Fun fact... right next door to the "Art Deco" McDonalds is a brothel. You can see the black and white sign in the back right near the parking lot in one of the photos. Melbourne's a hell of a city. Get a happy ending with your happy meal! (I've visited that McDonalds not the other place)

Having been to Chessington and being bri'ish, I can confirm that the vampire McDonald's no longer exists. It is now its own restaurant owned by the theme park themselves, but I can't remember the name, it's probably called Dracula's Diner or something. The cool rollercoaster is there too! (it's called the vampire)

Ahh, this unlocked a memeory. I used to go to a McDonalds that had saddle seats [ not sure if it was the one talked about in the video or not ]. It was loosely saloon themed if I recall correctly, and young me loved to go there just to sit on the saddle seats. Unfortunately, like the epic McDonald's, it was renovated and lost any charm it had.

Oh my god, you just awoken something in me. In fact, it is a very nostalgic and strange feeling. After the dentist as a child I was always hungry, we'd stop by the near McDonalds. This was the Mcdonalds. I've seen this picture but with my own eyes. In the back there is a huge playset which was the best thing ever and I wanted to spend hours in. It was a nice place.
So cool to see Brazil twice in the video, we do have some pretty cool mcdonalds. I went to the funky looking one twice, it is located in a very nice touristic town in the south, but never to the méqui 1000, even though I live in São Paulo. I remember it was a huge deal when it opened because it is the 1000th mcdonalds. Also, méqui is the Brazilian nickname for mcdonalds, so this is why it's written there.
I'm so happy they went for a fun design, all the ones in my area are box shaped and boring...
Being from north Texas the jungle McDonald’s outside of the Dallas zoo was honestly more magical than the zoo itself when I was a kid. Seeing it stripped and shut down on Twitter honestly me quite sad to see another unique location go extinct. Rip Dallas Zoo McDonald’s 😢

5:40: i've actually been to that mcdonalds! We usually went to the rainforest cafe but we were a bit late so there was a huge line, and we went to the mcdonalds instead. The arches are super big, and i remember there being a couple statues of the older mcdonald mascots! It was pretty cool! Also it's rlly big :D

i've actually went to the worlds biggest mcdonalds before, every year when we vacation to Orlando we pass by this place on our way back to our hotel. took me a lot of convincing my mom to get her to give in to the mctemptation
The one at the 5:13 mark is located in Las Vegas at Sahara and Rainbow.
To be honest, I had never thought much about it other than being the closest McDonald's to my house growing up.
The fancy plaza McDonald’s in Sydney should be on that list. Used to be the foyer of a fancy theatre in the 1930s, and the upper walls and ceiling have gilded fancy decor

In Brazil we have turma da Mônica, basically like peanuts, a group of characters that appear as some franchise in books, movies comic strips etc. And It has a park in the city of São Paulo. In this park theres a Turma da Mônica themed McDonald's. Also, i didint know Brazil had such cool McDonald's!

You totally forgot about "McBarge", otherwise known as "Friendship 500". It was McDonalds on and inside a ship that was hosted during Expo '86 in Vancouver (and some small time beyond).

Hey! I am pretty sure this is located where I live, just that, the place has been renovated onto a modern style. Good to see it though.

As someone who has been to the Barstow Station multiple times, there are other restaurants there, like Subway, Panda Express, Wetzel Pretzel, and a generic BBQ restaurant, but the McDonalds is the only one that uses the train theming.

The méqui 1000 building is located in the city of Sao Paulo in Brazil and it is the 1000th McDonald's built (i don't know if it's internationally or nationally)
It is one of the most different McDonald's out there, so much so that they actually have exclusive menu items such as: Coke McFlurry, Pie flavored McShakes and a whole menu dedicated to onion rings (you ain't finding onion rings at your local Mac).
If you're looking to go there be aware that
1- it's located in the "Avenida Paulista"
2- it's normally pretty full so go in the morning
3- Take some photos, both of you and the menu
4- bring some extra money, things there might be a bit expensive, so if you want those exclusive menu items, i recommend bringing some extra money
5- if you can, try staying at that Airbnb nearby

@2:10 --- the "Denton house" McDonalds is located in New Hyde Park NY long island, I've gone to that one with a friend its mind blowing the history of the house since they only use the main floor for dining the upper floor is closed off to everyone to preserve the house, I think they have it kept up in condition for history behind the house since it was built during a time of settlers building homes and such, there are some other areas on long island that were built earlier or later than the Denton House

There's a McDonald's in New Hyde Park, NY that's occupied in a Georgian-style mansion that was originally a farmhouse in the late 18th century. In 1988, it became a landmark structure, meaning the exterior needed to be preserved during multiple renovations. It's quite a classy bit of architecture for a fast-food place. You could take your prom date there after the dance.

I remember a McDonald's spaceship that I visited a few times as a child of the 90s. It was based in Cambridgeshire UK, sadly it shut down around the 2000s due to asbestos. I also remember the happy meal toy was snoopy in different outfits that are swappable

There used to be a retro McDonalds on E St Charles Rd in Villa Park. It was one of the earliest locations and had a car-turned booth set instead of it, along with old displays of McDonalds memorabilia and items from throughout the years. Sadly during 2018-2019 it was redesigned into the bland modern design.

One of my neighbors has a Ronald McDonald’s on their balcony, but sadly no restaurant to call home. Lonely and alone, every once in a while Ronald is seen to switch positions, but his favorites are laying back like he’s getting a tan, staring off into space, and watching *you*.

Bug-loving South Alabama resident here! The boll weevil ronal macdonal doesn’t really vary much from other locations, but the statue itself is one of many painted boll weevil statues spread all around the city of enterprise(same concept as the garfield statues in marion indiana).
The boll weevils were made a symbol of the area due to a huge outbreak of them that destroyed entire fields of crops. Cotton was the most valuable crop to Alabamians at the time, so when the boll weevils started absolutely FLOURISHING in it, farmers looked to greener pastures and examples from other states and started growing peanuts, which was valuable AND didn’t allow for much more pest growth. A little over 100 years later, the boll weevil is the symbol of enterprise, alabama because it inspired our great-grandparents to continue improving just when they thought things would only get worse.
TLDR alabama farmers in the early 1900s lost a shitton of money in cotton to boll weevils, started an even better venture, and now you can come to McDonald’s and take a selfie with a beloved Ronald McDonald boll weevil

fun fact about the portuguese mcdonalds: It has crocodiles because it is located in the lisbon zoo, portugal's most important zoo. There isnt a playspace but there is a tablet in each table, as that is the more hygienic playspace substitute they found here. And you can also change your french fries for a soup
Didn't know about these ones in Brazil, so cool! And there used to have another unique Mc in the city I live. Back in 1998, they made a cinema themed one, with Hollywood stars on the floor, wallpaper with scenes of popular movies, drive-thru showing the latest releases... That was the coolest thing ever to me as a kid. The restaurant still exists, but is no longer themed. Such a pity, but I guess it would've look dated by now.

The Macdonalds at 2:21 is located in Melbourne, Australia and the upstairs is actually a physiological therapy facility. I go there every 2 weeks and I love it when my mother rewards me with chicken nuggets after a hard days work of trying to bite off my therapist’s hand off 😸😸😸

The town I used to live near had a rock and roll themed mcdonalds with some fun themed tables and seating. It also had statues of what I think were the Blues brothers (unfortunately, it got renovated a few years back)
I also used to have a Flinstones t-shirt that had a "rocdonalds" on it
About 15 minutes from where I live in The Netherlands, there's a 50's & 60' themed mcdonalds that holds variable American pop-icon collectables from the 50's up to the 80's and it's one of the only Mcdonalds I've ever been to where your food is actually served to your table while the employee's wear Mcdonalds outfits from that time period as if you're actually back in time.
Back in the day it also had a giant Michael Jackson statue next to its drive through, but they removed it after the Michael Jackson alligations went viral because of that documantary a few years ago.

McDonald's really needs to build some train-themed restaurants in Fostoria (Ohio), Bellevue (Ohio), Rochelle (Illinois), and Altoona (Pennsylvania). Those four cities are major railfan hotspots, so train-themed McDonald's restaurants would be ideal for those cities.

The Denton House one is close to where I worked. I was so confused about it. It's actually really chill on the inside and I often saw people gathering there for like... social gatherings? Like clubs and friends groups just like camped out at one of their big tables. The kitchen/ordering place is off to the left of the entrance in its own mini wing. You can't go upstairs as it's roped off.
