I’ve got this for 9 months now and this is a game changer. With a bass, multi-effects, cables, iPad, and other accessories inside, my back muscles are extremely grateful for this. This was an immediate upgrade from the normal vertigo the moment it was released in my local store.

A tactical S.W.A.T. vest for your bass! My heart stopped when he threw the bass in the air!!!

And it was LOUD when it hit the ground. Reverberated through the whole neighborhood. I did it twice and the first throw seems to be the one that put the damage on the bass. The video angle wasn’t as good, hence the repeat bit when I watched it back frame-by-frame, the bag hits the ground at the same spot where the damage occurred. I’m reasonably strong so I got a good height on it and I’m definitely surprised the bass wasn’t hurt more.

I played a gig with a friend a while ago up in Alaska, and he had the guitar version that fits two guitars. It had to go under the plane on both the way there and back, and he was not even remotely concerned (even though it was like $6k worth of guitar in a bag). He was actually more concerned about his pedalboard that was in a flight case. I'm definitely going to get my own Mono bag some day.

I bought a Marcus Miller P7 last year and the ad said no case or bag...but when I picked up the bass at the store, I opened the box to find a gig bag...a Mono Vertigo bass gig bag...nice surprise...worth almost as much as the bass that was inside! Like a vault you can carry

it looks like an amazing bag but it costs more than my SKB hardshell case that is literally bombproof. I really enjoyed this review swinging the case like a baseball bat at a pole was a good laugh. Looking forward to more case reviews in the future.

    We've got 5 cats.
I've got a double guitar gig bag from Gator that was obscenely expensive for a gig bag but the cats have given up on trying to snag it - they can't.
It's also super configurable, comes with its own rain fly, lots of compartments, and has great padding/support in/out. The handles are large and comfortable yet still supportive enough to use for longer stretches without fatigue or pinching. Rubber bumpers all around on all contact points on edges and planes.
That being said, I'm always interested in improved gear so thanks for the review and video.

The last vertigo version would not accept a 5-string neck with 19 mm spacing. Has this been fixed?

I just went to their website and there's a Vertigo ULTRA case for $80 more dollars; too bad they sent you the cheaper one. I have never been a fan of soft cases for the reason you demonstrated. Yes, it did a lot to protect the bass, but what I'd like to see is a soft case that protects like a hard case. For the money of the one you reviewed, I can easily buy a hard case.

I’ve had the Mono vertigo bass case for a couple of years now and absolutely love the case!! However, the “Mono” logo is starting to peel….. does anyone have an idea of where or who I can go to to get the logo touched up besides Mono?

I have mono double case for 2 bases and thomann bass soft case.(like you get with dingwal bases). So thomans soft case is much better in protection and better quality material 👌
