Nice video Dan. Shame more people don't practice this method, it seems to be all long pole but I love whip fishing can be very effective as you have shown
Is that a drennan whip. Do love a bit of whip fishing as now and then I suffer with pain in forearm and wrist so have to stop fishing for carp tench cos it puts too much strain on my arms and wrist. So thank god for whip fishing. Is there a whip that can take light elastic so I can fish for my fave fish perch. Does anyone own or know of one plz
Barry Boyd hi, yes you can buy a whip and elasticate it. Just cut the tip back to take a bush then elasticate as you would a pole, alternatively remove the tip section then put a bush in. I think you are better buying a short pole though which can be really cheap and are more versatile. If you look on my TH-cam site you will see a video on the short pole very soon. Regards

Nice video. Query what is the percentage mix of the leam/groundbait?
Glad you like the video. About 70/30 in favour of groundbait.
Hi dan we're did you get the gear and bait from
Last year my uncle had a small pike around a pound on a 4m whip, I don't think it realised it was even hooked!! 😂
Love to fish like this great for those quality Silvers most cast over for their Carp ;-)
love your vid. Scenery is great too. Anyone ever have a carp on this type of whip and land it too?
