Why did you ask him such a typical Indian question? Relationship, Dating, making kids without marraige are very normal in first world countries. Parents don't interfere once you becomes adult. India nahi hain ki paros wali aunty puchenge ki shaadi kab karogi Umar nikal rahi hain.

Although my comment is not education based but as a soon to be cambly tutor i was browsing and came across this video. Being born in the UK to Indian parents, the best way I make my european/British friends understand arranged marriage is to give the example of European royalty. Most of their marriages were arranged up until quiet recently for the very same reason Indian/south Asians have arranged marriages.
I actually went against my families wishes and coincidently married a girl from Haryana! 😆
By the way your English is very good. As we say in the UK "practice makes perfect" 👍
