  • Troubleshooting: A very annoying situation while on a jobsite having your plural component proportioner giving you a pressure imbalance. In this case we deal with the Graco E-XP2 Reactor and the pressure remains high on the A or ISO side. Follow the discussion on www.polyureafor...

I use either Acetone or high flash Naptha. I flush three times changing with clean solvent each time. After that I push DOP "plasticizer" through the system and shut it down for storage. The whole process can take about two hours. I flush for a minimum of 30 minutes each time.

Hi! Do you circulate acetone to clean the machine? On each side? I never tried it, but maybe should. We are using nitro thinner on the B side, and dichloromethane or mesamoll on the A side.

@@KlementPeter currently I now use VersaFlush from VersaFlex. Works way better than Acetone or VMP Naptha. It will even break down some of the hard ISO that’s built up in the system too. I flush with it and while flushing the A side I’ll place a strainer bag over the line once I have the ISO out and I’ll let it recirculate for a half hour or so. Then I’ll close it off and let it sit for the night.
Then the next day I’ll replenish with clean VersaFlush and recirculate again while using the strainer bag to catch any debris. I’ll let it recirculate for another half hour to a hour. You can either go back to your material or just leave the VersaFlush in the system for long term storage then.

Did you ever find the problem here ? What’s was the reason to B side drop like that when you spray ?

Basically, it was internally in our long hose, b side, build up. At the moment and at a glance, there was no way of telling. Had it soaked with xylene overnight and poked with a steel wire, but carefully not to make a hole in the hose.

What kind of Gun are you using?
We use the Fusion AP gun and the Probler P2 for spraying BedLiners.

You got an a side restriction, leading off the pressure and resetting the machine will not help. It’s at the gun or your temps are too low viscosity is thicker on a side. With polly

Thanks, a lot of times it was the side valves on the gun. It happens a lot. Thanks for watching

Just a quick tip. Don't let you equipment sit idle for more than two weeks without either spraying enough material to replace the idle material that has sat in your hoses or just flush out the system with a approved procedure. If your hoses are restricted then you might have to replace them. Either way, it is an easy fix as it is a restriction and there are only so many areas that can be restricted. If need be, I can come and help you out to fix it man. Not trying to be smart, just offering you a hand is all. Everyone has to work together in the industry.

Resolvio este probloema? cual fue la causa?

Because it appears that your having simple problems that can be easily fixed. Readjusting the pressure and trying again is not going to help. You have a restriction over on the A side component. Probably in the gun most likely. And your sprayer should be wearing proper protective clothing and a negative pressure respirator with organic cartridges and P99 pre filters at best. Who's training class was it may I ask?

I'll put my money on it you had a restriction in your gun somewhere either in the side seal or your check valve screen was clogged.

I noticed the pressure was off from side a to side b. I had a graco reactor and its pressure was always off which caused a lot of problems. What's the cause of this issue?

Are you using fusion lube or a substitute lube. I found they don't work as well as Graco fusion lube

Sounds like your hose is plugged. Have you taken the whip off the hose to see if it may just be your whip plugged? The whip is usually the one to plug up first. As far as your flushing goes, pumping till clear isn't good enough. It takes time with a little heat to properly flush the system. As far as the Lacquer thinner goes, it may actually contain a little water, as can MEK. I always stay away from those solvents. If I can't get Acetone, I'll use VMP Naptha or high flash Naptha followed by a DOP purge to remove the solvent. Again, if you need me to come down to assist, let me know. I'm traveling to Indiana in the morning with an H-XP2 for a lease job.
