    CT 's are piece of art machines that engineers made. As an engineering student, i researched about the bowtie filter and even for this small peace they did tremendously deep engineering r&d effort behind that.

      Thanks Highway Gamer, agreed all parts are engineered well to be stable, robust and for most help with image quality.

    What makes the scanning ring spin? There is no central axis, so where is the force (motors) to make it spin this fast?

    • @HowRadiologyWorks
      @HowRadiologyWorks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In standard designs a motor mounted to the stationary side is hooked to the rotating side of the gantry by a timing belt

      Some units have a linear motor, the whole spinning part is actually the motor. Also some units transfer the collected data from the das to the stationary part of the gantry with leds instead of slip rings.

      It's done with the help of slip ring technology ❤😊

    Colon or large intestine ulcers can be seen in ct scan?

      litfl.com/abdominal-ct-peptic-ulcer-disease/ , the ulcers can be indirectly visualized and it is good for looking for perforation

    good vid. weird, but good. I can't decide whether its good in a weird way or weird in a good way.

    it would have been great to actually see the components inside without all text layovers blocking it. Maybe next time, just let us peer and ogle it's guts

    "...What we call..." and "...what's called..."? Those are the official terms are they not? So why all this "what we call..."? Just use the terms directly!
