- The third and final leg of our trail around the Grampians takes us to Plantation Campground which is only 10kms out of Halls Gap. One of the only free camps so close to town that is dog friendly and fires are allowed! A great spot for a weekend away at Halls Gap.

Thank you taking us with you and for showing us free and dog friendly campsites around the Grampians trail. I agree with y'all, I liked the first two campsites better then the last one. The last one was beautiful, but it just seemed to be crowded and tight.

Knew you were going to plantation campground!! Love the grampians and spent a lot of my younger years camping there and yes I agree winter is the time to go!! Did you make bookings at each restaurant? That seemed like a fun way to eat dinner!❤
