I’m only 18 years old. The first tournament I remember watching Italy play in was the 2010 World Cup, which was a disaster. Then, in 2012, I saw them make the Euro Final before getting crush by Spain. Needless to say, I was crushed as well. In 2014, I was devastated when we lost to Uruguay in the final 10 minutes right after Suarez bit Chiellini and got away with it. In 2016, I was heartbroken when we lost to Germany for the very first time in a penalty shootout. It got to a low point when we lost to Sweden and failed to even qualify for the World Cup in 2018. I may be young, but I’ve already seen a little bit of everything. This is my first time watching Italy win a major tournament, and I’ll tell you: it’s unlike any other feeling.
