I just watched the last scene and I’m freakin heartbroken and I’m trying to distract myself by watching her interviews.
so true oh my god. i heaved sobs after watching that last scene. I couldn't even control what my body was doing,

You get peace when you realize why she did that. Overcoming boos loss, and finally moving on. The audience was a coping mechanism for the lack of friends. It’s like watching a friend go. Ps also why it’s uber strange when the priest notices you/the camera lol.

That whole bit she did with 'I find writing really hard and painful'.... and then ... "I find acting really hard and painful...' was total proof at how funny and brilliant she is off the cuff. It was perfect.

But it didn't go well with the dumb audience ,they laughed at the first one and then they were like on mute
Fleabag season 1 is already great, but season 2 just got even better. She really deserved every award.

Man the ending of Fleabag broke me.. :'( related to the show, esp the ending too hard.. cried for hours after, rewinding it again and again.. she deserves all awards and happiness and success in the world for doing this for us ♡

I've watched both seasons of "Fleabag" twice. They zoomed by too quickly. I've grown quite attached to watching Fleabag's (not in my opinion) hilarious, sometimes naughty antics, greatly anticipating outrageous/ridiculous/poignant results. What a show! I literally laugh out loud at least once every episode. The Emmys were much deserved.
Tonight I recommended the show to a friend who agreed to watch it. As I was driving home, I saw a fox for the first time in my life as it trotted across the street. Goodness, I was so tickled, I could not stop laughing!

Just started watching fleabag today but i love killing eve since the first season. Didn't know until recently that she starred in fleabag LOL
She IS fleabag.... Everything... The initial idea, the writings and acting.... Her sister was behind the music.... It's her baby!

But why is that important? In matters of taste, what's wrong with not getting something? I don't 'get' Sex in the City, modern r&b or the films of Tarantino. It's not a malfunction on my part and only insecurity would necessitate someone insisting that it is. Does it make you feel better to think the only reason someone doesn't like it is that they don't 'get it'? I'm not trying to pick a fight but there really is no reason (other than insecurity) to worry about whether someone likes a show/book/piece of music that you like.

However, my original point was that it is enough that an individual appreciates a piece of art, music, whatever it may be. It's enough that one sees something worthwhile in a piece of work - the urge to castigate others for not 'getting it' is borne of insecurity and is wholly unhelpful and unnecessary. A little bit of love inwards negates the need to attack outwards, in my opinion.

So I just finished Fleabag and no season 3 😭 it was so good! Loved it!
One of the best shows ever. Period.

it's a TALK show... format's a bit different to something like 60 minutes where it's straight up question and answer, this type of thing is more conversational

I tried to like this show. I did but the character is so deplorable and unlikeable. I could never really care for the character.
I completely understand and I love the show, but the other characters are more likeable and I think she gets better and more supportive as well as facing her problems, so try and give it a go, when you fall in love with it it's great!

She is a brilliant comedic genius but she didn't deserve the emmy for leading actress. Come on. It was Julia's year.
For acting, Julia is the true Queen and King. Even a simple expression was comedic genius with Julia Louis Dreyfus
I thought the same. I love her and the show (and thought they COMPLETELY deserved the comedy writing and comedy series wins), but for the leading lady, I thought Julia was better.

@@eljefe6161 For the last twenty years JB has been off point on mysognistic and unrealistic scripts for the female roles... compared to Bourne etc.... which is more real ......PWB has been brought in to adresss 21st century dialogue for real women in real characters... JB producers recognise this defect..... And I'm sure Fleming would love the fact PWB is onboard....

@@johnricercato740I'm not sure I have the space to explain how the class system works to you, but look at her school (fee paying) then RADA (expensive).
Then there is fleabag itself which she was able to do because she could afford to, you obviously have no concept of how expensive taking a play to Edinburgh is, the opportunities she has had are just not there for working class writers...
So i finally watched Fleabag and please don't hate on me for this but IMHO... its so overrated. I got to the end and I was like "is that it?! Thats what the fuss was all about?!"

Uh, Fleabag is one of most toxic and poorly constructed shows I have ever seen. Everything British people do gets so overrated, especially by themselves, but also by people in this country as well.

Among many Americans, especially coastal liberals (the people that tend to inhabit Hollywood) there still exists a weird anglophilia and an inherent belief that the English and other Europeans are still our cultural superiors (ironic, since they almost nonstop trash on every aspect of our culture). I cannot help but believe this is why this average-at-best series is being so wholly embraced. There is not a single critic saying a bad word about it. It's bizarre.
