-"Why Popcap was good?" -*Looks inside* -*Yaps on about only three games, while skeeming over others like Zuma, Dynomite!, Big Money, AstroPop, Peggle, Feeding Frenzy*
I just said it, because the title is kinda misleading. If it was something like "PopCap's Best Games" or "PopCap's other great games" it would feel more accurate.
But popcap was the kne who added the microtransactions. Fun fact popcap even played with the idea of microtransactions around before ea bought them @pikminproduction
...about PvZ2, i feel like that game was actually great even with it having microtransactions and stuff (you can literally just ignore it and enjoy the game), at least up until they introduced leveling and removed/changed/broke some stuff making it basically unplayable at this point (it's a good thing reflourished exists). But yeah, i know you need a lot of context to understand popcap's reason for not making new pc games anymore and became what they are now, so i'll say this video is good enough (at least it's nice to see insaniquarium getting some love). ...and oh yeah, chuzzle 2 exists if you want to find the real popcap, just wanted to say it.
I have an old ass laptop that still has a lot of old popcap games it's got about 20+ games on it my favorites where PVZ feeding frenzy 1 and 2 Dynomite Insaniquarium Heavy weapon Peggle nights Zuma 2 To name a few I still have it to this day so I can play them whenever I want
From memory with the whale and pregnant fish it’s very difficult or almost impossible to lose to aliens because all fish have to die in order to get a game over
I guess this is a US thing? 😅 In the UK we were playing flash games on the BBC's website and playing now-forgotten pet simulators like 3D Petz and Creatures.
Insaniquarium *yes i think i spelt that wrong* and PvZ and 2. I liked them a lot. Pvz 2 i want to love more, but the micro-transactions ruins it a bit.
This might be childhood biased coming to play... But stinky the snale saved me way too much money!!! In the end levels you need SOOOO much money and that means 100 coins and different currency is falling at one time, in my testing stinky is the best by far!!! The jelly fish is actually the worst thing ever!!!!
In some ways sure, lots of plants and new worlds. But the majority of plants are really grindy to get or need real money which I absolutely hate. In pvz 1, you get every plant and there are mini games and puzzles. Whichever game you like more, go have fun dude!

@RobbysGameGarage aight

i played feeding frenzy!
Fun fact: Popcap was first founded under the name "Sexy Action Cool"
I was literally playing pvz yesterday and was thinking about how great popcap used to be
And this video just happens to show up
So Pop Cap joined the problem instead of being the solution
Luckily the OG devs left before the downfall so their reputations are safe
Technically EA bought popcap
@@pikminproduction Yeah but EA is the publisher, not PopCap. Popcap are the one who leads to their own downfall

Bookworm as a game deserved better treatment honestly, It's a masterpiece of it's own right and i wish more people played it...
Same. I wish it would've continued like PvZ.
The Adventures games have actually pretty good stories!

Fr these "old" popcap enjoyers are like oh pvz 2 is bad because of microtransactions!!! And then not even say anything else.
It's been 8 years and i still haven't finished bookworm adventures
DUDE S TIER VID AND ONLY 661 VIEWS?? CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED
As a kid I would sing along with the insaniquarium music as I played
Well let us coming back to that train shall we?
Chuzzle mentioned. I can relax
we were expecting Zuma
where is the ball shooting frog?
Blud I only showed the games I know
@@RobbysGameGarage so that would be an opinionated video than an expository of the reason behind PopCap being so good at their craft
I played way too much insaniquarium as a kid
Insaniquarium was my entire childhood
PopCap is my childhood!
I have an old ass laptop that still has a lot of old popcap games it's got about 20+ games on it my favorites where
PVZ
feeding frenzy 1 and 2
Dynomite
Insaniquarium
Heavy weapon
Peggle nights
Zuma 2

1:04 how do you have widescreen? I only every have the square resolution on mine
The window is stretched, I think they probably did it while editing to fit to standard widescreen for the video
YT keeps deleting my replies, but the mobile version of the game is remastered.
GUYS GUYS GUYS DID YOU KNOW ?????? POPCAP GOOOOOOD ???? EA BAAAAAD ???? NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE!!!!!
I guess this is a US thing? 😅
In the UK we were playing flash games on the BBC's website and playing now-forgotten pet simulators like 3D Petz and Creatures.
What about feeding frenzy 1 and 2? I played that game constantly. I believe pop cap was also the one that published that game
This was an awesome video, love your content. Subscribing for more bangers.
I miss old PopCap Games. They were so good at making games before they themselves became scummy.
this video made me laugh a lot, I only knew bejeweled, peggle and pvz until this video
Where do you download Bookworm Adventures?
There are some hacky ways to do it idk
Insaniquarium *yes i think i spelt that wrong* and PvZ and 2. I liked them a lot. Pvz 2 i want to love more, but the micro-transactions ruins it a bit.

YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BEAT PREDATORY GAMING NOT JOIN THEM!!
Popcap: It's just business and I love money
PvZ 2 was better than the first
Disagree

Heresy

Bro is seven years old
They had potential until EA 😢😢😢
Popcap ruined themselves, not ea. Ea is just the publisher.
