The ppl saying "wait til next year" are fools. This teams offense was historically bad. We say them make playoffs last year with decent qb play to good qb play. There is no position more valuable in sports. Also draft x in mid round is dumb. There are literally 2 starting qbs drafted round 2 or lower in the NFL since 2017. Hurts and Purdy and ppl are questioning if Purdy is any good, and now his arm looks shot. Cousins and Rodgers arent your answer. They might be cooked/retire. You're options are limited and you'll still be looking for qb the following year. Problem is you'll win enough games to keep you out of the #1 spot. So if you do like a qb, you'll have to trade your future all over again. All I'm saying is Washington had all them first rounders on the dline and it didnt win football games. Passing on qbs for vets and mid rounders is how this organization passed on Big Ben because they had Jeff Garcia, and then the following year got Trent Dilfer and passed on Aaron Rodgers. Point is, if you're picking high and you need a qb you take one or you'll be mediocre anyways. You cant "wait til next class" or you'll be waiting a long time. The top qbs in this league weren't even #1 picks. A good qb can instantly raise the level of play on both sides of the ball. I can make an argument that this team could have two MG's and still have 3-5 wins. He's playing at a DPOY level and maybe better than last year and you wouldnt even know it. If you dropped Drake Maye, Bo Nix on this roster you're probably middle of the road with an outside shot to make the playoffs. You land a Daniels level prospect and your talking home playoff game with this exact roster as it sits today. "this class isnt good" yeah we heard that in 2017. We heard Allen and Lamar were projects. Nobody thought much of Herbert. You can still pull of mocks that didnt have Mahomes as a first rounder. Hell we saw ppl mock the Broncos for drafting Nix. All I know is if they dont take a qb top of the draft, I'd love to know their solution for finding one and being competitive. If their plan is some analytics sign a vet and roll with that and maybe a mid rounder good luck with that. If they signed a vet to compliment the play style of the qb they take top of the draft, then you at least can buy the rookie some time before tossing them in while simultaneously having your qb of the future. Call it desperate if you want, but they dont have a qb and not doing it this way, by the time they think they're "ready" MG is 30+ and your roster is aged out. IMO its now or never. If they dont take one, might as well shop MG. And if they do that, I'm getting a new team because I'm not interested in another rebuild. Both Sanders and Ward played a lot of college ball. You wont out work those guys. We dont even know what Sanders can look like with a play action run game. He was at colorado and won 5 games his first year and 9 this year, guys that program hasnt won over 4 games a year in almost a decade. Did it in a pro style offense with no run game to lean on. He was forced to make all the checks. Ward same thing, made checks at the line and had full control of Miami's rpo scheme. Both are high level pre snap and post snap processors. Most qbs coming into the draft thats the knock on them. Burrow was the last one I can think of that was a calm cool elite processor pre snap. And the biggest thing for both is no moment is too big, and they have aura around them that gives off "I'm the man" vibes. Sanders is a Cam Newton type leader with swag and confidence, and Ward is a humble head down lead by example type. I think both are going to end up good pros despite what group think will tell you. And the difference of this class vs 2022 is stark. Not even close. Plus why those qbs fell is the league went crazy trading for vet qbs that year (wilson, watson, mayfield, etc) the FA class sucked and your only option was trade your future or draft a kid from Liberty or a 5th year qb who did nothing until his final year in the ACC. Also the draft a tackle crowd, cardinals drafted paris johnson for their team, have a tight end and wr and hows that working out for them. Titans took tackle back to back drafts and are picking #2. idc how talented your roster is you will be trash without a qb. Look at the jets. I can argue they have a better roster than the browns and they cant win with rodgers. idk what makes ppl think he can come to the browns and magically win.
You sir, know your shit. Here’s a like lmao. But the browns aren’t getting those players from the looks of it. Gotta “Build the nest before you hatch the egg” as they say. And if we get one of those guys, I fear with how dysfunctional our offense has been, there’s no telling if they can reach the bar of a starting level QB, let alone a star. (Hoping for Carter/Graham lowkey)
If kevin stays draft best player in the draft. If he gets fired then draft the qb. We know every new coach wants there own qb. This is why baker is gone
I’d love to see you guys look at a Defensive scenario if no QB is worth a top 3 pick. Myles Garret + Abdul Carter/ Mason Ghram or Denzel Ward + Travis Hunter
We talked about those guys on Thursdays episode. I think the offense is so bad, we gotta use that top pick on QB, OT or WR. Campbell, Banks, Tet. But we’ll be talking about what if the Browns take Carter or Hunter, Graham or even Johnson. Definitely some stud defensive players at the top this year.
@@TheDawgsPodcast I dont agree at all... Bolster our D-line... Especially considering Whats QBs are in our division and conference... You can have an explosive offense and not make the playoffs, but what you dont see is a great defense not make the playoffs...what we want to do is trade the 1-3 pick to someone wanting a QB for a no.1 pick next year, ..then move down to the 5th pick and grab grahm or Carter.. draft a rb, te, wr, qb, or o-line, (in any order) between rounds 2-4... Then next draft you van package those 2 firsts to move up and Grab a QB thar they really believe in ..
You guys really need to watch Quincy Carrier’s videos. I know you know him, but in my opinion, he has the best take of anyone. There isn’t a QB in this draft worth a top five pick. Also this is a deep draft for RB so it would be crazy to waste a top five pick on RB 12:53 . There are a couple of generational defensive lineman that if you took one of those and make your defense dominant again like 2023 we could win with just the average QB like in 2023. Then you get your franchise QB in 2026 where the class is much better.
QB is such a difficult position to evaluate it seems. Idc who they take. I just hope they get the right pieces that turn the franchise around in a better direction.
@@jlnks9415 rewatch the 2023 defense. JOK was a game changer the whole year. His pressure on the running game and qb's caused qb's to make huge mistakes. If you don't stop the run and put pressure on the qb your corners are pointless they can't cover for 10 seconds.
You just need to get a QB to make sure 4 doesn’t see the field. We don’t need to reach on these QB’s that haven’t showed that they are an Andrew Luck, Bonafied starter and star. U use ur top 3 picks on bonafied stars. Draft Abdul Carter, Mason Graham, or Ashton Jeanty and get urself a Jacoby Brissett or if u want to draft a QB, get a Dillon Gabriel and “build the nest before you hatch the egg”

this supposedly is a weak draft so with that in mind, I would try to trade as many picks that I have for this year for next years draft and grab a QB at that time. Last thing you want to do is waste a top pick and grab a QB just because you feel like you have to and you're stuck holding your nose deciding between subpar options.
Are you willing to back that up with money? If yes, that next time you post a comment without having any facts to back it up, please place a bet in Vegas first and start with how much you bet and details of this bet.
I don't believe Stefanski wanted a QB change when Baker was on the roster i also don't believe it was Stefanskis ideal who traded for Watson and those draft picks either he inherited it and now has to take it on the chin for the disaster it brought being that said how in the hell is AB/PD job safe, makes no sense at all
The Browns are not a "Quarterback away" so there's no reason to draft a QB in the 1st round, maybe not even the 2nd. Also the GM and HC have not solidified themselves, as they are on hotseats. Why draft a QB with the real possibility of the front office and coaching staff being completely thrown out and replaced with a front office and coaching group that didnt draft the QB? If the Browns draft a QB it cannot be a top 10 1st round quarterback. This regime will not be here because they havent produced anything and all that will happen is that a new regime will want their own players. The Browns should have cleaned house this year, but ownership is as bad as Woody Johnson and the Jets. The Jets need to trade Garrett for high picks over the next 2 seasons.
They need to pass on qb.get a number 1 next year in a better qb class.build the offensive line and defensive line and draft a rb.these qb isn't top 5 worthy!!
No, not in the first round at all. Just because we need a franchise QB doesn’t mean you just draft one, we tried that and it does not work. Take Abdul Carter period and move on to the 2nd round.

Everybody is talking about the Browns trading down or drafting Travis Hunter and then drafting a QB in 2026, but if the Browns don't fix the QB situation this off-season, then Andrew Berry and Kevin Stefanski are going to get fired. Period. They deserve to be fired TODAY. They don't deserve several more years to rebuild the organization that they themselves burned to the ground. If the Browns have a shot at drafting Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders, they'd better take that dart throw and see if they can hit on a franchise QB, because I think that all of the bridge QB options that everyone keeps telling me about will just end up getting everybody fired next year.
Facts! Idk how ppl dont see this. If they go the bridge route then they will be doing the same thing the following year due to the DW contract, and by some miracle if the vet works out for them in 25 they wont be in position for a qb. If he fails, they're fired. Its not rocket science here.

Much rather have Will Howard in rounds 2-3. Listed at 6’4” 236.
We need a 3rd stud LB to replace Hicks when he retires if JOK is done we need 2 LB's
Lbs are no longer valuable as they once were you can get a decent in mid rounds
Special players are always valuable
@BrazenBlack true. I love JOK but I trade him in a minute for a lock down CB or premier pass rusher.
