For many of you who do not live in Los Angeles, here's an accurate description of the entire situation from someone who lived in Los Angeles for the past 40 years: Our current mayor is a joke. This is not a political statement, it's a statement effect. Our district attorney is spineless and unworthy of the honorable position bestowed upon him. The truth is every angelino is guilty of complacency. We got the government we deserve.

Last night I was sitting in my car going through some text messages in the parking lot of a Ralph’s on 6th and Vermont in Los Angeles,
when out of nowhere I hear screaming coming from behind me, at first I thought it was just people having a good time, but man was I wrong. I looked back to see who it was and I saw a man holding a backpack filled with stuff gripping it with both hands on his stomach saying “I put it back!” following him was a security guard who kept telling him “Open up the back pack, I want to see” the guy with the backpack obviously threatened the security guard and told him “If you get close to me again, I’m going to fuck you up” yelling at the top of his lung’s.
I frequent this Ralph’s a lot and that night was the first night I had seen this security guard who was Caucasian, usually there’s an African American security guard there. Anyways, the security guard did not budge and kept insisting that he showed him the inside of his bag, they went to the back of the store where the truck driver’s deliver the product for the store and since there was no where else to go at that point I started hearing very loud scuffle going on, out nowhere I see the guy crawling underneath the trailer and right behind him I see the security guard grabbing onto the backpack as the guy tries to make a run for it, at this time the cop’s are pulling up and guess what the good ol Los Angeles police officer’s decide to do?…they yell and scream at the security guard to let him go and that it is not worth it!
The security guard tells them he is an off duty police officer and that he witnessed this man steal everything he had inside his backpack. The guy uses this opportunity to get on his electric scooter and take’s off yelling, “Let me go, motherfucker…I didn’t do anything!” The security guard then shows them a video of him stealing everything and then and only then do the cop’s want to act as if they have a job to do and ask’s the security guard, “which way did he go, did you see?” California is a heaven for criminal’s cop’s will literally look the other way.
