My 2020 Show won 1st place in the 76 Fireworks Contest out of over 400 entries... check it out here: • Best Backyard Firework...
Stash, set-up, and show we put on July 4, 2018. Set off using Cobra system 18r2 and 15 18m modules, 5 36M modules, and 6 36 mini slats plus a Cobra Audio box. Fireworks supplied mostly by Spirit of 76 Fireworks. The show won 2nd place in the annual 4th of July video contest for 76 Fireworks.
Made possible by the financial contribution of several neighbors and friends and assistance of many volunteers to help set up. Finale starts at the 21:40 mark. Included 250 artillery shells, 90 200g cakes, 16 fast fused Color Star 500g cakes, 9 NOAB (whacky tobacky), 12 Humming snake 500g cakes, multiple fan slices, and more. The audio box was used to get music to 3 separate backyards 2 with 4500w amps and DJ speakers and a 3rd with QSC K12.2 active speakers using a Yamaha Yamaha MG10XU mixer.
STILL my favorite pyromusical of all time. STILL watch this one about 20 times a year. When I run out of ideas for my script, this is where I come. Simply Brilliant

Thanks! Lol, just a one show a year backyard guy. This was my first show that I really started using a lot of single shots. Cost was about $7000 for the fireworks. TX Pyro I am extremely disappointed that you got 2nd place in last years competition, I personally think there is some Biased judging going on even though I haven’t seen the first place show. I worked at Six Flags Fiesta Texas almost 15 years as a ride Technician but I was mainly the welder, fabricator, machinist for them and I built a lot of launch racks and various rigs for the Pyrotechnics and Laser show team and learned a lot from them. I have to say Sir your show was as Good if not Better than anything our crew ever did and they were professionals. Well our Christmas show with Mannheim Steamroller was absolutely Awesome!!
But my hats off to you Sir, you would be hired by any Pyrotechnics company in a heartbeat!! You should consider making this your full time Profession, you would never go hungry I promise you.

I would really like to see a more thorough behind the scenes video of the purchasing, storing, logistics, setup etc. I think your fans would enjoy it and it would help them appreciate everything it takes to do this.

Takes more than just technical know-how to pull off a show like this. Takes an ear for music as well as creativity. Only the best pyro's have all of these elements.

Phenomenally beautiful. Extremely well designed and executed. One of the best ever. (And this's from someone that has loved fireworks since I was 3 and my familIes have been shooting them for over eighty-years including one of the best private shows around...until I saw yours.)

I love those ghostsweep fan slices! They weren't in stock when I ordered but they're definitely on my list for next year. Spirit has some great stuff, and they're definitely giving Dominator some competition...
Rich Hagemeyer yeah probably best effect. Dominator has some great products too. Their slices are really really good. Used a lot for them in the first song. They have breaks which 76 does not. Dominators butterfly slice was huge and looked great

This looks absolutely amazing. I would imagine people paying you a pretty penny to out this show in their town.
I’m a pretty big pyro like the rest of us but would like info on firing systems and syncing with music maybe on a smaller scale at first but I need to take it to a new level. This display captures all of your senses you my brother should be very proud of yourself.
Clyde Fowler Thanks. I use a cobra firing system. I got the remote (18R2) and a couple firing modules and grew from there. Very easy to expand and older equipment is kept up to date with firmware. The cobra audio box sychs the music and effectS using show creator software. None of it is cheap but it is rock solid and cobra support is unmatched IMO

lol thanks. Probably pretty close. I dont keep track of the programming, product selection time stuff but add that to set up man hours I am sure its a big #. I do get lots of help for set up as you can see in the beginning. Check out my latest shows. 2020 is my favorite I think. 2021 would have been but smoke was really bad 😬

Ed - Fabulous show as always!! Every year you find a way to kick it up a notch. Loved the heavy use of fans. Really nice effects. Bet that took forever to wire up!!
Thanks.... yeah this one really was a PIA to set up both with the advance work in the garage and field set up day. The slices and sweeps are great products but all those effects chew up cues quick too. Everything gets more complicated and expensive lol.

5 Stars Ed, keep up the GOOD work. Your shows are beautiful. Did a great job getting with the music this year. You should think about doing a live feed if you don't already do it, just saying. I do a 1 family show but not to the size you do.Mine last about 9 minutes, It's called the Uncle E's fireworks extravaganza in Houma La. Been fooling around with making my one 4,5,6,7,& 8 inch mortar shells for my next show. Keep em coming Ed, from one PYRO nut to another your show was the bomb.

Outstanding! I don't know why anyone would ever do fireworks without music, and your show is Exhibit A for why you do. I've done a show to Panama, too--song was born to burn! Was that all 1.4 and 1.4Pro? If so, great example why you don't need 1.3 to be awesome. Although a little bit of Clown and Universal never hurts--haha. I'm Cobra-scripting a little show I do at a summer camp every Labor Day, and I needed a little inspiration, so thanks!

This is insane! Incredible display, this puts a huge chunk of the Big 1.3 professional displays to shame! If I had money like this and a couple cobras I’ll do something like this but my shows are fine as is (unless I win the lottery lol)

Ed Grillo Definitely. Great work! I know how hard it is just programing christmas lights to music when you want it to turn out well - the time you took to program this show had to be crazy, let alone all the setup and wiring. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah it was pretty time consuming. Im sure it the same with lights. Listen to the sound track a million times , adjust the cue to get it to hit just right, repeat. a lot. Did all that in Dec to be able to have my show programmed to be able to select product and buy with all the early order discounts.
