Hi Tor, I love your brush reviews! They are so informative. I know how you feel with over spending to get the free shipping. Hopefully, you’ll use the extra brushes.
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate it. And thank you for dropping by! 🤗 I have since, don’t get affected by “free” shipping now. Hahaha what’s important is I get what I need. 😉
How would you compare the performance of the MK-SK or MK-UM with the FO-1? Are they more or less similar or are they giving totally different looks for setting and finishing powder? Thanks
If you have oily skin but not sensitive, the FO series brushes will be a good choice. They are soft but have more strength. So they will pick up more colors or products from the pan esp. hard pressed formulas of powder or blushes or finishing powders. The brush head of the FO-1 blooms a little bit wider than the MK-SK. The FO series will help deliver more color + buffing power than the MK brushes, but not as strong as Goat hair brushes.
@@tortorre thank you so much for your expertise. No, I have dry mature skin even though not sensitive. Now I know how to finalize my order. Thank you again for your tremendous help!
"accessories" to your purchase! hahaha I died hearing that hahaha. I do find myself trapped in that kind of dilemma when I want to buy online, I will add-in items I have no intention of buying just to make the purchase worthwhile. I did not buy those little ones (eye brushes), do not find them useful. Being a mono-lid creature, I prefer the one and done shadow, hence I too purchased FO-5. I prefer large eye brushes. For smudging and lower lid lining I am using the Bisyodo short series, (BS-SL-01 Shadow Liner Brush). You are an artist so you may not like short handles, its about 9.3 cm full length. But for self application maybe you will like it. I have trouble seeing in close range, fortunately, I found a magnified mirrors to apply make up and long handles will be a hassle. Thanks for this review and the laughs!
Hahaha it was one of those days where in I was clumsier than usual! Hahaha the eye shadow brushes were an accessory to the crime of making my wallet lighter! 💸💸💸 hahaha The FO-5 is such a good buy. Love the size. I’m going to check that Bisyodo smudger brush as well! Thank you for telling me! And i don’t mind using smaller brushes as I can “anchor” them on my palms! And I love monilids by the way, it has so much space to play with annnd it’s best for smokey eye looks!😘😘😘
@@tortorre speaking of monolid and smokey eye look, is there such thing as smokey eye for daytime? whenever I am doing that my hubby will ask me if I am going to a party! But when I am using light colors like lilac all over the eye no matter how I packed it to look smokey I end up looking like Tilda Swinton!!!
@@myamoreno3666 then rock your smokey eye look every day! 😉 that’s the makeup treatment that is best for monolids because it gives your eye depth and definition. 😉 try sticking to matte neutrals if you want a day look - But where’s the fun in that? Unfortunately pastely colours will only make you eyes look “flatter”.
Yay! I’m glad to know you have yours! If I would get back ups it would be the Blush Brush and it’s angled counter part. Love how the work with matte blushes!
Hi Kay! I am actually considering getting it because I just want to complete the entire range. But 💸💸💸 hahaha I will assess first if I need a brush of that size.
thank you for this very thorough review, it has been so amazing and very helpful to select some shapes. I ordered the FO-3 & 4 from the series. Do you think I also need the 1 as well? I have a medium head size and have a lot of face realestate since I have no hair. I actually apply my makeup before wearing wigs (when I do). I think the new larger 9 powder brush being released might be a touch too big for me but it is hard to know without seeing photos or reviews. Thanks ~ Kim x
Hello Kim! Those are lovey brushes on the FO series. You have to think if the FO-1 will be essential to you and with the existing makeup products that you have. For sure you can use it with different types of products - powder or bronzer. Especially if they are hard pressed. If you like to apply powder all over your skin, then this brush should be good yo have. I think the FO-9 might just be a bit tad too big for me. But I am thinking about it. It’s not on top of my priority list though. 🤗
It’s actually a relief for me to have lost my hair. I have something less to worry about . 😉 But I do understand how important hair is to a person. As it can be a source of personal expression. But right now you can do that with wigs- which cuts down prep time in half! 😉 Here’s a 🙋, you are not alone in this journey. I hope you’ll be able to share in the future about your hair. In the mean time, donmt forget to wear sunscreen on it ok? I’m sure you have a lot of hats and stunning wigs. I have a few from Wigs By Vanity. It’s an Austrailian brand run by Vanity Faire and Courtney Act. 😘
Wow, we can clearly see that you have a crush on brushes! You are the brushes queen, Tor!
Hahahah! Noooo. Maybe princess! Sonia G is the brush queen, trust me! 😘
Thank you for such a detail review & showing such practical uses of each brush❣
My pleasure! ❤️
Thanks for this great review and overview... I have the FO 1, 3, 4 & 5... looking to add the rest including the new 9 to my collection.
I’m also thinking of adding the two new ones. Hahaha 💸💸💸

The FO-9 looks so tempting. I can’t wait to see it in real time to see how large it actually is. Will you be purchasing it?
