Great video! I have a 1000 3 seater but it can’t go where it’s little brother can! The more I’m around the 500/520’s the more amazed I am. They are like little mountain goats here in WV.
I think it would be great for hunting. Very reliable and it goes well in a lot of different terrain. Mine is still doing great and I ride it way harder than its intended to.
Check out the tusk brand tires on Rocky Mountain ATV MC website. Pick the one best suited for your riding conditions. They are really great tires and not over priced. I have a set of tusk mega bites on mine. Those suckers are mean, great traction on loose hard pack, mud, rocks, dirt. They hold air great too. I had some ITP’s that would loose air over night. I’m 100% satisfied. They will tear up your yard though if you drive it around in the yard.
You still liking your 520? I just put a deposit on a moose brown 520 should be getting it early December. Did you get yours for work or play? I see a lot of videos saying it’s good for work and the occasional trail ride but I bought mine primarily for trail riding so I hope it’s fun lol.
I have 2017 P500 and love it…most of the time. Rough ride, loud and lacking clearance but tough little machines that are a lot of fun. You did a fantastic job with the video capturing all angles of riding a 500/520. Really good for hunting as easy quick in and out is needed. Towed any Polaris’s lately? :)
Thanks!! They are a ton of fun. Is a rough ride though. I have not towed any Polaris’s lately. But my eyes are open for any opportunity that may arise. The little pioneers will climb a tree!
@@crfamily6946 I could not tell much of a difference. I removed it to give the rear a more "independent" feel. I ride in rough rocky sections at rather lower speeds than high speeds. So having more independence in the rear seems more beneficial to me than having a sway bar.
Do you prefer riding the Pioneer 500 or the ATV? …. Just curious now that you’ve had the chance to ride and experience both… if you had it to do over again would you the pioneer or get an ATV?
I like both. If I was by myself riding I’d want an ATV. But my wife likes to go and she’s not really an off road operator so the pioneer allows her sit a little more comfortably and conveniently
Finally a video where people actually ride their pioneers
Thanks!!
Just bought a new 23 500. It's a tank. Love it. Only thing they need is more ground clearance
They are great machines! I agree with needing more ground clearance. I put 27 inch tires on mine and it helped a little bit
26 inch ripsaws and a front torque locker= a goat awesome

Thank you! I am sure your 1000 is a nice machine! But yes the 500s are very impressive in regards to capabilities. Thanks for commenting!
Beautiful country there. Beautiful riding
Thank you. That’s one of my all time favorite places.
Have been looking at a 2023 500 as an alternative to a Rancher to be used as a hunting rig. After seeing your video and its capabilities im sold. 👍

We have a 2018 Pioneer 500. Loved the video!
They are fun! Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Looks like a good time!
Yes, a lot of fun! Thanks!
Cool video..just seen the location on your intro
Thanks!
Just got a Moose brown 520 and love it except the 24s that come on it are a joke. What is a good reasonably priced replacement???

@@DrewCreate. With a few mods this thing is awesome
Nice video thinking about treading my rzr 800 for one of thoes
Great video, i really enjoyed it.
Thanks!
GoPro doesn’t do the terrain justice! Video turned out sweet though! Be a good day to look back on in our later years.
You are right about the terrain. And heck yeah be fun to look back on. Good memories
Cool video !! Beautiful state to go riding in !
Thanks! I agree, western NC is very beautiful
I thought that looked like the Asheville area. Rhododendron along the creek gave it away for me. Beautiful area
What size tires are you guys running, I'm looking to buy a pioneer soon
I run 27 inch tall. The back is 12 inches wide and front is 10 wide. On stock 14 inch wheels
Thanks!
Did you notice a pretty big power loss?

Nice! Great vid
Thanks! I appreciate it
wondering what kind of tire set up you have on your pioneers Also wondering if you removed your rear swaybar?
Tusk megabite tires size 27-9-12 front 27-11-12 rear. Great tires. I’m very pleased with them.
Also, yes sway bar is removed
@@JustinBiddixwhat is the benefit to removing the sway bar? Greater ground clearance but sacrifice stability?

Ale yeah
Do you folks find the pioneer 500 has plenty of power for its size.
Yes

What part of the country are you in ? looks like WV ?
Close. Western NC. That’s Brown Mountain
Go pro just shows pioneer going up and down don’t show terrain!! Maybe give it to ur co pilot instead driving one handed
End of video much better
Thanks!
I got my fat tale up and ran down the trail and filmed while my buddy drove.
