I’m a Japanese golfer from Tokyo. I’m glad you guys took the time to film this beautiful documentary. It’s sad to see the ZOZO championship go but I hope the PGA tour comes back to Japan sometime!
Irrespective of subject matter, this is an absolute masterpiece of a video. Cinematography, editing, blend of narrative, content and eye candy, sound design, pacing… just exquisite. Bravo.
This feels very "Adventures in Golf" to me and in the best way possible. I love that series and the behind the scenes look at golf around the world. The courses, the culture and the people who make it all happen.
The final scene where you speak about picking up the leaf is a testament that you get it....what it's all about....what Japan stands for....the culture, respect, and beauty that the country and the people has to offer. I applaud everything that has been out together here, and I hope more content like this will be created for more people to benefit from.
you guys set the bar high for yourselves on this one.... well done. Please keep this up. It's exactly the exposure the PGA TOUR needs for the changing nature of the game in these modern times. Progressive, but traditional.
I am a Japanese golfer who started during pandemic. This video is a great introduction of Japanese golf culture. Among Japanese golfers, etiquette and respect are the most important part of golf in my opinion. I love the last words in this video.
I'm an avid golfer, passionate about the sport. Japan's golf culture draws me back annually. Your showcase of Japan's golf community is fantastic! You've beautifully highlighted the country's unique blend of tradition, respect, discipline and harmony with nature. Japan's attention to detail, even in waste management, is inspiring. The world can learn valuable lessons from Japan's dedication to preserving its culture and environment. Japan warmly welcomes visitors but requests respect for its values and traditions.😊
That last scene… never thought a golf video could move me to tears but it did. Every trip to Japan leave me with thought-provoking epiphanies that move me in such big ways.
If you haven't already, you should check out the series "Adventures in Golf" from Erik Anders Lang and the Random Golf Club. It's like this and is fantastic!
Mr. Guillot, this video is outstanding. You’ve captured not just the moments of your trip, but also conveyed the deeper meanings behind them. My only issue is that I wasn’t invited!
Can't believe how much I love this piece of film. Edited incredibly well, lovely cinematography, clear, informative and calming narration. Absolutely adore this - honestly, just well done to everyone involved.
Best film on golf I have seen on You Tube or any other media outlets for a very long time . Your description of the lady picking the leaf up of the astro turf and your emotion shown was just beautiful. Well done on a great documentary and it's one of my dreams to retire to Japan and this short film has only strengthened my thoughts of a great country.
I was luckily able to play narashino just a couple of weeks before the Zozo Championship. It was my first time playing golf in Japan and it was a bit of a culture shock compared to playing golf in Canada. Such an experience! Cant wait to play golf in Japan again!
Great video. Japanese culture really is the best. There's a lot to admire from them. I really wish people over here in North America would learn from this, respect.
Things like mandatory lunch and needing to buy everyone drinks for a hole in one needs to change. They say it's not for just businessman anymore but only showcase courses seemingly meant for the upper class.

❤
there's still next year right?
@@nicoyap14 Unfortunately no. It is 5 years contract to host Zozo champ in Japan and this was the last year.
Resources for ZOZO not being part of FedEx Fall in 2025?

quite right

I really liked the analogy the Sushi chef made about learning by watching being similar to golf.

Can we have Manors shoot more content for the PGA? This was shot and presented so well, with much respect to the local golf culture.

Does anyone know the make and model of the black golf shoes shown during hyper golf segment?
Can I get the golf package? Amazing!
The background music in this is so loud. Felt like I was watching a rave not a golf video.
"Sorry EAL we'll take it from here"
