Hi, I am an upcoming barber and i follow martyblendz steps on all of my fades, however i end up with the same problem and that u detail work, I dont know which spots you are supposed to hit and i end up creating a-lot of lines by using de wrong guard. This does that I have to take longer time on the fade and it doesn’t end up as fresh as i could be. What could I do and what should i think of when I am going to detail work. Thank u

Quick question. Do you keep your fades more compressed by skipping the half guard closed all the way? Like how you start with the half guard halfway open??
Hey I use his technique and maybe I can help! I think he usually goes back with the half guard closed after he finishes going up with it half way and fully opened. It’s what I usually do also and you can also use the blade open with no guard if the half closed doesn’t work all the way
@@adrianjimenez1218 oh ok. Yeah that is what I usually do when removing that guideline. Maybe it is in the detailing part? He doesn't show it as a "step" in his videos

I recently started cutting hair I’ve learned alot from martyblendz BUT THE ONE THING I STRUGGLE WITH IS .. connecting my fade to the top someone please help 😭🙏🏽
When doing a fade i usually would start around the crown with a 1 & half guard even a 2 or 3 depending on the length on top fully open at first so you can just fade upto into that and then you can also just blend any hair or over hanging hairs around the crown area with your clippers & comb or scissors & comb, also I find if you wet the hair it can make it easier to blend. A thinning scissors is good to start with so you dont take too much off or else clipper with a half open or something like this, hope this helps you 🤟🏻
