I liked the new morale rule for Firefight, is a shame now we have again the turn 1 table, but I guess I can adapt my play stile to survive more. The other changes i am Glad we are back to normal.

I think I’m in the same boat as you. I didn’t find use of the Assault rule much but honestly I didn’t get a lot of games in. But I did like the last version of shaken.

hi from Argentina. At home we are starting to get into skirmish games. We are currently gathering some material to try and settle for a long term game or campaign. Recently i came across a OPR version of WH underworlds. I think it`s called Arena and there is grimdark firefight and fantasy arena. Have you tried it or seen it? I can`t find discussions or anything for it and it looks like a complete package...

Greetings, I don’t know much about Underworlds. As of now I didn’t think OPR has any current system with a grid layout play area. OPR does have mission packs that have different conditions and deployment setups for Skirmish and Firefight. You can also download mission cards free from their website to add a little extra to the gameplay.

Putting it in the advanced rules makes sense to me. I personally would like to see an intermediate rules section as I have been in this world for almost a year and I am ready for assault and shaken rules to be added. It seemed that the rules were not explained thoroughly and there was some confusion. Until that is ironed out it should stay in the advanced section.

The actual Assault rule wasn’t hard to understand and I had someone sort of pick on me on a FB comment how I should be able to comprehend it, but I did just run into situations in which I wasn’t sure how to resolve it with certain units. To get more people involved in the game, I’m a fan of the simpler core rules and it just seems cool to have an advanced rule set for the experienced players.

Side note, I just realized that I took a serious look into OPR because of your “Why I’m getting into OPR” videos and I have two Elegoo printers because of another one of your videos. Cheers!

@@SquareTableUnion well my issue was that there were some parts that were open to “interpretation “. For instance, if the target was destroyed the rules stated that you can still complete its remaining movement. That could mean to someone that they can move in any direction now. That would be OP in my opinion.

@@SquareTableUnion well I do have to say you are already a huge asset to the community with your videos. It is nice to know I played a part in it. 😉
