I’m most definitely on both their teams. I get why Simon broke up with Wilhelm and think he did the right thing. I wish Wille had come out in his speech but I understand why he didn’t. And he shouldn’t have been in the position of either coming out or denying the person he loves.
The one person whose side I was not on at the end of season one was August’s. And Sara’s so I guess that’s two people. And I strongly felt there was nothing either of them could have done to come back. I’m not telling you whether season two changed that for me.
I hope you start season two soon. It’s sooo good. And just as emotionally charged as season one.

I love how you guys can see from Simon perspective, a lot of people judge him and take Wilhelm side in that situatuion, they're both victims but Wille promissed to be on Simon side then completely abandoned him to deal with everything alone, and expected him to accepct to be a secret, I can understand them both, but Simon was right in setting bounderies and chosing self respect over what he feels for Wilhlem
Its interesting, because I almost feel the opposite. Most people that I see understands Simons perspective and I feel like Wilhelms is being played down and judged. He has grown up with the view that everything he does affects someone else. Even his brother, that loved him more than anyone, told him that he needed to be better at playing "the part". So here he is, a sixteen year old kid, having to choose between what he always known and something that is still very new and scary for him. Simon did the right thing, and nobody should judge him for taking a step back, but I don't think we have any right to judge Wilhelm either. Because lets face it, we will never be put in a situation like his. The legacy of an entire country is on his shoulders and the people that he suppose to trust, his family, has shown thats the only thing that matters. Not his feelings. Not his privacy or rights. The only thing that matters is to upphold this picture of a perfect royalty.
we really respected Simon's choice to set boundaries and we understand how Willhelm is in a really difficult position with his royal status. We hope for the best for both of them but mostly hope they can somehow be together 😬

thtas interesting, on the first season reactions and reviews i saw more people sympathize with simon, and a lot of them not trying to understand willhelm’s point of view. but when season 2 came out i saw a lot of people do the opposite, not even trying to understand simon’s pov
The head writer and creator of the series Lisa Ambjörn has made it clear that she wanted to write the Wille and Simon story in a way that you can't pick sides.
The actors of Wille and Simon said in an intervew that they don't think Wille could have done anything differently. Due to Simon's and Wilhelm's completely different background and experiences they have completely different views on the situation and August effectively cut their time too short to get to know each other well enough to be able to see the other's perspective. They were literally dating for one week when the tape was leaked and Wille was supposed to make a huge decision for his family and a whole political system based on feelings that were still so new to him, considering him coming out would make him the first openly queer Crown Prince in any monarchy ever. And he struggles with a severe untreated anxiety disorder that Simon doesn't even know about. And Wille actually did exactly what he promised Simon he would do, he told his mother that be wanted to be with Simon and didn't want to make any statement, but she guilt tripped him into it by using his survivors' guilt and his brother's legacy.

It's so crazy how when I first watched season 1, I was just so in love with (some) the characters and the pacing/plot and ACTING honey. There is something about everything feeling so grounded in reality with Young Royals that I think really pulls a lot of people in. Also, I don't know ANYONE who f*cks with August. We all hate August over here haha

P.S. Speaking of bad life choices, that whole leaked video from August wouldn't have happened if Wille had his freaking curtains closed (and I checked -- THERE ARE CURTAINS THERE TO CLOSE). Seriously, I can't imagine having a first floor window and NOT always having my curtains closed -- especially if I'm naked or whatever. But maybe that's just me LOL

Season 2 is a rollercoaster but it was all so worth it
The writing in this show is genius. You can't take any sides, because they are right for themselves. Wilhelm is just 16 years old and have so much pressure, his brother just died and he is all alone. No friends, nothing. On top of that he have anxiety and panic attacks. This boy's life is falling apart. And all he knows is that the Royal family hides things. He grow up with that, this is the only thing that is known to him. His title is the problem, not the sexuality. He is The Crown Prince and that's how it is to him, he can't change anything and in his head he dosen't even have a choice. Because never ever in his life someone let him to. He is used to people telling him what to do (even going to the school was forced to him). He goes to the person who is supposed to help him *his mother* and she manipulates him. She even used his brother's dead for that. On top of that the relationship and the feelings were new to him, something he's not used to. And everyone in the royal court hides their relationships. That's how it was, how it is and how it's going to be. It's sad, but realistic.

I'm not on anyone's side to be honest. I understand Wille, and I understand Simon. I think it's a cheaty situation. The one thing I have against Wille is that he told Simon we would say the truth and backed out. So that's not a good look. But him being the crown prince... I can understand it still. Because he as the pressure of his family added to the rest. So... I'm on team Simon and Wille XDD

I haven't watched any of your other/newer videos so can't tell if you all ready done any changes - but, I highly recommend you to dubbel check the audio balance between your own microphones and the show. In this video I had to chose between not hearing anything of the show in order to not lose my hearing by your loud but lovely reactions, or to hear what they were saying (yes, I speak Swedish) / other sounds in the show but getting deaf by your outburst and small talk. Or, as I did most of the time - changing the volym each and every second.
