      No, his secret is that he is able to throw the balls 2/10th or 3/10th of a second quicker than other QB, which means defenders are 2 or 3 yards further away from his intended receivers.

      I agree. But everyone overlooks that he has had a top extremely disciplined and well-coached O line and even better defense. There was that Superbowl that the defense won the game by holding one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL to 3 points, and Brady didn't play well. Even the best have off days and need a little help from their friends. People always give the QB all the credit and forget the D. Pundits love flash over substance and have short attention spans and memories. ==Jimmie Johnson said that the press gave the triplets (Aikman, E. Smith, and Irvin) all the credit for the Superbowl successes, but each of those wins Dallas had the No. 1 defense in the NFL, and that Aikman owed his success to the Oline and the incredible defense. Only Charles Haley was recognized for his greatness out of all those pro bowl defenders.

    Great comments. Very astute and inciteful. It's been a real pleasure watching TB12 over the last twenty years. My favorite game was the comeback over the Falcons. There wasn't anyone who thought the Patriots could win after half-time. No one had ever come back from a deficit like that in the Super Bowl. I saw the footage of Brady walking down the bench saying to his teammates, "We have to play Harder, tougher, faster, Everything!" It was a team win but he anchored the belief it could be done. Greatest leader of all time as far as QB's go. When it had to be done, he did it in that game. I hope he plays as long as he wants to. He deserves it. I'm glad I lived to see the best in action. Blessings, Donny

    What Arian's said is both Humble and Truthful. Coaches can come and go. And, they do. Players will give coaches their due respect because of their positions and roles in the organization. That said, when a PLAYER, especially a QB with Nine SB's and SIX RINGS, walks into the locker room that is a COMPLETELY different thing altogether. Arian and his coaching team, to their absolute credit understood this and honored this. This shows those coaches to be coaches of an awareness that is highly commendable and they should be recognized for this. Above and beyond this fact the defensive scheme was epic. The DC is a man that is to be commended for learning the lessons of the early season shellackings and making effective adjustments. Someone said, he earned half the MVP Trophy. I say, he earned 40%. Because it is in fact Brady's presence and winning attitude that transformed the team and not just the defense. Brady made that team BELIEVERS. The coaching staff could never have done so. And, again, to their credit, they said so.

      Arians really masterminded this. Obviously, having Tom Brady is a no-brainer- but he really, truly believed that the missing ingredient in the recipe of the Bucs was a winner. Clearly there’s no bigger winner than Tom Brady (ever) so he looks at TB12 in the eyes and said: YOU WILL WIN ANOTHER ONE HERE. And Tom believed him- and now here comes this incredible winning and disciplined culture, as well as the Gronks to the ABs to the Uncle Lennys... and bam, Super Bowl! Props to BA for knowing what the team needed; props to TB12 for being the goat of all goats!

      Speaking of record(s), Brady owns a mind-blowing 58 post-season and Superbowl records. The #2 and #3 quarterbacks who own the most PS/SB records: Peyton Manning and Joe Montana w/ 4 each lol. Sometimes I don't think a good number of people realize just HOW consistently dominant Brady has been. The GOAT quarterback discussion is officially laughable now.
      Scarier still is I don't think he's done winning Superbowls yet, as I think barring major injuries to Tampa Bay, I can see Brady winning his 8th ring this upcoming season.

    It's called SITUATIONAL AWARENESS and no one does it better than Brady. A good test for QB situational awareness would be a police practice range (good guy/bad guy) or a simulated driving test with lots of lane changes. It's all about the mental speed and reaction.

      I can agree with that, and I honestly think its also one of hte reasons people are just so reluctant to give him GOAT status. Meanwhile dynamic players like Mahomes who thorw the ball laying down get more praise. Brady just isnt flashy. He plays to win. Like Troy Aikman was saying; he has a lost art of doing whatever it takes to win, where a lot of the gun-slinger superstar QBs will do like Mahomes and run around 500 yards and force plays. It looks good, but thats why Aaron Rodgers has 1 ring, and Brady has 7.

      @Grogu Djarin Brady had short fields pretty much the whole game. And that is a huge benefit of how Brady plays - he doesn't try to force it if he doesn't have to. He's clutch when he has to be, but if he just needs to play solid football and not turn the ball over he will do it.

    Troy's comment reminds me of the Falcons v. Pats Super Bowl where Matt Ryan took a sack when if he had just spiked the ball twice and kicked a field goal they probably would have won. It seems so easy to make those decisions in hindsight, but even veterans like Ryan can't help it. A lot of players just want to make the great plays all the time. Few players like Brady are always doing those calculations and doing the thing, no matter how boring or strange, that gives them the best chance to win.

Bellicheck never left patriots, but everyone else who did could never repeat the patriot succeed. Now it’s completely obvious that Brady is key here. He is the success. However, I have no doubt that the patriot coaches made Brady who he is today, if he hasn’t worked with those folks he may not be this good.

      @Elthenar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a combination of factors. Tom Brady is all that. There can be no doubt. Yet, he would not have been able to win if Bill hadn't consistently built talented teams around him. Remember how many of his teams won with suffocating defense. Remember that Tom's best offenses never won it all.

    • @Elthenar
      @Elthenar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Long Duck Dong Yup. Now look beyond the numbers. He was playing under Art Modell, who had no money and was known for running a poor organization. Also remember that when Brady was hurt and Hoodie had a strong team built, they were something like 14 and 2 without Brady.
      This last year was simply the result of the check coming due. Bill had normally built his teams to last but that changed a few years ago. I suspect he, thought Brady would eventually decline due to age so he cashed his chips in and a short term run. The Patriots responded with several Super Bowl appearancse and 3 wins. The problem is that the team is now devoid of talent. Meanwhile, Brady went to a team that was absolutely loaded at every position, they just needed a real pro at QB and Brady is a prototype at being a professional QB.

      Or the Rams(the first SB win) had run the ball instead of throwing it all game?

    TB was built with great drafts and great FA signings, all it was missing was a good QB. TB defense won this SB, Brady played good, but the defense set the tone. Brady walked into a great situation and did what a good QB should do.

    • @hrussell9677
      @hrussell9677 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He was the GM as well as the QB. All their points came from players Brady brought in (except Succup). You can’t win if the QB can’t play and yes, the defense played lights out, but much of that comes from the influence of a game changer. And they don’t get the SB without scoring points. Without Brady, they don’t go to the SB or win it.
