Jagadodharana… aadisidalu Yashoda… Saint-composer Purandara Dasa composed this song in the Aprameya temple at Malur, a village on the Bangalore-Mysore Highway, a few kilometres from Channapatna.
Yeah it's a beautiful temple with a Krishna crawling and butter in his hands.. Purandara dasaru was so mesmerized with this beautiful Krishna he composed this song on the spot.. The local people love this Krishna and offer him toys made of wood, especially newly married couple.. That's how Channapatna became famous for toys..

Yes, by tradition and projecting our aspirations, we wish that compositions were spontaneous and, on the go, but who knows. We do know that Jagododharana was composed in Malur town near Mandya, so maybe some were composed spontaneously. Because they were written down, perhaps there was some organizational arrangements that we are not aware of.
