12-2 Control Shaman x Mage - Hearthstone Arena Duo Class

  • Hearthstone Arena, Expansion: Perils in Paradise (August 2024), 12-2!
    Duo Class Arena run with combo of Shaman and Mage.
    This was very hardcore run for me, as most of games were until late game, and at Round 9 I had 2 loses in a row - so I had to win 3 times in a row.
    Main Legendary card: The Galactic Projection Orb, Legendary Mage spell which is absolute powerful card in Arena, if you play a deck full of variety of spells.
    This card helped me to win more than 50% of games, however, it required good Deckbuilding around this Legendary (I was picking Spells in order to cover as much Mana slots as possible with good table effects and removals) and you need to adjust your play style which required sometimes to play spells even if losing tempo - just to setup 10 mana for Legendary spell.
    Moreover, this deck was full of Excavation cards. Currently, Mage and Shaman has many good tempo target excavation cards. therefore I picked Conductivity - to speed up the process of Excavation, which turned out as a good strategy. because I was able to finish Excavation in 4-6 games out of 14.
    Another win condition of this deck was majority of good early tempo cards, as Shock Hopper, Sythesize, Pop-Up Book, Jam Session etc.
    Many good removals, like Giant Tumbleweed, Digging Straight Down, Sunset Volley, which are quite powerful on its own, however they also have built extra value for Lethal Legendary Card.
    This is my 2nd 12 win for Shaman x Mage Duo Class arena within a year. Both classes were always good matching as both have good spell synergies, many nice removals and decent win condition cards.
