Well, I guess I have to whip this one out again. My mother was 43 the year I was born (although she adopted me); Lucille Ball was 43 when Desi jr was born. Rose Kennedy was 43 when Teddy was born.

43 isn't even old. Not by a long shot. I didn't even have any wrinkles at all until I got into my mid to late 50s. Now, I'm in my late 60s, and I am not THAT old, even now.

I had a conversation with someone where they were freaking out at me because I was older (on the angry bird site...erm...Twitter. hush, I have good people I talk to there. It balances out the jerks) I smh because the one thing you can't escape is aging🙄

So true, i am almost 43 and no wrinkles, not even a white hair. Plus this days many people prefer to wait having kids so they can have a stable home/job and also we all get old some nicer some a bit less, but being a good person is more important than age.

Grandfather would have gone in his 90’s. And all this hassle for 4-5 year old children. Hate to see what happens when the kids get older and the children get meaner.

My sons are going to be 33 and 32 this year. But even when they were teens i'd hear " hey mom, did you have xyz when you were young?"
My answer, " yes, when dinosaurs walked the face of this earth, we had that too" i'll be 55 later this year. 😂

This makes me laugh. Karma comes back hard. When I was 19 someone said they were 33 and I went God are you old. And the girl next to me said you're so rude. And the person said no she's not at 19 I thought 33 was old too. Well it's 68 and being teased for being old over the years 33 doesn't look old haha. Now my grandkids are teasing me and what I tell them is go ahead and laugh but when you're my age and you have someone here at your age doing it don't get mad cuz you did it first. I can honestly say I never have gotten mad because I did it first.

Right! I'm 48 with a 6 yr old daughter. I'm more active with her school activities than the 20 and 30 yr old moms. AND, I own and run my own business that I center around my daughter and her needs. I'm grateful for being an older mom. I can prioritize her instead of a "job".

I have three letters for the evil wench - CPS. Probably no grounds for taking actions against mom or son but those letters definitely scare some parents. And I’ve seem numerous investigations into some people who I thought were good parents. My opinion could be wrong though.
However, I grew up in a violent household before CPS. I would have welcomed a visit from them and I would have called them myself. I can make snide, sarcastic comments about the abuse I suffered at my father’s hands. It’s the inner acceptance I’ve reached with long hours of intense counseling. But I draw a line when it’s other kids who need help. My adopted son was removed from his home for several months. I have the utmost respect for his birth parents. I like to think I helped his birth dad understand why it all happened because from the outside it looked like abuse. It wasn’t. His birth parents never abused him. The story of how my adopted son entered into our care was never about abuse. I’m glad children have CPS to turn to if they need it. I had absolutely no one to turn to. I even had a suicide attempt when I was very young. I was 6 or 7. I failed. I barely remember the attempt but I do remember everything that drove me to it. What kid is so miserable at that age to consider killing themselves? I was to young to understand suicide but I understood it was a way to run away or escape. Kids in stories like this need CPS to enter for their protection. Problem is, CPS can’t help, and that boy will suffer consequences later in life.
