It's never consistent, espically Australia they could days or weeks with no pay dirt then in one day they can hit a seem and a whole years worth comes up

Machines that size used 10 hours a day constantly working use 200 500 $ a day in fuel then labour n possible maintenance and the plant prob draws fair few dollars in power per hr run

Dont forget although we dont see much of the land recovered after the Alaskan mining (something we should see more of) but I am assured it happens. Perhaps the proof should be more visible to the viewing public.
