So today, whilst outside taking a break from work at uni, I was having a chat with a guy who's a DJ, but I didn't know his stage name. He told me he was into House and I asked if he's heard of Applebottom, since he's one of my favourite artists, and the guy looks at me oddly, "Haha, that's me" he replied...I'm on the same course as Applebottom!

I was 11 when it came out and I remember just jamming to it on repeat while playing facebook games. It was like a beautiful trance, and it still feels like it 10 years later.
I don’t make music but if I did, this is what I would want it to sound like, all of the subtleties included. Idk what happened to Applebottom, I’ve been coming to these tracks for 6+ years and still love them. Hard to top.

Take Studio 80 for example, it's very high in the top 100 clubs in the world, but it's very intimate and with this kind of music. Hope this helps, it's heaven.

Burial was one of the pioneers of this sort of sound, so you can hear a lot of his style on most chilled future garage or ambient bass sounds < the last 1 isn't really genres but u get the idea. But I wouldn't say this song alone is so much like Burial. In all honesty Burial could be one of the most influential talents in electronic music in the past 10 years. The whole distorted vocals, that we hear a lot of, were his signature. If you ask most electronic artists they would agree.
