Even though I condemn the death of Ameni, I think it's not worth it to protest against a government that will never comply with the people. One death resulted in the deaths of 43 more people, all because of the protest. All these people who died in the protest could have been living peacefully with their families if they had not joined in the protest. As an Iranian, I support the government's mandate for the hijab. 90% of Iranian people support the mandate of wearing the hijab. Less than 0.001% of the people in Iran are protesting against the hijab. That does not represent the entire demographic of the country's population. Accidents can happen. The death of Masha Ameni happened because of a heart attack. I can definitely say that the police didn't want to kill her. As I said, accidents can happen. So don't blame the government. The media is hypocritic. They didn't publish any news when women were forbidden to wear hijab in some countries, even though the women wanted to wear it. But now they are publishing the news day and night.

That's it.. We, Indonesia, have been through this dark period for a long time, in the 98 Monetary Crisis Demo, since then Indonesia's dark period has ended with the fall of the dictatorial leader, and the condition of the country has gradually improved from year to year..

Iran is a Muslim country that creates the most amount of apostates and atheists in the world. 67 percent of Iranians reject the idea of theocracy, and 72 percent reject having a religious figure as the head of the state.
Nearly half of Iranians identify as some form of irreligious-none, agnostic, spiritual, or atheist. Why do you think this is?
I think that this is what happens when governments try to implement a twisted version of Islam on a population that is not based on authentic sources and which doesn't really represent the idea of Tawheed or the oneness of God (Allah). People simply have no connection with God so they of course rebel against the government that is implementing laws based on religion because they see it as oppressing their freedoms.
It's crucial to understand that true freedom is only achieved when following Islam and Allah's commands. But you must experience it.
This is the job ahead of us. Making people understand the beauty of Islam and the submission to Allah.
Once you understand this, you would want to wear a hijab or follow the Sunna. Look at the sisters in India or France who on the contrary are protesting for their right to wear the Hijab.

Having grown up in Iran, and knowing about the hate and frustration with the last shah of Iran Reza Pahlavi and afterwards welcoming Ayatollah Khomeini was the tip of the Iceberg and possibly the biggest mistake the Iranians ever made ! Today the unfortunate Iranians, especially the female population is paying the price 😕! Personally I stated many times, Mullahs belong to their Mosque, and not in Politics . Especially on the steering wheel of a country.
Hopefully something good comes out of the Situation, but unfortunately after so many death, I believe all the Mullahs should be standing trial! Enough, is enough!

Surprisingly, the protests were not directed at police brutality or medical negligence. Rather, liberals in Iranian society saw the tragedy as an opportunity to publicly show their contempt for Islam and commit massive blasphemy.
For one thing, police brutality is not uncommon around the world. The United States rarely saw protesters publicly desecrate Christian symbols during the Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd. Nevertheless, when it comes to cases of oppression and tyranny in the Islamic world, Islam is often the primary target of censorship and popular hostility.

So happy that your difficult times ended with having a beautiful son. But a few points to clarify the distinction between US and Iran. As an Iranian living in the US I can testify that Iranian women are in much worse condition. Based the states rules, women need a guardian (father, brother, or husband for married women) permission to travel. They can’t divorce their husbands (if the husband doesn’t want to let go, the poor woman should continue living with him!!!). In the case of a divorce or death of the husband, the custody of children is given to the husband or his family, not the mother!!! This unbelievable list goes on.

It is about identity as well...the women and men those who protest want a different identity...similar to the way some Muslim women in India who wish to wear hijab they want their own identity ( defined by religion in this case) and offcourse freedom of choice..

It’s the people of Iran who are responsible for this. Still there is a substantial population that supports this regime just the way they supported during the revolution. If they really want a change then an overwhelming majority has to protest and bring about a change.

Hijab rules and regulations should be made and explained in a simplified way.
They should be easy to follow.
Muslim women should not feel kind of being controlled or restrained by wearing it.
People and religious fanatics have made it a complicated issue.
And to the top of it, we have such acts by so called immortality police.

So you obviously have not read the script itself. Rules are simple: wear hijab from where hair grows to wrist! So Blame the religions, before you blame people who sheepishly follow religions.
The most dangerous people are those who say: religion itself is good, fanatics apply it incorrectly.

All news reports say that she was dressed inappropriately according to Iran's morality police. Can some one illustrate what exactly she was wearing, and how many inches of her hair were revealed? From the photos she appears to be very well covered from head to toe.
