Did my first rappel in a swiss seat harness, 75 feet free. And yes you need to make sure it is tight and adjusted properly. You can also rappel off webbing if done properly. .
I purchased about 35' of this several years ago thinking I was going to use it on my hammock, which didn't happen. When I saw your vid, I pulled it out of storage and was very glad to finally have a use for it. I know you said you carry 25' just curious but do you see any reason to cut the 35' piece I have.
Every bit as relevant today as it was in 2013!

Great Video, brought back some memories of my military days that I had forgotten. Its true what they say, "use it or lose it"
I have two 25' lengths in my kit that I use as hammock straps.
Great vid! Will definitely add this to my kit.
Useful stuff for sure! I met Shay (SP?) from 88 Tactical once in Omaha when I worked up there. It was during the College World Series. Good Dude.
He is a very good dude. Very down to earth.
Lots of good info Terry. Like that pack!
Great info, I am going to get some webbing for my kit. Nice model 1!
Good ideas for a versatile piece of kit. Thanks for sharing it.
Ropes and knots are sometimes like magic. (I'm not very experienced, obviously....)
In America it is called woodsmanship !
Well done Terry. Very cool lesson thanx for it
Excellent Terry! Thank you!

allemander Your welcome
Great stuff as always !
Thanks for sharing. Would this work for dragging deer out of the woods?
You bet.
Hi Terry, what kind of weave is that you have the tubing end in the beginning with the carabiner.
That is called a daisy chain. Do a search and you''ll find it. It is very easy to learn and tie.
Great info
Thanks Terry
I want to try it for moving water.
Cool vid once again!

The only concern would be weight. I really don't obsess about it, but to some people it is a big deal.
Good stuff, thanks again Terry! jorg0370
