way Jesus makes His entrance. The scattering to Neb's Babylon was over sin, the scattering in the De:4 prophecy is because the area is slated to be controlled by Satan before Jesus returns. If not for the 144,000 being sealed there would be nobody from the 12 Tribes alive to witness the return. Considering that comes from Eze:39 I should not be the one doing the explanations. Since I can do that you might want to consider all I have to say once I have moved on. That is only based on the key to understanding the Bible is in the last book to be the end of what began in Ge:1.
The 12 Tribes and the Gentile Church are gathered at the same time and that simply has not happened. Jerusalem was in sin in 70AD, what signs are there that God has made all Jews like the Apostles as the persecution seems to be the same as it was in the NT, the Matthew:23 Jews are persecuting Jews that believe the doubting Thomas story is true and any Gentile has to accept what a Jew says about the Bible, without question. That would make God reject me and in all honesty being part of the Church is like being in the Choir that is learning a new song which is really a new song making a comeback. That shows the past has been ruled by people with a different doctrine.

      1Th:5:21:

      M'r:12:30:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
      and with all thy soul,
      and with all thy mind,
      and with all thy strength:
      this is the first commandment.
      Jas:2:1-11:
      My brethren,
have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
      For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing,
      and say unto him,
      Sit thou here in a good place;
      and say to the poor,
      Stand thou there,
or sit here under my footstool:
Are ye not then partial in yourselves,
and are become judges of evil thoughts?
      Hearken,
      my beloved brethren,
Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith,
and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
But ye have despised the poor.
Do not rich men oppress you,
and draw you before the judgment seats?
Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?
If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, y
      e do well:
But if ye have respect to persons,
      ye commit sin,
and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law,
and yet offend in one point,
      he is guilty of all.
      For he that said,
      Do not commit adultery,
      said also,
      Do not kill.
Now if thou commit no adultery,
      yet if thou kill,
thou art become a transgressor of the law.

The teaching of Almighty God, Yhwh/Jehovah, supported by Yahshua/Jesus Christ and revealed by Moses, is the most advanced science that is universally available to all those that want it. Every star and every atom has these laws etched into them which is that they are all the product of Almighty God's dynamic energy...His Mighty Power...and we have that same energy surging through our own bodies until we cut ourselves off from it and this is easily done when we abandon righteousness. It is an electric force that our Deity prefer to call a spiritual force, but it amounts to the same thing. It is the loving and caring force-field we generate within our families and those we love. It bonds us to many people who share our thoughts and ideals...it is the guidance tool that tells us what is right and what is wrong. It is much more than this though...It is invisible and indestructible, and if we want to be indestructible we must abide by some very special righteous laws...we then find we stamp our own persona upon our own indestructible spirit that, like Yahshua, on the event of his untimely death, will reach out for a new vessel...the most righteous vessel available to us which in our saviour's case was his own, and take up residence within it. Not so violators of righteousness...they will have to spiritually roam around the ether until the appointed time of resurrection and hope their sins don't exceed what is acceptable to our Deity.

How you honor the Holy Communion, and what is read as scripture, when gathered as the church/kahal.
Man made tradition, woman shaves head and wears wig.

Interesting but doesn't convince me that to believe in Jesus as the messiah or running to join the Haredim movements. Both are pagan movements who claim they descend from Biblical Judaism. I just see opportunists. I now have no doubt that both are not the religion that was given to us through Moses. If Moses was denied the title of the Messiah then no one can claim it. Interesting that Akivah was not of Jewish lineage. I will research that on my own. But it explains a lot why both Christianity (second coming theory), Habad, Hassidic, and Breslev sects are constantly putting forth a new messiah and praying to dead men as gods with pagan like rituals.

The entire vowel system is a part of the Oral law; without it, it would be impossible for both Jews and Christians to make sense of the Tanakh. Furthermore, did the G-d of Israel not know that there will be times when Jews are in exile and that they will have no temple for much of history?
This is exactly what was taught by the blessed prophets of Israel in (Hosea 3:4-5) and you may ask: What should Jews do now that there is no temple standing in Jerusalem?
The answer lies in (Hosea 14:3) “and let us render for bulls the offering of our lips.” The Christian Bible completely alters the meaning of this verse in (Hosea 14:2).
I urge you my brothers and sisters to read (1 Kings 8:46-50) and turn to the G-d of Israel today.
The Oral Torah was given along with the Written Torah to Moshe Rabbeinu (Moses our Rabbi) on Mount Sinai and anyone who says otherwise is a heretic.
Please listen to Rabbi Tovia Singer and return to the truth of Tanakh.

POD 4 Israel, you, or Dr. Brosh, MUST clarify the statement that Yeshua was the first historical figure to be called "Rabbi".
To make such a statement and not elucidate much more thoroughly was in my opinion damaging. To not clarify something of that nature is how anti-semetic thoughts expand, even within the body of Yeshua.
I am not disputing Yeshuas' exclusive right to the title! No. But as a 40 year messianic believer I know how easily this can be distorted when witnessing to Jews.

You begin by distorting what was said. Nobody is claiming God resorted to Christianity as an expedient to replace the Temple after it was destroyed. For one thing, you got the order wrong. Human sacrifice is a simple selfish formula A sacrifices B to help A, and is rightly rejected on the basis of its selfishness. Self-sacrifice is the spiritual opposite, A sacrifices A to help B. Dismissing this as "human sacrifice" is equivocation of the first order.

I am told that there is a holy ghost in flesh that is separate from the holy spirit. The holy ghost in flesh has the spirit of truth which is a direct link to god. Others born of the spirit have seven spirits that being love peace joy wisdom knowledge understanding hope. Ive written 50 books from when I got the spirit in 2007. I have the gift from god to read souls. Sin comes as a result of our animal nature this is fear lust greed deception jealousy envy and guilt. Being born of the spirit means we get rid of our fear jealousy envy etc etc we all have different sin and we get the spirit of god. And the spirit of god changes how we feel and from how we feel we think.

I hope people have enough historical and Scriptural foundation to recognize that this is way off! Rabbibical judaism is certainly NOT the religion of the Tanakh, but it started during the exile of Judah to Babylon--where they had to reinvent the religion due to not having the Temple and Levitical service while in exile, and they returned to the land after the exile with a syncretistic "mystical judaism" (Babylonian mysiticism/kabbalah/oral law)--NOT after the destruction of the second Temple. This notion that it has roots in Christianity is 100% untrue, but it IS true that the rabbis later modified the "torah" ("oral law" and Talmud), in reaction to Christianity. 100% certain that the "torah" being taught in modern (rabbinical) Judaism is NOT the Law of Moshe/NOT the Tanakh--and IS a "man-made cult" (the extension of the Pharisees after the destruction of the Temple, yes), but Yeshua was certainly NOT the first rabbi, nor was the Passover meal eaten during the Passion Week the "first seder"--that is ludicrous! (but the Seder being developed as later tradition to "counter" "Easter practices" is partially true). How you would even air this is beyond comprehension. shalom
