“In war, you learn to demonize your enemies. Because if they aren’t the bad guys. What does that make you?”
    -Vanessa Kimble
I love this quote because it is the pure truth of war. We demonize the enemy to compensate for the horrific things you’ve done in was. But they are all human, they hurt. Bleed and feel pain, remorse. Young men wanting to go home. They demonize the enemy and see them as inhuman. Both sides are the same in the end. They may demonize the enemy but they do it because the fight for what the believe in. They fight to protect the ones behind them from the same people that are trying to fight on the other side. War is a horrific thing. I’ve never seen combat but I knew many who has. The men that fought to protect me. Broke down because they hurt the people in the other side who did the same as them. Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers. It’s all one giant loss. This tribute helped me understand this better. It was amazing and I hope this post shows that not everything is peace and love.

I hope to one day make a video game/story that captures every human conflict from 1250 to present day. I hope to display the fear, adrenaline, cause, effects, and hell of all wars especially WWII. You did this so well.
Edit: I’ve started on the script. The Prologue/tutorial is finished. Currently working on game models on UE v.5.2 and the story for chapter 1 circa 1250-1450
If anyone would like to help me work on this game even with just storytelling on real historical figures or VA hmu. Thank you! 🙏🏼

As i was watching All Quiet on the western front (1930) something that didn't hit me until the very end is that all the characters in the scenes you watch are dead. Not just the in movie characters but the actors too. It's just like watching dead people.

I’m practically in tears. Millions upon millions of young men went to their deaths, not only for their country, but for their comrades, family, friends, everything they cared about. The war was not over freedom, not over anything worth a damn. It was all conquest. The Allie’s were literally recapturing what they lost. And to think two stupid bullets caused this makes me weep.

We may all agree for peace but there is always someone who wages war for their reasons and then we have no option left but just to fight. Some say it for honour, others for glory,at the end it is all for nothing but to protect our loved ones so that they may see another day. This is what a soldier dies for

Winners write the history books, thats especially true for WWII. Germany did no right thing in that war and as a German I hate what we did but also I am glad you put some scenes in this video that showed the perspective from our side as well. Really good video capturing the violence of war, especially horrifing to think about right now as Ukraine is getting demolished like France and Poland were from Germany back in 1939. I hope that the Ukrainian people get trough it and get the help they need so we can end this war and build their country back up.

I frequently come to this video and am captivated by its weight. I haven't been able to watch the whole thing through without pausing to compose myself (All of my grandfathers before me fought in the wars so, it's personal). I find that to be the most prominent detail. How you display it in a way that holds you hostage. You HAVE to see it, you MUST endure. Almost makes me bold enough to say that it captures the perspective of the fighters well, except for the comfort of the pause button and everytime I hit the pause, I remember there was no pause, no moment of recollection, no catching your breath.
Needless to say, I'm still working out all the emotions and thoughts that provoke me while enduring this video.. hands, clasped to the armrests, feet, seconds from flight.

It's true that women didn't fight in battles and suffer as the men did, but they still had their own suffering, especially those who lived in Europe. The majority of the movies and documentaries usually focus on the hardships that men did face only, that's why it's biased.

When they did find out, it was a lot more complicated since they had the ultimate reason to fight. That being the brotherhood of a soldier and how that bond is extremely strong. So, while some probably felt disgusted what they were doing, they did it to protect their brother next to them. Not to mention but let’s be honest. Every nation in the war did lots of bad shit. No one was innocent in that war.

@Jarred Jay so u think 2 wrongs make a right I believe you should free everyone anyone all of us do you think just because I did wrong or you did wrong we should not help each other in the future. After covid I believed humanity would become stronger and better and more understanding if we keep blaming each other what will happen where will we go and if you have nothing good to say then don’t don’t say anything have a blessed day

I would do all this and worse to the evil enemy of humanity.
christianity is a crime against humanity and the darkest terror of war is the gavel slamming down upon the sins of the christian.
Forgiveness is the mercy of death that the christian does not deserve.
Act honorably or face the doom that christian germany faced in the 1940s.

Why you always blame to Christianity? Are you blind to see? All war crime against humanity cause by World government and by Leaders well infact the vast majority of war happens because of political not a religious thing nor Christianity. In fact there is no real leader of christian in this whole world. I do believe Bible claims and truth are real cause it's based on reality that we're all sinners and imperfect to God but still his mercy, love, grace and works are still within us but we do disobey Him. The Christianity brings us to eternal life, peace, justice , perfect love , best life , perfect reality , holiness, wholesomeness , prosperity, sucessful, truth and mostly to real GOD. If you are not rooted into Christ then you are not Christian because only JESUS CHRIST IS THE LAST HOPE FOR ALL HUMANITY BUT STILL HUMANITY STILL REJECTS, MOCKS , BETRAYED , AND HATED HIM.
