You can also use a shield named Reinforcement (has health on parry) if you liked parrying, getting some free health, and then use Golden Wolf to get back more health. As for the bow, I used the Composite bow and Jebel Barkel (Predator bow with range multiplier). Takes Anubis down pretty fast XD Same equipment for taking down the elephants as well.
SPGamer you can't dodge all of them in the 2nd stage where they come in 2 at a time and at an angle where your dodge recovery won't let you dodge the 2nd. I say 'cant' but I think at a certain distance from Anubis, and dodging at a certain angle will work, I definitely did it some before I learned you could shoot the dogs, but its not as easy as dodge when they bark like in stage 1 and 3.
you can dodge them at the same time in stage 2 if you go far away enough and you have their path crossed. If recorded my battle and you can check it out if you want.
playing on Nightmare and I'm like I can't Dodge that many because there's a cool down on your Dodge so now I'm looking up how people are dealing with the hyenas because getting him this low for him to pull out that is really annoying

When i went to try to kill Anubis a second time, the hyenas kept on hitting me when i was facing forward so i turned around wo all i can see the is the desert and i dodge all of them completely fine, except the tast one, btw this is when Anubis was sending two at a time.
Quick Tip to kill Phylakes for the weapons in this vid: If you are three to four lvls below then just isolate the Phylake and stealth attack-run-hide-repeat. They die faster this way
This is quite an old comment so mine might not be valid. But I’ve also found that fast charging weapons help to kill them easier, just knock them to the floor and get a few good hits in then rinse n repeat
@Tiskari the ones that give content, the hidden shadow and the curse one. You just have to have them, you don't need to do them, I was 49 just from beating the main game and doing everything, almost to 55 just from the first dlc.

Those fiery Hyena can be shot. Try using a Predator Bow to damage Anubis and a Light Bow to keep the Hyena at bay. When the dead spawn run towards the nearest one and assassinate him followed by a chain assassination. Then to your Overpower Attack followed by a Overpower Chain Throw.
I was reading up on that glitched quest item and its actually just a glitch, you was not suppose to get that only the sword, 1000 XP and the 250 coins after you defeated the boss. Tip if youre having trouble or tired of what a arrow sponge he is... If you aren't yet level 40, or want to buy more ability points, get the warrior bow perk that let's you charge to reduce the radius of the arrows and put as many points into bow damage as you can. Now equip the Composite light bow like suggested, as well as The Fourth Plague warrior bow. Use the composite bow to shoot the dogs only, use your sword to kill the spawns to save time and potential health running to pick up more arrows, and use the Fourth Plague warrior bow to do damage to Anubis. The damage is rediculous, 3 perfect hits will send him into the first mob stage. Light bows barely register damage, same with the hunter bow. Anyway that made it easy for me. Like an idiot I didn't know you could shoot the dogs he sends at you and kept trying to dodge my first several attempts. This becomes really difficult in the middle stages and I went in initially at lvl 38 without any health regen items. It seemed impossible at that point because dodging 1 dog would assure another hit me about 50% of the time (I believe it depends on your distance from Anubis). Good luck!
I had a slight variation of gear than mentioned in the video that worked well. My loadout was the ultima blade, ziedrich shield, and the spirit catch bow.
Just beat Anubis using Wolfsbane and Hyperion. Character Level 36, just take your time and don't rush it, play it cool, hardest part for me was the dogs on the 3rd part but never died to them
You don't have to fight this boss 4 times, there's 4 bosses over the course of a month. Anubis is boss #1 in the first week, the following 3 weeks have a new boss each week. Beating all 4 of the bosses over the next month is what gives you the outfit.
Is this a repeatable boss fight? I have killed Anubis 3 times now... I have not received any outfit.. I only received the sword. And its still in my quest log, but i have defeated him each time. Is this normal?

I used Neith light bow, Deathstorm hunter bow and for melee mostly used Divide et impera heavy axe for the health on hit and I’m level 38 my weapons are level 27,35,36 and 38 and I beat the boss without any problem mostly depends on your play style so it doesn’t matter what you use but would recommend something for the melee with the health on hit perk for the combat

Am I the only one who doesn't use special ability weapons? It takes the skill out of it. The only weapon I pretty much use is the Standard Khopesh which deals lvl 2 bleeding damage. And a predator + hunting bow. I've got a spear but I dont use it. I finally got a chance to defeat him today as I was too low a rank, I did it at lvl 39 with those weapons, it was tough at first but as you said, once you start to do it more it gets easier. It looks MUCH easier that it really is. Lol.

You could beat anubis at level 4 because you can make anubis kill the ads whilst you shoot doubling damage and th warrior's bow isn't absolutely necessary ive seen people do well with a Hunter bow instead

Considering the games only about 2 weeks old it’s an odd decision to have a trial that is set at max level. Generally the average gamer isn’t going to level 40 yet, though if it’s only a 4 week rotation till this rolls round again...

try doing this at level 34, where 1 hit from the skeleton guys does 70% health damage to you... 2 hits kill you. Oh... and no composite bow either

Anubis is a level 48 for me. Seems like everytime I leveled up the required level for this quest went up.

Very nice video. As secondary melee weapon, you might wanna try the Copper Mace, health on hit. But you need to be good with a slow weapon.

If you check in to ubisoft u will get a Golden version of that anubis-sword called the sunkiller. health on critical hit + 100% crit chance

How to beat it. run in a circle, dodge and shoot arrows. Rinse and Repeat. Didnt even lose half a bar when doing this.
