I’m blown away by the negative comments. Yes, some people who are into skincare will save and splurge on multiple products and actually use them. I’m shocked so many people are judgmental of skincare steps. Not everyone is on a budget. No, these are not all cruelty free because that isn’t everyone’s priority. Yes, these are pricey but again, some people choose to save and splurge. Yes, these have chemicals but everything in the world is chemicals. Doesn’t mean they are bad for you. Educate yourself on what ingredients do and if they are bad for you. If you choose to use all natural products, that’s great. It’s not everyone’s priority. Let people live! I enjoyed this video, and appreciate this employee putting herself out there on the internet. You go with that healthy skin girl!
alexandra once more for the ppl in the back! I'll bet a lot of the ppl that comment negatively could use all these products and improve themselves. The only thing that killed me was the spray after the oil. The spray isn't locking in anything. It's the oil.
I enjoyed her unready too, i use a lot of stuff from cheap to pricey, and I love her explanation behind every product, which is the point of all these videos!
This is Sephora's TH-cam, not Walmart's. Sephora is known for their high-end products, if you're looking for drugstore brands this is not the channel for you. You can't be exfoliating your face with St Ives and expect to look as poppin' and flawless as Darlene. Skincare is important and it's worth spending some extra money & time for younger, healthier-looking skin. This is a great video and very informative for those who are into skincare & are willing to spend money on good products. You don't necessarily have to use everything she uses everyday & you don't necessarily have to spend $500 on skincare but there's no reason for you all to be hating. Darlene is a skincare guru, ever since she helped me out with my routine my skin has improved so much!!
Great video. I use most of these products and my skin has improved so much. You truly get what you pay for. Take 15 minutes daily to take care of your skin. These really aren’t many steps.
Exactly. Sephora is not ULTA, they are known to offer more expensive, EFFECTIVE, pricier products. People are complaining because they want drugstore prices from Sephora.
Yaaas!!!! Her skin is amazing.I think a skincare routine should be unique and customized. And I love that her routine is just that. It's about what works for you!
I don't get some of these comments why even click on the video if your just going to complain about how many products she uses and how much money they are . This is a Sephora video you know the things they use on here aren't as cheap as drugstore items as someone who has very Very dry skin i dont really think its too many products
I don’t get all these negative comments, this video was great for us with dry skin. I wish my skin was as flawless as hers, right skincare makes a big difference. Don’t care about the negativity Darlene, you did great! 😍
Skincare routine is so important! Thanks! My favorite branch Ansonia Sephora at the Upper West side. All the managers and crews are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable❣️
I wish you all had her day time routine. her skin is exactly like mine. neeed this skikn type with day time routine asap! also whyyyy are you so beautiful and that ending glow raised my credit and advanced my check by a week! slay queen slay!
Everyone is complaing about the skin products she used. But this girl is flawless !! Perfect looking skin so smooth. So obviously this is working for her. Stop being cheap and invest in yourself
Every skin type is different some people can use expensive products and others can’t, which is ALL okay. But a skin care routine is crazy important especially as your skin changes with age. You don’t necessarily have to use or buy everything only what applies to you. I’m super cheap so I get the price challenge, Sephora has a bunch of inexpensive products i know cause that’s what I look for (lol). #WomanSupportingWoman that’s what’s important.
Well, and it's a Sephora chanel, which means that obviously they're going to use products that are sold at Sephora (which are typically priced higher than drugstore brands, even if they're not better quality). Obviously, it helps to be familiar with the ingredients contained in products as well as how your skin reacts to them. Websites like CosDNA are really helpful in that regard, and just simply introducing new products one at a time makes a huge difference. That way, you can see which products are making the biggest difference (or causing you to break out) and go from there. It does seem expensive when adding all of these products, but also consider that you won't be purchasing all of them every month. Also worth considering... Stores like Sephora (and Target and CVS) have an excellent return policy, so if you end up with a product that isn't working out for you, you can return it-- even if it's already been opened and partially used. And at the end of the day that can save you some money because you're not wasting it on a ton of products that you can't or won't use. So anyone out there should absolutely consider getting new products from a store with a good return policy as you build your personalized skincare routine.
Perfection. I followed your night routine to almost a T. I’m hooked! I substituted the essence for TonyMoly green tea fermented, the serum for Caudalie premiere cru, moisturizer for Origins pink matte. Everything else, exactly. What’s your A.M, weekly treat, and throughout the day regimen? I want to know more :D
I have all of the skincare products mention and I have to tell you it is so worth it. The best for ance scars is Sunday Riley Good Gene and nighttime oil.
Pooh flowers I have very dry flakey skin but I also break out a lot so it’s a little difficult to find products for me but I recommend Rose Hip Seed Oil. It moisturizes my skin really well and it doesn’t break me out. You can get it off amazon for $15 and it last a while. If this isn’t for you try CeraVe or Cetaphil moisturizers they’re both available at Walmart. Hope you find a routine that works for you!
Wholefoods Olive oil for way cheaper price because olive oil is the closest natural oil that comes to the pH balance in most people skin to replace it when washing face.
my first step is loreal dry skin micellar water. It's a cleanser and toner in one next step : the ordinary niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% next step: the ordinary Hyaluronic 2% + B5 next step : Simple Replenising Rich Moisturizer then I use The Ordinary Squalene or the Boots Botanics Facial oil, but I am ordering Marula Oil to try next week. I have dehydrated skin since moving to the desert and I've had rosacea for years and this makes my skin plump and smooth. I use a chemical exfoiliator and an oil cleanse once a week to help my skin look brighter using a high pile soft microfiber towel. I just ran out of my Timeless Hyaluronic cucumber spray that I use as a skin refresher and I am considering a repurchase on but i also have used a DIY Orange blossom or rose water with glycerin spray in the past with similar results.
People are so negative on here. She is showing you what SHE uses at home. If you have the same skin type as she does, you can pick and choose the products that she used to fit into YOUR own routine. Her skin is GLOWING 💞 There are some of you who are willing to splurge on the latest makeup products but complain about purchasing skincare products. 😑 Instead of bashing on her, how about you just appreciate her GLOWING and gorgeous bare face?
Can one person be jealous of her skin? Asking for a friend... lol I need some of these products though! Thanks for showing and demo'ing the products. Appreciate it! Helpful x 10!
The mist on top of the oil killed me. The oil is what seals in moisture, not the grape water, so there's little if any benefit to spraying water on top of the oil. You typically want to apply products in order from thinnest to thickest, which means watery products first (including the mist), then thicker serums, then moisturizer, then oil as a finishing step if you don't mix it into the moisturizer.
I'm having trouble finding the right skin care products for my skin type. I have texture dry skin plus my skin is Soo sensitive to fragrances. Any suggestions? ty
Well done! You applied all those product in correct order! Do you have to use this many products?no. But I like that she showed the proper way to use an acid and then everything else. Just remember bring everything down the neck to decolette. Tatcha, drunk elephant, dr. Gross, caudalie- all such lovely brands that don't test on animals!
Great video. That's a lot of products! Are they all cruelty free? I added up the cost of the products and came to $511 before tax. I don't know anyone who can afford $500 a month or even a year for skin care. If you could narrow it down to two must haves (cruelty free and vegan), which products would you recommend?
Many Sephora shoppers - such as myself, a teacher - can afford to spend $500 a year on skincare if we choose to. I don't believe in skimping on skincare and found that expensive products (I highly recommend Drunk Elephant) works much better than some cheaper alternatives.
thrivesurvive I to can afford to spend $500 and above on skincare. I would spend $$$ on makeup to put over textured, acne prone scared skin. I started to spend $$$ on higher end skin care and now my face is smooth. I will alway use the Peel pads and buy Sunday Riley lactic acid. The $$$ spent is well worth the way my skin looks.
None of the products she mentioned would last only a month. I don’t use quite that many steps, but I do use quite a few and my routine adds up to close to that (it’s $340-ish, I was curious so I did the math), but almost everything I buy lasts at least six months, and my skin looks infinitely better and is much healthier than it used to be. I can afford it, so I do it. People blow money on far worse things. 🤷♀️
Youth to the People, Tatcha, Drunk Elephant, Ole Henrikson and Laneige are cruelty free. Not sure on the rest. I've used those brands and Sunday Riley's, which is also CF.
I did this video too on my channel, except I have super oily skin 😂 Do you know of a moisturizer I could use for oily skin, because my problem is after I cleanse and apply a moisturizer (the product claims to be oil-free) then 1) my face is more oily and 2) I break out more. I tried using a low amount of product and it kinda works. Love these vids!
I use a few different ones, depending on the situation (weather, time of day, if I need extra TLC, etc). Firstly, let me emphasize that hydration is important. It's possible for your skin to be oily and dehydrated all at once, and the more dehydrated your skin is, the oilier it can get. Once I added a lot of hydration to the mix, things got easier for me. You'll have to find what's right for you, but look for products with tea tree. I like Benton's Honest TT mist, and of course you'd need something in addition to that. There are some great hydrating products out there that can fit just about any price range. At Sephora, I like various products from Shiseido, Dr. Jart+, Belif, and Boscia. The trick is to add hydration one layer at a time until skin feels like it's good and plump, and THEN add your moisturizer. I heavily recommend both of the Belif "bomb" moisturizers for oily skin. The aqua bomb is lighter and good for daytime use or if the weather is really humid. If the weather is drier, I use the moisture bomb. I also use that at night if I want something heavier. If I want a sleep mask, I use a layer of (I kid you not) CeraVe's healing ointment. Just don't forget to wash it off in the morning. Another option for day or night is Dr. Jart's Cicapair cream. It feels a little heavy, but I've worn it even on humid days. It's great for sensitive skin. Don't shy away from a good moisturizer or even from oils at night. I find that, while it's counterintuitive, making sure my skin is good and pampered and moisturized at night prevents a lot of nasty oil slicks the next day. There are of course more affordable options. A nice lightweight option for moisture is Mizon's Snail Recovery Gel Cream. Benton has a Snail Bee Steam Cream that I love in addition to their high content essence, which is a holy grail hydration product for me. Also... Be aware of the cleanser you're using. If you're stripping your skin, oil can be a defense mechanism. Go for one that's low-pH. Sephora carries some great oil cleansers to help with removing makeup, but I've yet to find a cleanser I love there. Rather, I highly recommend Cosrx's Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, which I use at night mostly. In the mornings, I will typically just go over my face with a micellar water and forego a more thorough cleansing.
Sara You can use oils, grapeseed is my fave but jojoba is amazing too. They both are great at balancing sebum production. Search “treat acne with oils” in the search bar and there is a video where a korean girl explains everythingggg and i mean everything it’s so helpful and ever since i started using grapeseed oil my skin is clearer. 😁
I feel like this is a spoof of how many products we can squeeze into a nighttime regime 😂😂😂 How does it not all counteract? My skin would hate me after step 6 😂
And who said you had to use ALL the products? She's just recommending the ones she likes to use. No one is forcing you to buy them all. Pick and choose. Jesus.
I love how she shows different product functions and how they are super beneficial. NO you do not have to use all these products every day, but if you want to look like you're 10 years younger ..I MEAN HELLO. Basic chics ----> move that away
Everything she is using is expensive. But sometimes skin care is more important than makeup products especially for mature, textured or acne prone skin. Everything she is using works wonders; I use to have textured skin and no matter what I did makeup looked horrible on me. I started using the peel pads and now my skin is so smooth, well worth the money. Try to start with one product that meets the needs of your skin. I spent $$$ on the peel pads and use a $8.00 Neutrogena wash.
She has literally used $500 bucks all in her face I can't afford this expensive daily regiment because these products cost so much at Sephora, Sephora needs to start doing a give away and discounts with skin care products for beauty insider card holders. Show they're appreciation. I can't afford none of these products I wish I could though.

I love your videosSephora, but that’s just way too many products! 😯 I am feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it. 😑 You could have just asked the employee to talk about her morning and night routine. At least that would hav made the video more realistic.
Hersha Rele what would be the point of that? Just talk about the product but not show it being used? A lot of ppl on here complaining it's too much. So don't use them all then! It's not that hard. Maybe some ppl like to take the time and are able to afford it.
Velia Cardenas Why so defensive? The comments section is meant for us to comment. Since they are talking about a skincare routine, I just find it highly unrealistic.
Sorry ! I cannot believe some one put’s all that many products in ones 🤦♀️before bedtime ( ho has the time for this😳)and think that’s even good for your skin 🤨
This is crazy. Way too much money. Is her skin even absorbing all that? Or is her pillow just getting it all. 3 different face sprays/essences???? And that spray at the end doesn’t that just sit on top of the oil? Y’all just pushing products on us.
It may be way too much money for you; but for many Sephora shoppers, investing in high quality, effective skincare is not a sacrifice. I'm a teacher - not rich by any means - and I firmly believe in the importance of quality skincare that works.
Just FYI, the "Korean routine" isn't quite so cut and dry as a simple predefined 10 steps. Some routines have as many as 14 steps. Others can have as few as three steps. It's more about personalization and using more targeted products to address one issue at a time rather than an all-in-one that could contain ingredients that might not be needed and can unnecessarily irritate skin. The main focus is to make sure that you have a gentle but effective cleansing routing, hydrate, moisturize, and use sunscreen. Actives are of course introduced to address any issues like discoloration or acne, but before you get to any of that, most people start out with a first cleanser to remove makeup, a second gentle low pH cleanser to remove any residue and to actually clean the skin, a moisturizer, and a sunscreen. Once those four products have been established, you can introduce or remove products one at a time (with about 2-4 weeks in between so that you can observe results and note any problems) until you have your full routine the way you want it. Yes, this means that it takes a lot of time to get to a good 10 steps if that's what you're after, but then patience is a big part of it in the first place. You do after all have to wait several minutes after some steps while the products do their work. The whole idea of just grabbing 10 products and slathering it all onto your face without testing out each individual product is a very American approach to skincare.
I just wish people stop rubbing their skin care (except oil maybe) into their hands before putting it on their face. That’s just wasting a bunch of products to the palm of their hands. *sigh*
Too much products even for dry skin! I have dry skin and i love putting hydrating and moisturizing products that goes deep like serums and whatnot too. But this is just too much and i don't believe that this is her actual routine. Sorry to say it but u lost me here, Sephora...
It might be. It might not be. This is after all Sephora's chanel, so they're interested in featuring the products that they sell. So it's possible that they're featuring A routine instead of specifically HER routine. I'd be particularly skeptical if one person shows off a completely different routine than they showed a few weeks or months prior to that. For one thing, almost nobody completely changes our their routine like that. For another, even if they legitimately do that, completely overhauling your entire routine with a ton of new products in a short amount of time is a recipe for disaster. That's not to say there's anything particularly wrong with this routine (except that I'd highly recommend the grape water well before the moisturizer instead of after the oil, since the oil will prevent absorption of the grape water). But everyone's skin is different, even if you have the same skin type as someone else. It's much better to pick out one or two products you like and then test them out for yourself one at a time so that you know what's working and what's just being needlessly dumped on your face.
Katerina Spasova And you know what the funny thing is, all these "get unready with me" videos have different products in each of them. So which one do you follow? Which one is the most effective? Moreover, it makes me feel, it's just a way to promote products! Sad..
Oh and for anti-ageing, I was reading this study a British university did on all these lotions, most expensive and cheap ones. None of them made any difference in subjects. Dermatologists say, only retinoid is a drug that works which is available off the counter at a reasonable price. 🙄
Yeah! I dont believe that the truth serums gonna hydrate nothing its got drying alcohols and dimithicone which are on my list of pet peeves cuz they are both hella drying for the skin and I believe they can cause acne too. tatchaTends to use drying alcohols in just about everything I researched from that brand.not good!dont understand why u would put that in a oil or a lip product.if the point is to hydrate why would u put something thats gonna suck it right out?didnt like that lip mask it felt oily on my lips.that caudelie beauty mist doesnt hydrate the skin.its got drying alcohols.I dont see it serving any other purpose other than acting as a fragrance.
clam85 She's not stripping her skin clean. It literally says right on the title: "Dry AND textured skin", so the products like the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads that she used in the video are combating TEXTURE (bumps, whiteheads, blackheads) on her skin while adding moisture into her dry skin to BALANCE it out.
HelloI'mafruit she literally says that the cleanser leaves her skin squeaky clean which is not a good thing when your skin is dry. Chem peels are good when they are taylor made or prepared - strong cleanser are often counterproductive.
clam85 The phrase "squeaky clean" can just be an implication of her saying "my pores and skin overall feels clean". I don't think she meant it as stripping her skin dry. Most Chemical peels are fine. Lactic acid are very gentle and most ingredients like Green Tea acts like a natural exfoliant to the skin anyway.

I will be getting some of this thanks girl!
You are awesome, what a wonderful routine.
YAAAASSS DARLENE YOU KILLED IT
Do a tutorial on dry acneic skin!!!!!
HI! I have one question what's the main product I need for my face because I have very dry skin in my face? I'm just saying I'm on a budget ☺

SupaYoda oh myyyyyyy I just laughed so hard at your 1st sentence! So true 😆😆😆
And can you please start like tagging the products that are cruelty free??? 💜💜
I'm having trouble finding the right skin care products for my skin type. I have texture dry skin plus my skin is Soo sensitive to fragrances. Any suggestions? ty
I’m late with watching but yes. My skin is dry & textured so thank you.
You saved my LIFEEEEEEEEE GIRL!!!!!!!!!
I do the same routine!!!
excellent recs, thanks again Sephora! 🌺

🙌🏽🙌🏽 Yes Darlene!!! 💙💙
I love her💜🔮✨
Awesome 👏
When is the best to use the truth serum morning or night I don't want it for both.
Hi Ree, this would be based on personal preference, however, we do recommend using a serum both morning and night!
Great video. That's a lot of products! Are they all cruelty free? I added up the cost of the products and came to $511 before tax.
The essence is supposed to go on before anything else to make all your other products work better.
Great job, Darlene!
Wow I love it!!!
Good morning Sephora!
Great video!
Omg to many things to put in your face but thanks for your tips
Thank you so much for the suggestions! ❤️
Sara the video is in english btw not korean
??
I feel like this is a spoof of how many products we can squeeze into a nighttime regime 😂😂😂 How does it not all counteract? My skin would hate me after step 6 😂
If I could afford a skincare routine like this, I would look like a celebrity!!
Loved this 💕
everything added up is $511 not including taxes
if you want to have beautiful skin you better be working one hell of a job
Glad to know I am not the only one that was thinking to get my calculator out and see how much this just cost!!
And who said you had to use ALL the products? She's just recommending the ones she likes to use. No one is forcing you to buy them all. Pick and choose. Jesus.
Great video! However, too many steps and too much money.
Amazing!!! And this is why your face looks like a million bucks! You get what you pay for guys. 🤷🏼♀️Great job darlene👏🏼
Simplify #products?
Wow and I thought I used a lot of products lol nice tutorial tho
love it :)
That is so many products
I love how she shows different product functions and how they are super beneficial. NO you do not have to use all these products every day, but if you want to look like you're 10 years younger ..I MEAN HELLO. Basic chics ----> move that away
you Dominican?
👍🏼
why does she put oil after the moisturizer?makes no sense. thinner liquids go first to penetrate better.
That's a nice cleft chin! Never seen that on a woman be4!
I dont think I could ever follow through with using 11 producst every day.. Holy smokes thats a lot!!
Too much money 😂!! Thanks 😘
Ok bye
Danielle Joseph lo sé, todos mis skincare son de Sephora. Uso sunday Riley, drunkelefant, murad. I know girl.👍🏽
y apuesto a que tu piel se ve bien o está mejorando de cualquier problema que puedas haber tenido.
Danielle Joseph 100% 👌🏽uso pocos productos pero de calidad. Gracias!
She has literally used $500 bucks all in her face I can't afford this expensive daily regiment because these products cost so much at Sephora, Sephora needs to start doing a give away and discounts with skin care products for beauty insider card holders. Show they're appreciation. I can't afford none of these products I wish I could though.
The comments 🙄 please educate yourself before you talk crap, omg.

Shout Out to the NYC accent...
🙌🙌🙌👍
Way too many products! Very difficult routine for everyday not to mention expensive. Thanks for the video though.
I love your videosSephora, but that’s just way too many products! 😯 I am feeling overwhelmed just thinking about it. 😑
You could have just asked the employee to talk about her morning and night routine.
Since they are talking about a skincare routine, I just find it highly unrealistic.
too many products 😯
Awwwwwe the luxury of being single w/o KIDS. No way i would have time 2 do all this with folks running a muck😂.. but it was super nice 2 watch🤗...
Sorry ! I cannot believe some one put’s all that many products in ones 🤦♀️before bedtime ( ho has the time for this😳)and think that’s even good for your skin 🤨
Ras Alhannoet it’s perfectly fine and healthy for her skin. I have plenty of time to layer on products. Not everyone has the same routine 🤦🏻♀️
This is crazy. Way too much money. Is her skin even absorbing all that? Or is her pillow just getting it all. 3 different face sprays/essences???? And that spray at the end doesn’t that just sit on top of the oil? Y’all just pushing products on us.
Mary Cox haven’t you ever heard of the 10 step korean skin care routine?
Mary Cox yeah it’s called having dry skin sweetly people with dry skin to have mosturizer skin have to use alot
Deadass Tired I have dry skin. And I don’t use 12 products.
I suppose you either spend a hell of a lot of money on skincare to have good skin or that money on makeup to coverup ur bad skin😂
Super cute hair/lady, but if I hear literally one more time... Plus, who has this kind of time on their hands or money to buy all this stuff?
I just wish people stop rubbing their skin care (except oil maybe) into their hands before putting it on their face. That’s just wasting a bunch of products to the palm of their hands. *sigh*
O My God!!!! When u will stop???????? 😵😵
$555 for all this. O lord help me.
This is way too high maintenance for me.
Then don't do it.
It’s Sephora it’s going to be expensive and use alot
Katerina Spasova And you know what the funny thing is, all these "get unready with me" videos have different products in each of them. So which one do you follow? Which one is the most effective? Moreover, it makes me feel, it's just a way to promote products! Sad..
Oh and for anti-ageing, I was reading this study a British university did on all these lotions, most expensive and cheap ones. None of them made any difference in subjects. Dermatologists say, only retinoid is a drug that works which is available off the counter at a reasonable price. 🙄
The single best anti-aging product on the market is actually sunscreen. It's all about prevention.
You've said "literally" 6 times... 🙄
“I have dry skin” proceeds to strip her skin until it’s squeaky clean.
clam85 She's not stripping her skin clean.
