Scientific Name: PAVO CRISTATUS
मोर :-
शारीरिक बनावट : इनके पंख चमकीले, इस पर कई रंग होते हैं, जैसे नीला, लाल और सुनहरा। इनके पंखों पर आंखों के आकार का निशान होता है। मोर के सिर पर बड़ी कलंगी तथा मादा के सिर पर छोटी कलंगी होती है। नर मोर की लंबाई 215 cm और ऊंचाई करीब 50cm. जबकि मादा की लंबाई 95cm मोर का वजन 4-6 kg जबकि मादा का वजन - 2-4kg तक होता है।
सामाजिक व्यवहार : इसका नाचना बहुत भव्य और मोहक होता है। यह अपनी असाधारण सुंदरता और अनोखे व्यवहार के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। मादा 28 दिनों के ऊष्मायन के बाद 4-8 हल्के पीले रंग के अंडे।
रहवास : नम और सूखी पर्णपाती जंगलों में।
आहार: यह अनाज, सांप, छिपकली और चूहे आदि खाते हैं।
जीवनकाल : इसका जीवनकाल जंगल में 15 साल जबकि चिड़ियाघर में 23 साल ।
PEACOCK :-
Physical Features: Their feathers are shiny, but there are many colors, like blue, red and golden. There is an eye shaped mark on their wings. Peacock has a big feather on its head and a female has a small feather on its head. The length of the male peacock is 215 cm and height is about 50 cm. While the length of the female peacock is 95 cm, the weight of the peacock is 4-6 kg while the weight of the female peacock is 2-4 kg.
Social Behavior: It dances a lot It is grand and charming. It is famous for its extraordinary beauty and unique behavior. The female lays 4-8 pale yellow eggs after 28 days of incubation.
Habitat: In moist and dry deciduous forests.
Food: It eats grains, snakes, lizards and rats etc.
Lifespan: Its lifespan is 15 years in the wild while 23 years in the zoo.
