nearly 50 years ago. Who would still be alive in 2022 ? RIP all the musicians and singers that brought the Ray Conniffsound. A way of sound we don't hear now anymore.
Man oh man I am literally holding my tears back. My dad rest his soul made it back home from Vietnam. He took his own life at the age of 38 in 1983, my mother said he was not the same after the war. But this song reminds me if him and his Marine buddies and the pictures I use to gaze at of them in Korea and Germany and all over the world and even in war he and his "brothers" had smiles 😃 and were young and full of life. God bless all you veterans 🙏 and this song brings us to such a great place when people treated people like human beings and would lend a helping hand to friends and brought new neighbors pies 🥧 and cakes 🎂 and every Sunday would be a big dinner 🍽 with the family and all the neighborhood there. Yes even being born in 76' I was able to experience the tail end that era.

O decorrer dos anos faz os hábitos e gostos mudarem, tudo tem a sua época, mas o bom gosto é uma qualidade individual. Assim, como muitas coisas melhoram outras podem piorar. Os jovens atuais parecem que não são dotados da sensibilidade capaz de fazê - los apreciar as belas canções como as do passado. Ainda bem que existe o youtube, capaz de nos fazer viajar pelo tempo ouvindo as belas canções do passado.

I was born 1960 and started listening to songs on the radio in 1964.I always liked Conniff and the bubblegum rock of the 1960's, also Motown songs.It all reminds me of a simple, joyful childhood and teen life.

Almost the same story here. My dad was a big fan of Ray Coniff back in our country, and we also didn’t speak a single word of English. And even our Christmas were ruled by this guys. I’m 49 now and this music bring the most beautiful memories ever of my childhood!

Ray Coniff left a deep memory in my country I was a teen ager at "Our Little Brothers and Sisters" an orphanage founded by Father William Brice Wasson" We kids loved listening to his astounding music, he marked the world music with his unique orchestra and rhythm.
I was a preteen didn’t speak a word in English heard this song on radio, fell in love with the melody, and started to pay attention to pop music. 50 years later, I still love this song and truly appreciate it.
Almost the same story here. My dad was a big fan of Ray Coniff back in our country, and we also didn’t speak a single word of English. And even our Christmas were ruled by this guys. I’m 49 now and this music bring the most beautiful memories ever of my childhood!
