    Ky born and raised.... live currently in an area, i wouldn't call it a town (2300 pop.) . Absolutely love it. No neighbors, room to roam, can be in a big city in an hour if need be. I love all the seasons. Winters are not too cold usually, summer is not too hot usually. All the seasons in between are glorious. If you don't enjoy nature, you will. You can grow your own food. Meet people from all walks of life. But we are all family. Ready to help anyone in need. Welcome to Kentucky!

    My hubby & I were native born Californians, but left as we retired to see the US (12 years in our motorhome)
    When we started we knew that our settled down home would be some other state - it took us 12 years to finally make out to Kentucky. But once we arrived, we knew this was home for us. ❤ No regrets of stopping in western Kentucky and we still travel around to different places in surrounding states! We will never return to CA and love Kentucky ❤❤❤❤

    I know I'm a week late ( as usual ) in watching another video, but want to tell you that I thought this was a very informative video, and I appreciate you having taken the time out to interview a few people on the subject matter at hand. What these people said pretty much sealed the deal for my reasons of wanting to move to Kentucky: live in the country, but city life nearby, friendly hometown feel, and above all, affordability. Thanks again!

    Interesting to hear about blueberry farms there? Is it common to grow berries there?

    • @centralkentuckyliving
      @centralkentuckyliving  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      There are a few, yes. Blueberries are delicate but can be grown just fine in KY ☺️

    Would you do a video about state parks? Maybe visit Cumberland then say Nolin Or KY lake too. Great time with fall colors coming in. 😊

      Possibly, yes. We’ll note that and see how it fits into our queue of topics for sure ☺️

    does the whole state get tornados? great interviews with locals! we moved from ca to north las vegas nevada 8 mos ago. All our family is still in ca. Our hearts were and still are broken moving out of state and away from them for the first time. Dont know if I plan to stay here. I thought Kentucky might be cheaper to live there but I dont know. Good place for empty nesters on a budget?

    • @centralkentuckyliving
      @centralkentuckyliving  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes to all of that. Tornados possible anywhere, any time of year, and yes great place to settle down somewhat inexpensively (compared to our West for sure!)

      @@centralkentuckyliving I read that Kentucky gets the least amount of tornados and some areas are more prone than others. Thank you for your response! I love how low the property taxes are in some parts of your state. How about pensions? How much do they tax pensions there? if you know

      So sorry, wish we could answer all your questions about the State of KY, but we cannot. You’ll have to do some more research with most information outside of what we can provide in our videos or help our clients with in real estate. Thanks for understanding ☺️

      @@chalesgolding5314 Gavin Newsom or Kathy Hochul vs Andy Beshear. If you don't see the difference, I invite you to look again. Andy Beshear is essentially a classical Liberal. Newsom and Hochul are...not. Many of those who support (and even those who just tolerate) Beshear, would pack up and leave if Hochul or Newsom took the reins in Kentucky.
      Also, it behooves me to point out that two of the key issues that divide the Left from the Right are abortion and guns. Kentucky is decidedly _very_ right-leaning on both. Moreso, in fact, than most of the Country.

    Native of California here. Grew up in Texas and Colorado. We saw a huge influx of Californians in CO in the 90’s and the place has never been the same (nowhere near better). I’ve been in KY over 30 years now. We welcome all but don’t bring your liberal ideology with you or else another generation will ruin another great state.
