Early Life and Education Bola Ahmed Tinubu was born on 29 March 1952 in Lagos, Nigeria. He hails from a prominent Yoruba family, which has played a significant role in his political and social development. Tinubu’s early education began in Lagos, where he attended St. John's Primary School, Aroloya, and Children's Home School in Ibadan. He moved to the United States for higher education and attended Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, Illinois, before transferring to Chicago State University. At Chicago State University, Tinubu excelled academically, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1979
