It’s understandable, since both nagi and sokaku’s sister were on opposite sides of a war that happened recently in the lore. But there was more to the story than meets the eye.
well nagi is the reason that her sis die(kill herself to protect her people and soukaku, trusting on nagi) so soukaku's nightmare is true in a way (and she deserves headpats and food...lots of food)
Yanagi didn’t personally do it. Sokaku’s sister sacrificed herself to bring peace between the Oni and humans, during the war between them. If it wasn’t for Yanagi, Sokaku and what was left of the Onis would have been wiped out during the war.
ZZZ really toes that post apocalyptic dystopia line in an interesting way. Most of the cast is so upbeat in contrast to the horrors, but they always loom well within sight.
@@viviblue7277 they make it sound like the disasters happened a lifetime or two ago and are simply used to it by now. It's almost got the mood of a rimworld playthrough, some stuff is super fucked, some stuff is pure comedy, everything is just "life" for the chars involved.
I think the more cannon like where Wise going out around and doing stuff (like hanging out with Agents) while Belle does Proxy things. If you think about it. It makes more sense that way.
@tsuaririndoku of course it's interchangeable. Both do what the other can. Certain interactions I see Belle fit more and others Wise. But I'd say Wise is the more introverted one.
I like to think that in a true adaptation of this game via comic, show, or movie we get to see them both in action as the main. A couple character lines seem to imply that as Phaethon they would switch who was leading the way. This is extremely evident with how in Belle’s gameplay, you will reach a part where Wise will take over, as well as how we know that they BOTH have the ability of Sensory Sync. I kinda want to see that be brought to life with the story in an adaptation because I think right now for user friendliness, it’s easier to manage the character you pick being the main. I am however willing to bet that not only will that wish not come to fruition, it will be proven extremely wrong. 🤷
The way Wise comforts her was so sweet, after The Nightmare that Soukaku had about Yanagi killing her Big Sister, was indeed Big Brother Moments there and Soukaku Is his Little Sister too (besides Belle), so that's why he was giving The Advice like what Big Bro would actually do 😍🥲...
Depends on how much she has grown up by that point and how she finds out. Hearing from Yanagi and the other Oni survivors about how her older sister sacrificed herself to end the war will hit differently then just getting told "Yanagi cut off your sisters head and took you"
I think Yanagi and Soukaku should have a thorough talk about what happened on that night. Soukaku should have a better understanding of what happened, of how her sister saved Yanagi at the cost of her own life. I know she is a kid, but a kid who doesn't know anything is going to have large missing pieces filled with wild and misleading imagination and interpretation. As seen with Soukaku's nightmare, having a lot of symbolism relating to the truth
Yall really acting like soukaku couldn't figure out so easily. When she hugged yanagi at the end of the trailer and saying "you smell like big sis" although she was a baby. She knew. Thats all the clarity you need to know that she knew the truth
She knew but she also probably forgot. When kids grow up, they tend to forget things when they were younger. The death of her sis probably traumatized her that she still remembered it only as a nightmare

Must be really hard for one to discover the person who cares about you a lot killed someone else dear to you. Hopefully, Yanagi and Soukaku can talk it out one day. Soukaku's Big Sister trusts and believe's in the person Yanagi is, which is why Yanagi had the honor and responsibility to mercy-kill Soukaku's Big Sis to spare her from her weak and sickly form and to help bring the vision for the future they shared together.
I don't think she has one considering she's an oni but maybe she doesn't have one because her friend thing wasn't available before so maybe they gave her one now

This broke my heart, because we know from lore that Nagi essentially did what Soukaku's nightmare was about. Soukaku deserves hugs.

The fact that she knows but still loves Nagi like family is touching
For some reason, playing as Wise feels more accurate because he's an older sibling who has experience with handling younger sibling situations
I think the more cannon like where Wise going out around and doing stuff (like hanging out with Agents) while Belle does Proxy things. If you think about it. It makes more sense that way.

I think as the proxy Belle fits more into that role, and Wise being the protective sibling makes more sense since he’s the older and mature one

her real big sis was already in dying state, yanagi just end her suffering and at the same time use her death to end the conflict with the oni.

Yanagi ability apparently electricity based,so it's probably come from the blood (Japanese thunder diety Raijin is depicted as Oni)
