To keep the top of the draft interesting in these future mocks, I'd recommend: - Sending Fields a different location every time - Switching up what the Patriots do at #3 Just by making those two changes I think it gives enough variance to keep some entertainment factor at the top. of the class.
2:37 " The probability of Justin Fields becoming a top 10 QB fails in comparison to the probability of Caleb Williams becoming a top 5 QB". This is why you take Caleb. The probability of Caleb being both top 10 and/or top 5 is higher in both cases with Caleb, EVEN WITH the trade-down scenario + new OC taken into account.
As a Giants fan, I'm not sure about the trade. I dont mind the idea... but Steelers are always good so it'll be a later pick again next year. I'm suprised you didnt have them take the QB there.
It makes no sense. Tomlin always has a winning record. The Giants won’t be that bad to be near the top to get a QB. They always win games late in the year when they have bad seasons. The QB class isn’t as good next year as it is this year. This is ridiculous 😂
I said before last season even ended that despite his coaching greatness, Brian Daboll performed a _MASSIVE_ disservice to the Giants by making Jones seem like a starting-quality QB. I think his ego got the best of him & he thought "ANYONE who follows *My Commands* shall Become Great!" The footage proves otherwise, but ya gotta know where to find it. Daboll schemes receivers open, but Jones Will Not Throw To certain routes at all, nor past a certain distance, not without Massive Cajoling out of Daboll. Daboll can't hold his hand on the field like that. This is why Daboll yelled at him almost as much as Payton did at Russ.
@@choosecarefully408 You Giant fans are way off base if you think Daboll is a great coach and Jones is not a starting QB. Ridiculous. Ask yourselves if they ever fixed the offensive line. Answer: NO! They are the worst in the league at both run blocking and pass blocking. ... Ask yourself if they have given Jones a WR#1 or even a WR#2. Answer: NO! They have a bunch of 3s and 4s with nothing they can count on at TE either. Taylor and Devito had much better line play than what Jones had this past season and to state that it was the same OL is just ignorant. The Jones haters need to have their heads examined. Put any of these rookie QBs on this same team and the results will be even worse with no hope for improvement. Some of the venom and vitriol you all hurl at Jones is so hateful and off base I have to wonder whats in the water up there around the swamp. I wish they would end the Daboll experiment and get Belichick in there to fix this mess. Get a real coach who knows that a ball control offense starts with a QB under center and a consistent running game that can produce when we need them to. Play action does not work when you are always in shotgun and you haven't shown that you can run the ball at will. Put Jones on a team like the 49ers, the Cowboys, or the Eagles and I'd bet on him to outperform the current QBs. The Giants suck and you can't blame it all on Jones.
@@GBajek1968 Wasn't this year's o-line that hampered Jones the Same One that Tyrod Taylor & Tommy DeVito did better with? Yes. Yes it was. There goes your first argument. As for your assumption that I'm a Giants fan, I think that they're one of The Luckiest Franchises in the history of the NFL, the opposite of the Vikings & Chargers. Those guys under-perform when they've got the best talent. The Giants win super-bowls when they have nowhere _NEAR_ the level of talent as the rest of the teams in the playoffs. Name five _actually great_ Giants ever. I can't. I can do this for the Browns, Rams, Cardinals & _Lions_ but not the Giants. As for the rest, well the eye-test was confirmed when Brett Kollmann dropped his video on the subject. Now he _is_ a Giants fan & even said in the video that he didn't *like* what he was about to report on, but he couldn't deny it was there. & what it was was tons of footage showing Jones taking off & running when there were wide-open receivers & missing others completely whenever he threw long passes. All the footage was from '22. Y'all adjusted your expectations So Low that just having him not turn over the ball made him appear respectable. He's probably a little too good to say he's a back-up. But he's not a _lot_ too good to say that. Love his running ability. But a QB can't get by on it without also passing deep. He _was showing_ signs of coming out of refusing to do that. Then he got injured. But it took a *LOT* of Daboll yelling at him on the sidelines to get him to do it.
Even if you didn’t Mock Bowers to the colts, the fact that we’re speaking him falling to 15 into existence is amazing to me. If I’m the colts I take Bowers and throw money at CB in FA at all costs
@@lucasreid4443 Kind of. They do have a LOT of their own guys to resign. But I don’t think you can pass on Bowers. You take him and overpay for Sneed or Johnson in FA. Honestly it’s hard for me to imagine Ballard NOT viewing Bowers as a blue chip prospect, so if he’s the top guy left on their board I do think they take him.
As a Bears fan, I feel like Im being gaslit by Justin Fields fans. The fact is he has been nothing but a bottom tier starter across the board. I wanted him to work out as much as the next guy, but hes in the bottom 1/3 of pretty much every advanced passing stat. Last year when you were pushing for us to take Bryce Young, I genuinely wanted to give Fields a chance. I figured we can trade down and grab a bunch of picks and if Fields fails to impress in 2023, we can take a QB in 2024. Well here we are now in 2024 and Fields has shown nowhere near enough consistency to be given another year. I really hope we take the chance on Caleb.
I agree completely about Justin. He cannot process information quickly enough to be an above average QB. His fanboys think that better coaching is the answer, but you cannot coach processing speed.
I’m gonna be honest I don’t think odunze is anywhere near the freak alshon was. If we can’t get MHJ I’d rather draft an edge with the second first rounder and look to trade or pick up a big body receiver in free agency
Alston is nowhere close the athlete Odunze is, Rome is faster, better hands, 50/50 monster & DURABLE. DJ & Marshall aren't close either, DJ way more consistent, Yac, speed, hands, aren't that close. Not to mention the higher character & mental toughness DJ & Rome have, Not a good comp!
@@SageSea1 So im guessing you saw an offseason mock with us getting MIke Evans or something. Which would be fine, I guess (hes very old dont love bringing in short term guys with a rookie QB), but besides him there arent big body free agent receivers available lol. So if he comes back to the Bucs or wants to go play with stroud or mahomes or whoever, then that plan collapses. Odunze is great. Theres a reason the WR tiers this year are the top 3 and the rest.
Ive been interested in the idea of Fields and the #9 going to new england as the main pieces of a trade giving chicago MHJ and NE a qb and likely odunze. If NE likes fields (they just """interviewed""" luke getsy") i think there may be something there
Eagles fan here: I don't think they're gonna take a corner. I like Kool Aid a lot, and have no problem with this pick, but if we go into next season with our top four of Slay (still alright), Kelee Ringo, Avonte Maddox in the slot (never healthy, of course), and Isaiah Rodgers (suspended former Colts CB), that's not a terrible group. Sidney Brown was alright as a slot and safety backup; really what we need in the secondary is a safety or a slot guy who's not made of glass. (Also I think by cap we have to have Bradberry on the roster next year, so that's another slot taken up.) As for who we pick, I think we go OT to replace Lane, and I think we trade up for Amarius Mims or Fuaga.
As a giants fan I don’t think we trade out the pick if Daniels falls. Daniel Jones is not the future & I think the GM knew he wasn’t by giving him the contract where ge can get out of it after 2 years. This is DJ last year with us from the 2 major neck injuries to the torn acl to him folding when we put more responsibility as far as throwing the ball more on his plate. Yes we had the worst O Line in the league but our back up & 3rd string undrafted rookie still looked way better than him behind that same offensive line. I don’t think Daboll or Schoen is going let themselves lose their jobs behind a Qb they inherited. I think they go Qb & at worst make him sit behind DJ for a year if he could stay healthy & learn then give him the keys the year after. I just can’t see them passing on the Heisman winner
Agreed. Also don’t see them trading back that far if they do trade back. Atlanta is just as likely to want to preserve their QB rookie contract window by moving up for JD as opposed to settling for Fields. Giants would still have a ton of options at 8 and can go BPA.
@@jeremyarodriguez even if they want to go OLine at 6 we’re not in position as bad as the OLine was to pick the 3rd or 4th best tackle in the draft when we could get the 2nd or 1st best in the class
@@ggo7269 Yeah for sure. I think a talent like Nabers would better better served at that pick equity if he's there. We may find great value in the trenches with one of our 2nd round picks. But who knows! Go GMEN!
Giants fan here, this shit pissed me off so much I hate to end my shower early. TRADE BACK TO TWENTY WITH DANIELS FALLING LMAO WHAT THE FUCK. Man I want to see Daboll with his guy and Daniels could be it man
As soon as you elected to trade out of the 6th overall spot with Jayden Daniels right there, I was out. Giants aren't doing that. They did that before, trading down and missed out on getting Micah Parson. They would be foolish to pass up on Daniels if he right there.
Really appreciate the thought you put into your mocks, best one I have seen so far in early draft season. As a Bears fan walking away with Caleb , Rome and an early second to get a center, hopefully Powers-Johnson if he's there ( and two thrid rounders ) is such an exciting scenario. Especially with them still sitting on a lot of cap money to go get a star edge. The big need is re-signing Jaylon Johnson .
As a Steelers fan, I'll say that a move like this either needs to happen this year, or next year. Considering Canada was the OC, they might decide to give him one more year, and fill other holes in the roster like T and CB early. But something like this needs to happen anyways, it's just about when.
I agree for trading up for a qb NEXT year. For now get a qb in free agency or much later in the draft. use top picks to fill holes (CB or T in round 1 and ILB and center within 2,3,4 rounds). This season is essential for qb evaluation. So Allow kenny and Rudolph compete in their new offensive system. We dont know Kenny full potential post-canada. If either one works out, lets draft cams replacement in 2025
Steelers fan here, First off, I feel like both teams wouldn't make that trade in the first place. Giants need OT and QB plus the Steelers don't make too many big trades. Second, they're not ready to move on from Kenny. Yes, Mason did look better and earned that spot but he's still a free agent. I doubt that Pitt will draft another 1st round QB after 2 years, they'll loyal to their guys. Steelers have other spots to fill such as C, LB, and CB. I see them going for the best corner available whether it's Arnold, McKinstry, or DeJean.
Lol it would be the giants that would take jayden daniels, his plan makes no sense, why would we pass up on a qb just to trade our future picks to draft a different qb later
I don't want Kenny starting either, I'm just trying to be realistic. Like I said, Steelers are loyal to their players. If they do draft a QB, I think they'd go for Nix, Penix, or McCarthy depending on who's still there.
Love the first mock! I agree Caleb is a no brainer. 4th best qb in the division isn’t gonna win u a division crown. U have to look big picture that means getting in the playoffs year after year and fighting for a SB. Fields could maybe become top 10 maybe. When Caleb’s floor and ceiling is way higher.
Fields ceiling is like 15th best QB in the league cause there's always new talent coming in every year and as he ages and presumably gets better at the drop back game, his rushing ability will diminish.
Dude I was kinda thinking the same thing with nix and Purdy. Nix has more athletic and arm strength upside for sure. But Purdy is better under pressure and has great anticipation.
Oof just saw the Ravens pick - I wouldn't hate Benson in a trade back but I think you're overestimating our roster in a few spots that there will probably still be good players available at. I think best available WR, OT, CB, or EDGE gotta be the pick if we stick at 30-32. WRs under contract next year: Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Tylan Wallace EDGE under contract: Odafe Oweh, David Ojabo, Tavius Robinson (Tyus Bowser near guaranteed cut) OT and CB are more futureproofing picks. Stanley isn't playing up to his contract and Moses are aging, meanwhile Brandon Stephens has one year left and all our vet depth is leaving after this year. Probably spent too many words on a mock draft in January but I just wanted to point out how much depth this team is losing for 2024. Great vid as always
Giants fan here. I love this trade package with Pittsburgh. It gives you the picks to build the roster and it also gives you the picks in case Daniel Jones doesn't work out.
@@Tony_Baudelaire01key problem there we don’t need a QB we have Kenny we need to give him some time to play without Matt Canada he only played one game and ended up throwing for like 300 yards we also have Mason who shows that he can play ball. Also we need ILB, CB or OT
@@fireball_213 OT/CB should be #20. There isn't any ILB worth a 1st rnd pick this year. Steelers will most likely address that in FA. Possibly Patrick Queen if Baltimore doesn't franchise him.
I think "confectous energy" may be my favorite misspeak I've heard from you. Wiggins is sweet like confectioneries, a real sweetheart in the locker room!
Bro seeing the Steelers trading up to 6 with the giants and taking Jayden Daniels made me cream my pants so hard in front of my family 😭 I hope you're happy TFG
As far as the Colts go, if Bowers is available at that pick you have to pick him. The Colts are one truly great playmaker away from having one of the best offenses in the league, and pairing Bowers and Richardson together is almost a match made in heaven everywhere but most especially in the red zone. I don't disagree that CB is probably a bigger need, and the difference between our current best CB and CB1 or 2 of this draft is huge, but you just can't pass up Bowers.
The staff probably still believe in Jelani Woods... although being out all year for an harmstring is kinda weird. Its a shame we dont know where he's at in his developpement
@@Parkwaydr1ve There's good reason to believe in Jelani Woods, but even if he's everything you hop ehe can be you still get Bowers. That's just the kind of player he is.
Honestly, if the falcons pick up Justin fields, I sincerely hope they draft a WR at 8. Get a good solid WR#2 to run with drake london and take some pressure off of him and set our offense on fire. Our Defense was fine last year, yeah it needs some help but what they really need is to not have to be on the field all the time making huge stops. If we get a good WR2 with fields it could be game changing.
Giants are better off getting Jayden Daniel's. QB Class next year's doesn't look too good plus they would be getting a late 1st rd pick from pits. DJ has multiple injuries and he's a average qb.
I don’t disagree (but I kinda do😊) I think the giants could pretty easily be next years panthers where they ruin a qb by putting them behind a bad o line and not giving him weapons. Idk if Daniels could overcome that. If you go with a trade back, you could tank and build for the future instead of just taking a qb when you can’t support him.
@mandomerlie1997 Borrow and CJ both came to there teams with bad ol look how that turned out. Plus giants need a RG and there line will be fine. We've drafted more ol then any other team since 2018.. Good Qb can make bad ol look better. You address the most important position in all sports 1st, and build around it.
❤️ Yes, hope Omar Khan and coach T. would agree with you. The Daniel’s trade is expensive BUT the talent and potential would merit the investment. Nice call Mr. FG. 🖤💛
I see what you saying, but all the other holes we have can be filled this offseason Using the draft with our talent evaluation. As for free agency, def get a safety but save money to extend the essential players like james Daniels If we do this we will be a qb away
One really interesting part about the Falcons is that there’s a myriad of things they could do with that pick, whether it be EDGE, QB, WR, or another sneaky option. Can’t wait to see what Raheem and Terry choose here.
Giants fan here, this is my take on passing on Jayden Daniels(I really hope he's still there) The big allure of Brian Daboll as our HC was the way he developed Josh Allen and he even brought in Kafka at OC that helped Mahomes. Before he showed he was a really good coach, that was our hope worth holding on to; finally getting a franchise QB. Joe Schoen's drafts have been less than stellar and we're entering year 3. Everyone with a brain prior to the Daniel Jones signing knew it was a bad move and now even the brainless can see it. This is a make or break year for both Daboll and Schoen. Daboll being on the hot-seat without ever being given a fair chance to mold his own high-upside QB is a travesty. They NEED to get their QB this year because if they don't, their QB situation if going to exacerbate all the other issues with the roster to the point they are both out of a job by years end.
I don't see Daboll on the hot seat (maybe wishful thinking). He overachieved his first season and even won a playoff game. His second season was rocked with injuries. His starter QB was often injured. Not that he was playing well but name another team that lost their starter QB and the coach was put in the hot seat. Having said that, I would love for them to get Daniels with the 6th pick.
@@Oezeo I think most reasonable people think Daboll should be safe, us included. Unfortunately I don't trust Mara or our the erratic fanbase. The internal rumors/struggles don't help matters either.
I just typed this elsewhere on this page, i think that Daboll thinks he can transform All QBs with his own Superior Coaching. This blinds him. He's _really_ done a disservice to the Giants making him look like a starting QB last season. They should trade for Fields when the draft starts if no one else does. I feel as if the coaches on the Bears have deliberately sabotaged him & that like with McDermott in Buffalo, no one on the team will speak of it 'cause they're scared to.
@@choosecarefully408 The Daniel Jones situation already makes the fields trade look like a yikes for the giants they need to get a rookie qb and cut jones next year to kind of fix the cap and Daboll made TOMMY DEVITO look like a decent qb so he probably is a really good qb developer it's just Daniel Jones was broken when he got there
@@ZionOverHeaven Whatever the reason, with Jones we seem to have a situation where the HC wasn't trying to make him follow "My Way or the Highway" but where the guy seriously seemed to be trying to win. Not the case with Fields. There's a lot of conjecture involved, but if Joe Burrow suddenly started to stare at instead of throw to open receivers, how may times would he have to do so before they'd take him out of a game for concussion protocol? Three max? So what does it tell us that No One on the Bears said boo? I mean the owner supposedly wants the team to win: the OC's job depends upon the offense succeeding regardless of whether the D holds up its end. If Fields had some sort of mental issue that causes him to not pass to open receivers, why do they keep putting him in as the starter? It's an amazing psychological trick that Eberflus pulled by just Never Mentioning It until all the fans accepted it as normal when it can't be. If he did this really this inconsistently, then they'd HAVE to sit him down. The GM may now face a career-ending choice of replacing what he already has if he's fixable. & if they trade Fields elsewhere & he succeeds, won't they be unable to get work anywhere else once they're done in Chicago? With Daboll we can _see_ he's trying to Help Jones _AND_ win. If it's for his own ego or the pride one gets in helping others, he's doing that. The suggestion to get Jones to run With Confidence instead of as a last resort & possibly feeling like a failure when he does was perfect for him. Then he lost confidence in his arm. Daboll got frustrated with this, sure, but he did _TRY_ to get Jones out of that phase. With Eberflus, if we listen to him in post-game conferences, His Ego makes sure everyone knows that he makes All Decisions, which doesn't make sense for a guy with no background in offense. But it makes clear that All The _Choices_ are his. So when they abandon what works like the designed QB rushes that made the Bears the #1 O for a few weeks last season, that ain't Fields & it ain't the OC. When they return to bad o-line schemes that allowed edge rushers easy access to sack Fields, that's him too. The Bears' owners provide No Oversight to their GM & HC & those guys are treating that franchise like their own playground. They made up their minds to get rid of all locker-room leaders & key players from the old régimes. They want Fields out, & they couldn't DO that if he was Any Good. They set him up to fail. I'm not saying I _know_ he can be great, but at least on a team that was trying to win, not to manipulate things for Other Purposes, we'd know. I'd _LOVE_ to see the Broncos try to trade for him _AND DJ MOORE_ (by packaging Jeudy), maybe the Falcons now that Smith isn't the HC, but my best scenario is the Cleveland Browns. Think of it: they don't know if DTR can ever be NFL-ready. They're stuck paying Watson regardless of if he *dies* & there's no way of knowing if he can EVER return to form. But if they trade for Fields how unstoppable do the Browns become? Sorry Ravens. I'm a huge LJ8 fan but i _want_ to see what Fields can do. & hey, if the NFL realigns the divisions properly, you wouldn't be _in_ the AFCN anyway. Ahh, off-season. Isn't speculation FUN?
Great stuff, brother. Substantially better content than your current sub count. One of my favorite new draft guys... looking forward to you future vids. Also, could not agree more on Nabers, I've been screaming this all year. My Commanders take Maye but I'm a tad nervous, that delivery is hard to love. I do think if Ben Johnson comes into town he could do quite a bit with the kid, so we shall see.
Go Seahawks! I’m so curious what we’re going to do with our pick. I’d be happy with a QB, I’d be even happier with a D lineman like Jer’Zhan Newton. Edit: if Bowers is available he’d be an obvious pick, but I doubt that 15 teams will pass up on him
As someone who also does mock drafts on TH-cam, I love seeing how everyone else views players and just imagining all 32 GMs thinking the same things. Players you didnt even have in the 1st that I think are locks are Tez Walker, Newton from Illinois, Leonard Taylor, Chop Robinson towards the back half. I love the difference in opinions and evals man
@@jsph6Daniel jones isn’t good it’s time to move on shoen made it a 2 year deal for a reason. Plus the guy was having his worst season while suffering more serious injuries
Great mock, I will say that as a Steelers fan we just have too many holes to actually make that trade. We need a new center, a CB to pair with JPJ, some more attention on the d-line, a true WR3 and another linebacker. We will probably only have 12 mil in cap space by cutting Okoafor and Trubisky so we will have to use the draft to address those needs. I think that the organization is going to bring Rudolph back and have him battle it out with Pickett. I know that the QB situation is a bit questionable, but let's see what a competent OC can do with those two. Pickett threw for a gazillion yards against the Bengals the game after Canada's firing and then went 7/10 in the rain against the Cards before going out with injury so we don't know what Kenny's production would look like. The Steelers didn't start Pickett because they were riding the hot hand with Rudolph because he was putting out 3 straight games of a 110+ rating. I like Jayden Daniels as a prospect but the draft compensation is too much given the holes on the Steelers roster and the win now mentality to capitalize on TJ Watt and Cam Heyward's window.
Those other needs u talk about don’t really need to be addressed in the first round. Getting a good QB is a lot more important. Jayden gives you a hell of a lot more juice than Rudolph and Pickett. And can help solidify the run game even more as a strength of the team. Also Steelers like throwing outside the numbers and that’s where Jayden is best at. If ur fine with JPJ at the one, there’s some good CB2 or higher level prospects that can be available later in the draft or in free agency. Also u got Cory Trice last year who’s in the same mold of JPJ. Might end up making an impact after being injured this whole year. But that’s really the only spot I’d use a 1st on for them this year. Either that or a tackle to pair with Broderick Jones.
@@wardog211I agree that Daniels would help offensively, my point is that the picks that would be given up are not just worth it. I like Trice as well, but it would be too risky to fully believe that he would be able to handle CB2 snaps maybe he will but I don't think it's entirely likely. A Kool-aid, JPJ, and Trice CB room would be super entertaining come to think of it 😂.
Love your content! In the spirit of your "what I would do" mocks; you are Chicago, you are willing to trade out of #1. What are you asking for? What teams in the league have the ammo of picks or players to pay the asking price for #1?
I don't think there's any way the Bears are trading the #1 pick for the 2nd year in a row. As a Bears fan, I think you have to pick Caleb and move on from Fields. Fields got a bad shake here, but CW appears to be too good to pass up, especially after watching what Stroud did this year.
As a Vikings fan, I’ve heard there were a ton of rumors that the Vikings tried to trade up to 3 to get Richardson but the Cardinals wouldn’t deal and go that low, I have a feeling that they could trade up to take Daniels and leapfrog some other teams honestly.
A main reason I didn't do that is Daniels is abysmal, at best, at attacking the middle of the field which is a huge part of the Vikings Off. I wouldn't be that high on Daniels if I were O'Connell
Richardson was a better prospect than Daniels tho, higher potential at least. And they thought they could have a year to sit him behind Kirk. If Kirk is back maybe put Jayden behind him but there’s some concerns there.
@@ThatFranchiseGuy Penix also struggled throwing over the middle, in part due to his touch/placement issues. Curious to hear your thoughts on why Penix might be a better fit for the Vikings than Nix, who you have going 12 to Denver. Using 4 QBs this season, we got to see a lot of traits that work and don't work in KOC's system. I just have a feeling that Kwesi uses that information on finding the next QB, and in my view Nix is a great fix for the Vikings assuming we want to keep a lot of the same concepts that we used this season (obviously some concepts have to change based on personnel). Dobbs's mobility worked. Mullens ability and willingness to attack intermediate and deep worked. Hall's indecisiveness didn't work. Kirk works, but his contract doesn't. It really feels like Nix checks an extra box or two that Penix doesn't, plus medicals.
I agree that Nix would be a great fit for Sean Payton. It might be a little high to draft him at number twelve but the fit might be good enough that you make sure you get him.
I hate to say it, but the vikings need a corner as well, I feel like we've needed a corner for like 20 years now, but maybe we can trade back, snag Arnold or Wiggins and maybe a day 2 edge or DT.
I could see the Vikings moving up to #6 for Jayden Daniels. Re-sign Kirk to short term extension and have Daniels sit behind him for a year or two. Your thoughts?
I think it comes down to how much he's asking for. They also have so many pending big time deals to try and make in the near future. Derrisaw, Hunter, Jefferson. Hard to make that happen without a rookie QB contract.
if you can resign kirk why rush is my only like...hmm. yk? question, would you rather have Jayden at 6 if you may end up being able to take a flyer on fields, Howell, Pickett, Mac Jones with a day 2 or 3 pick? maybe sit where you are and just take JJ possibly? is the gap that wide? i guess it depends on the trade value, but yk?
@@zackhurwitz9441 they could actually reduce their cap hit if they extend Cousins. His dead cap is around $38 million. I’m happy you responded but I’m really interested in what Marcus has to say
@@tvtda1 because they need a future quarterback. Kirk doesn’t have that many years left so drafting a rookie quarterback and letting him sit and learn behind Kirk makes sense to me. I don’t think any of the free agents you mentioned are better than the Vikings backups. I think drafting a quarterback in round 2 or 3 makes more sense than the free agents you mentioned. None of them has really panned out
@@robertharrie4513 i get it im just saying when we look back now we see, AR is a generational athletic freak HWS wise which is what tempted them to offer so much to get him but also it's what got them rejected to an extent for him. i really think Jayden is a closer comparison to Bryce in many ways. I'm not saying BY isn't their type. i'm saying more that Jayden isn't gonna be everyones cup of tea, especially analytically. in many ways he's especially comparable to Kenny Pickett. thats why if you got Pickett later and cheaper that's a more efficient move.
I call Justin Fields Ryan Fitzpatrick with wheels… His legs give him more consistency but he’s a dice roll every week; he has looked liked a top 10 guy at times but there’s an equal amount of times when I’m questioning why he’s not in the CFL 😭
11:38 as a giants fan, I think they should take the tackle out of Penn St yes. Would I be ok with trading back? Maybe, the giants have done this recently and gotten burned. I don’t think they should take a QB in round 1 with Jones going no where this year.
I think caleb in a couple years might be top 8 or so. Currently he has wayyyyyy too much of the josh allen superman ball in him currently and his time to throws in college has been over 1 sec longer than what it will be in the NFL so can he adjust and start getting the ball out quickly and to the proper target? We will see. Chicago absolutely has to take him though, fields isnt good enough to pass.
You asked what Giants fans think - here’s my opinion- why would the Giants trade out of that spot to let another team take a QB? When the Giants also need a QB? Doesn’t make a lick of sense to me
as a Pats fan i’m terrified they’re going to take Daniels at 3, and not because I don’t think he’ll be good but this roster (especially on offense) is AWFUL and it could so easily be Bryce Young round 2. Or Mac Jones round 2 for that matter, guys who were set up to fail
Steelers trading for Daniels would be fantastic! I’m just nog sure the Giants would shop the pick, though. And the Steelers being this aggressive to make such a big jump up the draft seems unlikely. They are also loyal to a fault at times, so I’m thinking they’ll bring in washed up Russell Wilson to challenge Pickett for the starting job before taking a big swing like this. Ironically, that why we’ll not get close to another Super Bowl anytime soon. The Steelers are never bad enough to draft that high, and rather settle for 9-10 wins with Kenny. The Steelers need to seriously improve at QB, because the AFC is loaded with great QB’s. The defense can only carry the team so far in today’s league.
Being a cardinals fan, I’ll be happy with Malik if Marv isn’t on the board, wouldn’t mind a trade down and tackle selection either, I Love Marv and definitely might shed a tear if we land him but can’t get the hopes up when we are picking #4
As a Chiefs fan, I’m not super high on Mitchell. Very few receivers go R1 with sub 2.0 YPRR. Much higher on Franklin, I think he’s a better deep threat, which we desperately need to complement rice and his over the middle YAC playstyle.
As a Steelers fan (knowing Maye and Williams would be unrealistic) Daniels and Travis (late pick) are the only QBs I want in this draft. I'm more optimistic on Pickett, but I'd make that trade to the Giants in a heartbeat
Steelers fan checking in, I love the trade, gotta go big or go home with the amount of money invested into the defense and the draft capital on offense. Love the mock!!
When you go to the Shrine Bowl keep an eye out for Elijah Klein, OL from UTEP. Went to high school with him. He’s a great dude and a beast on the field

To keep the top of the draft interesting in these future mocks, I'd recommend:
- Sending Fields a different location every time
- Switching up what the Patriots do at #3
Just by making those two changes I think it gives enough variance to keep some entertainment factor at the top. of the class.

2:37 " The probability of Justin Fields becoming a top 10 QB fails in comparison to the probability of Caleb Williams becoming a top 5 QB".
This is why you take Caleb. The probability of Caleb being both top 10 and/or top 5 is higher in both cases with Caleb, EVEN WITH the trade-down scenario + new OC taken into account.
you'd be surprised how many Bears fans are delusioned on twitter into believing that Fields is the guy and we shouldn't take Williams
The hive is strong with this one.
One of the best mocks I’ve seen so far. Keep it up
As a Giants fan, I'm not sure about the trade. I dont mind the idea... but Steelers are always good so it'll be a later pick again next year.
I'm suprised you didnt have them take the QB there.
disgusting
As a Colts fan who understands how bad our secondary is, I'll be pissed if Brock falls to us, and we don't take him.

We will take whoever has the best RAS score in the combine lol, happens every year.
I starting to think people just don’t like Caleb it makes no sense to me
I agree completely about Justin.

Especially with them still sitting on a lot of cap money to go get a star edge. The big need is re-signing Jaylon Johnson .
If I’m the Pats, I’m sending a 2nd and future 4th to the Bears for Fields after taking Marv. I think it could be a really good fit.

First off, I feel like both teams wouldn't make that trade in the first place.

WRs under contract next year: Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Tylan Wallace
EDGE under contract: Odafe Oweh, David Ojabo, Tavius Robinson (Tyus Bowser near guaranteed cut)
OT and CB are more futureproofing picks. Stanley isn't playing up to his contract and Moses are aging, meanwhile Brandon Stephens has one year left and all our vet depth is leaving after this year.

Im surprised you didn’t consider taking Jayden Daniels for the giants
One really interesting part about the Falcons is that there’s a myriad of things they could do with that pick, whether it be EDGE, QB, WR, or another sneaky option. Can’t wait to see what Raheem and Terry choose here.
Giants fan here, this is my take on passing on Jayden Daniels(I really hope he's still there)
The big allure of Brian Daboll as our HC was the way he developed Josh Allen and he even brought in Kafka at OC that helped Mahomes.

Also we will almost for sure be cutting Allen Robinson
As a steelers fan. I like it. We desperately need a QB
@@ThatFranchiseGuy Ok, that makes sense, do you think they could go for Maye and trade up to 3 if Daniels ends up going 2?
Fields sucks!
Explain
There are rumors that Kwesi tried to move up to draft Anthony Richardson last year and to me Daniels is similar to him so I could see them moving up to try to draft him.
Sucks for Howell to be replaced by Maye again.

I call Justin Fields Ryan Fitzpatrick with wheels… His legs give him more consistency but he’s a dice roll every week; he has looked liked a top 10 guy at times but there’s an equal amount of times when I’m questioning why he’s not in the CFL 😭
Or a poc Daniel Jones
Doesn’t make a lick of sense to me
Rome Odunze and Caleb Williams on the same team would be bonkers!
Keaton Mitchell + Benson + Gus Bus in the redzone for the Ravens would be scary next year
As a Raider fan, I’m all for us going right tackle in round 1, but what do you see us doing as far as QB? Draft, FA, or stick with AOC?
You don’t think Chop Robinson goes in the first?
as a Pats fan i’m terrified they’re going to take Daniels at 3, and not because I don’t think he’ll be good but this roster (especially on offense) is AWFUL and it could so easily be Bryce Young round 2. Or Mac Jones round 2 for that matter, guys who were set up to fail
DRAFT SEASON IS UPON US. #KEEEEEEPPOUNDING
Broncos fan. Draft season for us started over a month ago lol. Love the Nix pick though. Solid work as always and looking forward to many more!
Jags should snag tee Higgins
Being a cardinals fan, I’ll be happy with Malik if Marv isn’t on the board, wouldn’t mind a trade down and tackle selection either, I Love Marv and definitely might shed a tear if we land him but can’t get the hopes up when we are picking #4
As a Chiefs fan, I’m not super high on Mitchell. Very few receivers go R1 with sub 2.0 YPRR. Much higher on Franklin, I think he’s a better deep threat, which we desperately need to complement rice and his over the middle YAC playstyle.
As a steeler fan, trading up for a QB is ESSENTIAL unless one magically falls to us so I completely agree.
The title is so accurate! Im so HYPE!!!! Cant wait for all the content. This is THEE premium content of TFG
Aren't you aware that the Raiders need a QB?
Saquon to Baltimore confirmed?
Hi, Steelers fan here. I’d be happy with this but my one gripe is that we could probably give up less to get Justin fields
As a Steelers fan (knowing Maye and Williams would be unrealistic) Daniels and Travis (late pick) are the only QBs I want in this draft. I'm more optimistic on Pickett, but I'd make that trade to the Giants in a heartbeat
jaire alexander made a goodbye post icymi! so cb would b bigger than u think in the first round for gb
Bro we trade back passing up Daniels just to take another slower footed big tackle who would be a better guard?
Steelers fan checking in, I love the trade, gotta go big or go home with the amount of money invested into the defense and the draft capital on offense. Love the mock!!
Will you love it if Daniels is a bust?
When you go to the Shrine Bowl keep an eye out for Elijah Klein, OL from UTEP. Went to high school with him. He’s a great dude and a beast on the field
Can you contextualize your previous year’s QB draft prospects as a retrospective? I’d love to see some compare contrast against the new QB draft class.
Bryce Young was super high on your list last year, how does Caleb stack against Bryce as a prospect this year?
Also, I’m not here questioning your assessment of Bryce Young, the Panthers Org has to deal with being owned by David Tepper, not Bryce’s fault.
Great stuff TFG
