On August 10th of 2006, Kim HeeChul was involved in a car accident on his way back to Seoul after attending Lee DongHae’s fathers funeral. Because of the accident, Kim HeeChul was unable to dance, more likely dance on stage with his members due to the endless pain. His right leg and ankle was crushed in seven places. Kim HeeChul had metal rods in his legs that gave him pain through his legs. Since then, he always have small parts in their songs, he even want to quit SuJu back then, but the members encourage him to stay and they help him by giving him simple choreography and he mostly participate at the end of their songs. He decided not to perform on music shows for the group’s latest comeback.
Lo Siento has been my jam recently...it’s been on repeat a lot lately! SUJU never disappoints...great song and it’s catchy af💕 Love that they got Jiwoo and Somin to do Leslie’s parts in the live stages...I’ve missed them! I do wish Heechul was in the live stage tho😔

Heechul wasn't dancing or performing live because of a car accident that happened in 2006, a metal rod was put in his leg so the bone could heal but he kept dancing and putting pressure on his leg so the rod dent and it really hurts him whenever he dances to much now, and the rod cant be taken out and the leg is not able to heal fully anymore, so sadly.. he will never be able to dance with his partners anymore. Maybe a very small and short part like in black suit, but never the whole song again.

there will always be a part of me that's mad abt how heechul had to perform when he was supposed to be recovering all those years ago. injuries that extreme can be nasty and remind you from time to time (especially when it gets cold or you're sick) with pain but since heechul never really had the time to recover properly, his case is more extreme. it's just so fucking upsetting.
