    Thank you so much for this detail tutorial.
    The remote controller's mouse pointer movement is not visible to users as well as user's pointer movement to remote controller.
    Is there any hidden setting in configmgr to activate it?
    Is this a bug or Microsoft didn't provide this feature?
    While Teamviewer shows the mouse pointer movement on both ends.

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there is a setting like that. Yes, you can lock the mouse and keyboard of the remote device. However, it does not impact the visibility of the pointer.

    • @TekNexSolutions

      If you created these rules on ConfigMgr machine then they shouldn’t appear on the client machine. You need to create those rules separately on client machines manually or via gpo.

    I have one question, should I change the "\\DeviceName\C$" everytime when I want to do client push installation on other unit?
    I tried to add new user with SCCM account before I do Client push installation on other unit, but it said that this account is already exist...

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don’t need to change the device name. Why are you adding new user on an end device? Don’t you use AD and all the users exist in AD.
      Let me know if I understood your question and answered accordingly.

    • @lynnh3441
      @lynnh3441 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TekNex Solutions ummm...the reason why I think that is because In your video, the client computer named PC01, and you type \\pc01\c$ accordingly, so for example if I want to do client push install on another unit named PC02, which already joined domain, maybe I should use \\pc02\c$ ?

"Download update : A recoverable error has occured.A rety attempt will be made .Error 0x80200024,Description The job is not making progress.The server may be msiconfigured .BITS will try again later.The error occured while the local file was being processed.Verify that the file is not in use and Retry"

      It could be related to the firewall(if there is any anti-virus) or networking.

      Are you saying ccmsetup runs on the end device or not?

  • @RaidenXXII

    Device is showing online on SCCM Console, CCM client is installed and in active status under device collection, but when I tried to ping to device from SCCM console, I get an error message saying Computer is turned off. It's only affecting a few devices from the collection.
    What could this be caused by? I can not remote in or go to device shared location from SCCM or DC ie "\\DeviceName\C$". I have uninstalled and installed CCM client on that computer and App deloyment came down after running App Deployment evaluation policy but I still can't ping from SCCM RCT or DC.
    How do you check if the ccm client is healthy and SCCM Console is not getting false report. I check Client status and that device ccm client was ok.

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Raiden X One thing is strange here, if you cannot browse to c$ of a device how is it possible the client is installed. Because to install a client, SCCM would go to c:\windows\ccmsetup of the end device and then run ccmsetup locally.

    • @RaidenXXII
      @RaidenXXII 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TekNexSolutions I ran the ccmsetup locally from CMD in c:\windows\ccmsetup. Checked the ccmsetup log in the same folder and successfully install with return error code=0. I didn't copy the client folder from the sccm shared folder to the local machine.
      What is strange is it failed to do ccmrepair. After ccmsetup was reinstalled it started pulling down the app deployment from sccm.
      When I tried to ping from sccm console or machine policy update from sccm console, it says computer is turned off. Client is getting app deployment but sccm can't reach the client. Under devices it's say online with green icon as well. I'm confused.
      How do make sure Client Status is not reporting false client health status and do a regular client health maintenance? Am using sccm 1810?

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RaidenXXII I have seen similar scenario before but not exactly same as yours. In that case I had a client connected by Ethernet when device was connected to the domain. Then I changed it over to Wi-Fi and tried installing client via Client Push Install. I checked ccm.log file on SCCM server and it made sense because SCCM was trying to resolve previous IP of the device which it got through Ethernet. I cleared DNS cache to fix that issue, which was pretty simple fix.
      In your case, I would say reinstall client through SCCM Push install and then check ccm.log file on the server. See what it says, it will tell you what it is trying to connect to and why it cannot connect.
      Also, it would be worth trying nslookup to your device and compare with ccm.log IP of the device.

    Why opening firewall? Sccm account is part of local admin. No one runs the windows firewall in the Corp environment. Corps usually run parameter firewalls so no need to run local firewall and internet facing clients use protected MPs and DPs in the DMZ.

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no co-relation between opening a firewall and an admin account. If a port is blocked on a device then even a super admin cannot go through the blocked port. For instance, if RDP is blocked no admin can access a device through RDP. Corps do run parameter firewalls, they may turn off the Server firewalls according to their Intranet layouts.

    Damn.. I struggled for few hours with push instalation. I was getting errors: Unable to connect to remote machine using Kerberos with alternate account, error - 0x80004005
    The solution for this was to ad: A Host entry of my test PC to the DNS server. Is it normal? Through tutorials it was said that PC should obtain IP via DHCP server..
    Somebody also faced it?

    • @TekNexSolutions
      @TekNexSolutions  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If SCCM server doesn’t know how to find your device on network with the host name, then how will it copy files to install client?
      Food for thought 💭!
      SCCM will connect to admin dollar of the machine. For example if device is pc01, it will connect to \\pc01\c$. However, first it needs to resolve to an ip of the connection on network. If you can’t ping to pc01 and dns won’t return an IP then connection will fail.
      In a nutshell, it is not much of getting an ip from dhcp but getting ip from dhcp ensures all the dns entries are added automatically for you.

      DHCP server on DC had address lease for my PC but with my understanding and what You are saying DNS should automatically create entries - it didnt happened. I had to create DNS entry manually for my test PC.
      ALSO i was able to ping my pc machine from SC server with host name(and reverse) before adding dns entry. There were no problems with that @@TekNexSolutions
