Love all the comments.I drink some liquids and was able to make the walk out.Jett and I are fine.Done another track since then.I got to give kudos to all the hunters who hunt down here in July Aug.And the distance you walk to your stand. The terrain is also bad.Congrats Ronald that was a great Buck. And Mark thanks for supporting fbtn and thanks again for letting me track this nice Buck.
I feel ya Perry. I'm 56 and not in the good shape I used to be in. I made the mistake of shooting two 150lb and one 250 lb hog on the same morning last season. That was a once in a lifetime event, I promise. Tell Jet I said GREAT JOB!
Man can’t wait! Love seeing the tracking dogs in action from Fl blood trackers network! Y’all are awesome at sharing real world situations with real world hunters
Ole Perry and Jet. Couple of the best. Had him come track for me a couple of years ago. Wasn't able to recover my deer cause of the property he ran on, but you could tell when Jet was on.
Them ol swamps are hard trackin and in the heat too….People can say what they want about florida but its some of the most difficult huntin in the country.
what a Hunt man.. Ronnie first ever 🏹🦌 and it got filmed... the recovery part we can relate.. hunting swamp and wet areas makes blood trailing challenging for sure. glad this turned out a successful hunt.. 🔥🔥🤙🏼🤙🏼✌🏼
Duuuuude this is as good as it gets!!! Young man hammering a beautiful buck, great content, excitement!!! Hell yes!!! Mark you said it best "I love this shit". Hahahaha you damn right!!!
Great video, great hunt. Really appreciate the shoutout in the beginning to all those involved with attending meetings working with the government and managers to keep access open for hunters. I like showing the process of the tracker too. It’s amazing what those dogs can do and it’s eye opening the first time you watch how the dogs work.
Wow . That's a beast Fla deer ! Way to stay after it . I know that heat is a killer . Your tracker guy is almost in distress. Congrats on a great hunt !
Very nice!😊 1st buck with a bow & got to see a dog track it. BTW, the dog got you within spotting distance. I'm thinking he backed off because his owner was hot & tired. That's a special dog.
I think he backed off cause he was like… uhhh we are here guys. The buck is here… find it! We just didn’t realize how close we were. We were 20 yds from it for like 15 minutes! -Mark
Thats one helluva a south florida buck, stud for sure! Congrats on obviously a really good permit pull and really nice buck!!! That tracking was amazing, poor Perry was hurting...lol
It's was dang hot.didnt hit me hard til we found the Deer.Gave Jett most of my water Definitely didn't hydrate myself enough. After we got Deer out And I got some liquids I. Was able to make that long walk out.thanks
@user-fy2lh4jg1t Glad you starting feeling better, its been brutally hot here lately. Thanks for everything you do. Do you track over in the area of Labelle, Fl.? Just good to know someone if you do., thanks again!
@user-fy2lh4jg1t good to know, my folks live in Avon Park, so i hunt there once in awhile, but we have a farm in Labelle that we hunt, thats why i was asking. Thanks brother
Wow; Fantastic: Awesome!! Now that is a great hunt to showcase why Florida; especially South Florida, is the hardest, toughest Place to hunt deer! Way to make it happen!!
I been watching ya'lls videos. Just regular guys that are super dedicated to what they love and give it 100%. Giving it 100% is what makes the difference between what I call success and failure and my buddy's wives call lucky and unlucky.
❤ man that buck was a stud!!! Great job and congrats on being able to record that special moment for your patreon!!! By the way, nice saddles if we do say so our selves
No not a career I enjoy doing it Was fine until we found the deer.Just gave my dog most of my water.Didnt hydrate enough.99 degrees.I don't know how you'll walk way back and hunt in that heat.
@@PerryLawrence-p8s Like I said, you and your dog did great. That heat is brutal for sure. I ran out of water while in my stand last weekend….it made that walk back long with more stops than I was anticipating... Lol If I ever need your assistance, do you cover all of Zone A?
@@PerryLawrence-p8syeah brother they should've got you outta there and then tended to getting that beautiful buck outta there. It looked like you were in bad shape. I had to call for help this last Tuesday down there hunting because I was delirious and outta water. I eventually jumped in the canal on the side of the road. I truly believe it saved me from passing out with not a soul alive knowing where I was. Pretty scary situation actually. And I'm thinking of doing it again tomorrow 😂😂😂🤷
That was a nice one! I got excited watching him walk down that trail. I'm Zone C, it's been brutal out lately, can only imagine how miserable that was. People don't understand those swamps are no joke!
I'm zone c as well.. I do it all alone to.. Sucks sometimes.. Shot my first fl deer/public land buck yesterday.. He was probably the smallest buck on earth but hey u take what u get.
@johncaputo205 congrats man! I've been lucky to be able to hunt some private mostly but been doing some public and man last week I wasn't sure I was going to make it out. I ended up deep and got into some mess. Going back though now I've learned a tough lesson.
Dude I cannot WAIT until I get to experience this!! Been hunting my ass off for all last season and already 5 days this year in south Florida, this is so damn cool!! And I can attest it was extremely HOT that weekend and this past Monday and Tuesday!!! Heat index of 112 on Tuesday in south central Florida !!! I'ma get me one no doubt!! Congratulations brother, well done!!!
Nice buck! Nice video, shows the challenges of bow hunting Fl. I hunt central & N. Fl and it's unbelievable hot there in September. Very rewarding when you're successful.
@SwampNStomp I think he meant your original post asking for a dog, been waiting for the video myself. I didn't even come back to the Facebook thread to see if yall found the buck, didn't want any spoilers 😂 congrats all around. That's one hell of a buck and an awesome experience for everyone! Mr. Perry, get yourself some liquid IV packs and down one before the track, that stuff goes a long way!
We don’t really get many ticks or chiggers, it’s too wet. Mosquitos are a real problem. They are bad in the dark and twilight, but once the sun is out they go into hiding. It’s too hot. -Mark
Hey guys first time hunting this year, I’ve got lower Suwanee and Ocala, with special hunts Saint Marks and Saint Vincent let me know if you guys would like the content I have bow and gun, special hunts, are bow only. But I would love some Florida experts to show me the ropes. I’m sure you guys get a bunch of these, just thought I’d ask. Thanks
We would have. If a dog wasn’t available we would have gone in there to grid search and we would have found it pretty quickly. It wasn’t far from where we thought it fell. But it sure helps to have a dog! -Mark
Alright, so I'm a bit of a ghost watcher. I started following your content after hearing you on a podcast, I think it was Southern Ground. I watch tons of hunting content, and I prefer the DIY guys like you that are just out there doing their own filming. I have to say this is one of the best videos I've ever seen. For me, I felt like it was just real. It was a real hunt. It was real guys. It was not edited in a way to make you guys seem better, or manipulated to make it seem like you had to go through things you didn't. It was just genuine. Hunting has enough highs and lows. Now, don't get me wrong, we all love seeing hunters hunt 200' bucks... but I PERSONALLY don't care to see the performative highly scripted/plotted/edited videos put out by SEEK1 200' buck, or the Dury Farms. We are also familiar with the outdoor content creators that recognize that we all love the "underdog element", and for entertainment purposes they edit to their videos to make it seem like they are overcoming incredible odds to put a big buck on the ground. I just enjoy creators that work to create an honest video about the highs and lows that come with hunting. I felt like I was right there. I felt like this was a video that me and my buddies would make. This a great man. I cant wait for the season to kickoff here in the South.
Hey man, those are some kind words! That’s exactly what we aim for. No bullshit… real life stuff. We aren’t trying to look bigger or better than anyone, we ar r just doing our thing and letting y’all tag along! Do us a favor and introduce the channel to a few friends! Good luck this season! -Mark
Ever hunt Guana River WMA or Osceola WMA? Any advice? I’ve taken a doe and a spike out of Guana and nothing ever out of Osceola. Been hunting for over a decade with little luck. Still looking for that 8+ for the wall!
Can I give you guys a little trick I don’t think you’re using. If you were you would’ve found that deer in 10 minutes. So after the shot on hog deer whatever. Just be absolutely quiet and listen. Just like you guys kind of did. But listen for the crash. You heard one fine, then another. And had a really good idea of where he was. But you didn’t mark it… I can listen to a crash within 250 yards and be able to mark within about 25-30 yards and go directly to that spot straight from the tree or blind every time. Here’s how. Once you shoot ok yea he runs off banging around etc etc. you hear one struggle maybe two and that’s where he lies. About xxx yards exactly in that direction. Visually and mentally pick a waypoint marker. A tree branch whatever and get a fully confident idea of exactly how far past exactly the tree right there. And stick to that immediate determination. Then get out your phone and pull up google earth. Figure out exactly where you are. Then put a marker. Then zoom in and draw a line from exactly where you are to exactly whatever landmark tree or whatever you picked for the direction you heard. And if you think it went 200 yards or 150 or whatever. Make your line 600’ or 450’. Or whatever… and place a second dot on google earth and leave that there. Take a screenshot of it. Go straight to that location using your phone. 80-90% of the time the deer is right there within 25-30 yards. If it’s not fine. Make sure you are exactly where your start point is and use google earth measurement again to draw a circular distance away from you say 50 yards. Close your circle and it’ll highlight it. Take another screenshot. Then grid that area. I don’t even bother with blood trails in standing water areas anymore. You know when you got to that deer after all that searching. Then waiting on a dog etc etc. once you found it you knew right away after you got your bearings right that yup. That’s about exactly where I heard him fall. And exactly how far I thought too. It’s easily pretty accurate to within about 20 yards every time. And I know where the deer is before I even get out of the tree… try it next time.
Hunter and camera man are like yea, wahooo, meanwhile the old man with the dog is laying on the ground about to die. Show the old man some love. He's probably 60 years old. I mean c'mon guys!

What broadhead, draw weight, and arrow weight was he shooting?
Magnus stinger 4 blade, 50 lb, not sure on the arrow weight
They kept that old man out there about to have a heat stroke. Very little concern for him. And wearing slides in the woods is criminal
