your a good teacher, well spoken. so I plan on setting at a cafe in my small toen. It looks like rings and bracelets out of wire is the way to go. Im half blind and have one leg, its perfect. as a back up I water color and as back up 2 I play a bad ass somewhere over the rainbow . It is all about the festivity of it all to me
Love the simple styles here. It's surprising how something may look a bit plain while being made but then looks wonderful being worn. You're a good teacher, too: love YOUR style. :)
Thank you for sharing your time and ideas so much easier then some of the other sites they have beautiful items but use pricy tools and more complicated directions I am enjoying learning
It's gorgeous and has artistic motion when just looking at it. The play of light, as it dances on each pair of strand-swirls, is so interesting. As all of us try to conserve our wire, and so as not to waste it, I'm considering pairing square 20 gauge with 18 gauge round when selecting one of your easier design instructions. This one is just heavenly!
When I saw your zigzag, I am inspired to try a double zigzag, then hammer them. Then kinda do a two part braid/weave/do-si-do so they stay together and look cool! I've done it with rick-rack. Fun! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for this great tutorial! I have a whole pile of these I've made, practicing with aluminum wire first, while watching tv with my mom (I'm her roommate/companion/caregiver). Your videos are so great with such good instruction, I can immediately start making my own!
I love the colors and patterns and tried wire wrapping fresh water pearls on the copper one and was pleasantly surprised with the wow factor like you suggested. You're awesome. Can't wait for your next video. Please keep them coming.
Thank you so much for sharing your Awesome talent! I just found your channel and really enjoy your tutorials, you go step by step and make it easy to follow your instructions you help so many people like me who are trying to learn wire wrapping. Thanks Matt you have a new subscriber! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That is so awesome! Can it be lightly hammered? I know it’s not supposed to be hammered in the areas that it is overlapping, but could you lightly hammer the Circle’s? Or the clasp area?
On the first one, when you do the final bend on each loop, are you sending it in a certain direction or are you just flattening out the wire to keep the wires next to each other? I can't tell in the video.
That’s hard #1 took me several tries because I’m new at this and I couldn’t figure out exactly how to twist them because of the changing direction of the loops Didn’t come out as nice as Matt’s but it’s almost wearable 🤪😍
How do I know what "gauge" is...I bought some jewerly wire but there is only thickness and how many meters are. Hope you undertood...You make fine jewerly!
Ask a person at an art store what the gauge is. There is a tool you can buy to measure gauge too. It is like a flat piece of metal with grooves for each gauge.
So cool. Is the wire u use coated?? Do u work with aluminum?? Just wondering whats the best type of wire to use that won't discolor the skin, tarnish etc..or best for ppl with skin allergies . Tfs
Coated copper is what I use. Aluminum is good for some things but I generally avoid it because it's so flimsy. If I use it, I try to hammer it to make it stronger.
